  • Just answering a question posed my way for someone who has lost their key for their Ikonic vent locks. No need to replace the locks when making the original key is simplistic and only costs a few minutes and the cost of a key blank. Hopefully it is of assistance. I don't edit so the burp is included for free:-)

    These often come with two security screws where the heads can only be turned one way. Which makes them impossible to remove.

    • @Mur-lock68
      @Mur-lock68 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Come across those security many times Gary,typically I can dremel a small horizontal grove in the head enough to get a small flat screw driver to turn screw,lol if you want it out bad enough their are a few ways,accessing the head is the main concern depending weather its recessed or not,just my thought anyway
      Cheers

      You are correct. They give you the option of one way screws or standard phillips head screws. Sometimes you get lucky with removing them with a flat head screw driver if you apply enough pressure while turning. Not all the time though. There are a few other options as well, albeit a bit time consuming:-)

      @@two_tier_gary_rumain That's an option. Using a dremel to make a slit for a flat head is an option too. I remember a tool that was available years ago that removed them. Can't recall the name of the tool though. Haven't heard of it since so maybe it was a gimmick and it had it's day in the sun and disappeared. I am sure a tool could be made to work. Worth thinking about.
