Yes, in a capitalist system there are a lot of exploitative and profit focused companies. But i do think there are sustainable and worker friendly businesses. They may not be that famous and do not have the finances to pay people like Emma Watson but should'nt wealthy people with influences or role models work with these kind of companies. Especially when people talk about sustainability, feminism and stand for equality, justice and humanitarianism? So i do not understand when people with beautiful messages like Emma for example are still campaigning with capitalist companies..well it is what it is.

You're thinking of PR departments making sugary claims that they're "sustainable" and "charity" oriented. That is rarely the case. Heck, even charities are often caught stealing donations to pay themselves and very little actually goes towards the causes they claim to help. Truth is that humans are greedy, that is the case under communism, and capitalism. You think communist oligarchs are benevolent? The difference is that in a capitalist system, anyone can start a business and accumulate wealth, under communism, only members of the state party can do so and they hoarde the wealth in a tiny concentration while the rest of the country starves and struggles in poverty. As for emma? Shes not a saint shes an actress with a team of agents and PR reps making her career decisions for her and they'd never advise her to slum it with an unknown, small brand and risk damaging her brand. Big name stars like Emma are industries onto themselves with sometimes hundreds of people depending on her for their incomes. She might sincerely support things like feminism and equity but I highly doubt the people behind her give a flying fig about those things unless it fits their bottom line.

Amazing project! When she was saying she was not a child anymore, she has lines on her face and she earned them, it was in response to the criticism she got at the BAFTA for looking old compared to how she used to. It was so bizarre to hear the criticism where people were saying ''this is what happens when you become a feminist''. It was just cruel. She obviously does not look like a child anymore... she was in Harry Potter a VERY long time ago! Sustainable would be making less comersials 🙂 producing and consuming less in general. Yeah, making people want to buy somenting like Prada perfumes (and to want to make enough money to be able to even think to buy them) by making a "super artistic" commercial is such a sustainable desicion.
Sustainability wasn’t a general trend in Fashion or any type of high end brands at all. It was something that was reserved to hippies or tote bags or brands of baggie plain clothes no one thought was cool to buy (not my idea of it - this is what most people thought or just called you a tree hugger if you preached about it). Celebs like her have made it cool and fun and trendy ! Prada would’ve kept making perfumes and commercials regardless but Emma wanted to make sure it did so in the most environmentally friendly way ! So yes, her making a commercial and making millions of people want to buy this instead of a brand more damaging to the environment, is impactful !
