    Good tutorial but I am looking for ideas when only using canva. I work with so many things every day so to be able to make everything in one tool /program would make everything easier and in my case - faster. I'm pretty good at canva now and playing a lot and can do more then I thought canva could do, but more inspiration and ideas is always appreciated. And thank you for all your amazing tutorials, tips and amazing advices.

    Juna I just wanted to add a comment for this particular type of image you could just select the curve and then use the Divide button to split them into separate curves. Then when you could also select the ones you want in one curve and use the Add button to re-combine them. I wouldn't use it when dealing with detailed images but for these that are pretty much just plain text it's a faster way for me then having to use the node tool to delete everything except for what I want. Keep making great content!

    Hey Juna! I work in Canva exclusively and really struggling with designing with outlined text, specifically the text appearing blurry in my listing once the mock is uploaded to Etsy - aka, only the outlined text looks blurry, all other text and graphic(s) look great. I thought "Juna is just the guy who may have some insight on this" so hoping you have a suggestion for me to resolve. I love the contrast of solid text and outlined text to make things more interesting, but unfortunately, I've been unable to use those designs to date.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmmm.... I haven't tried that..... I'll have to see why that is.... is there a specific font you are using?

    • @DaveLovelace6398
      @DaveLovelace6398 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DetourShirts It seems to do this for any font/text that I outline whether collegiate style with solid inner and outlined outer or a font that isn't outlined by default but converted to outline (aka, "hollow" effect) in Canvas which is what I did for this most current font which is TT Norms ExtraBold.

    Why do we delete the gradient color layer in Photopea?

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do it in different ways but the way I did it, you are deleting everything that is not the design you want (the white space). Basically you are replacing the black parts of the original with the gradient.

    I have been wondering how to do this, but I don't have Affinity Designer. I am sure you can do this on Photoshop, or whatever. I just never know what to call these designs, to find a video to teach me how to do it on Photoshop or another photo/graphic program.

  • @mixdifferent8428
    @mixdifferent8428 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a question, Mr. Jonah.. Why don't you create this design from scratch on a program "affinity design" and use similar fonts for the same design instead of modifying it. This will be better for beginners.. Some may find it difficult to know the type of fonts used when they see the design for the first time.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You definitely could.... I actually think it's hard for some to make a word like Vibes is here with a V that comes over the top and a S with a line under... that takes some artistic talent

  • @MissMolly3377
    @MissMolly3377 ปีที่แล้ว

    Juna, be really careful using Canva. They finally have come out and said that they are not POD friendly. Mey Aroyo just did a video, yesterday, showing they do not support POD, unless you are bringing in your own graphics and elements and just using them to design them in Canva. Even their employees are not trained on this, so if you email someone, from Canva, about whether you can use it for POD, they can and will give you a wrong answer. So, I don't understand why they would give you guys affiliate link, knowing you are a Print on demand channel. It is really horrible that they didn't clarify this sooner. A lot of people can be hurt by this, but, I guess, greed is more important too them. Anyway, they don't allow POD, unless you bring in your own graphics. Oh well, I guess Kittl will be getting more subs, I know I am going to get a subscription and cancel my Canva Pro.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  ปีที่แล้ว

      So crazy... I still need to watch Mey's video... thanks for the tips... I'll hold back on Canva videos until I learn more
