Congrats on your bundle of joy! The colic is not joke, it literally drove me crazy, you feel bad, the baby feels bad and the postpartum especially when healing from a C-section just the worse. My heart is with you, things will definitely get better. If you haven't, try gripe water before he sleeps it may help. I used that and teething tabs and helped a lot! Welcome to motherhood, I'm sure it's now that you imagine, but definitely a blessing!

Welcome back Sabrina!! I have been waiting for a baby update video for a long time. I found out I was pregnant one month after you announced your pregnancy, so I was hella excited. Let me just say that I am so sorry that your pregnancy and labor/delivery was horrible. I was finishing my last semester of grad school during my first and second trimester (from around January to May). Being a music grad student, that was the most tired I’ve ever been. I was at school all day every single day of the week, while being nauseous and exhausted on top of that. I somehow made it through.
My baby was due September 14th, but she decided to come on the 20th. I was scheduled to be induced the night of the 20th, but my water broke that same morning. I was in the most painful labor 5 days before my water broke. Surprisingly, my delivery was fine. But when we got home, all hell broke loose. I didn’t make enough milk for breastfeeding so she essentially wasn’t eating for a few days, so we had to supplement. I just switched to formula all together. She also had an irritation under her arm which made her fussy. Once we solved all of that, We thought we were doing everything right, until her doctors appointment last week. She is still underfed and not gaining weight, and now she has to take medicine for her acid reflux. She only slept on my chest for the first month which is dangerous due to SIDS if I fall asleep (she’s much better now at 6 weeks) I guess I’m writing all this to say that this shit is hard, but it’s hella worth it! I’m so excited to see all of your nursery and general decorating videos because I’m in a decorating slump😂 Sending you and your family lots of love🤎

Oh sweetheart I am so sorry you went through that. It's amazing what we women go through we really are superheroes. I never heard of this condition before so I learned something. My kids are almost 16 and 19 and I can recall going through bloating and swelling , morning sickness that lasted all day for almost entire pregnancy depression etc. and feeling unpretty during pregnancy and so I can resonate with those feelings. At the end of the day you have a healthy baby and that's what matters and make sure you take care of yourself. Welcome back to TH-cam and take your time. Sending love and prayers 🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜

    Sabrina,
I am so sorry to hear all that you went through. However, I am happy to see that you are doing well enough to be on camera. Take it one day at a time. Things will get better. I completely relate to the surprise of an emergency C-section. The mental gymnastics that a mother goes through finding out the birthing experience is not what you had in mind is traumatic in and of itself. Delivering a happy, healthy baby is a blessing, but it doesn't take away those feelings of disappointment. You have been missed. I pray that you take care of yourself and put yourself and your family first. We love seeing your videos, however, take all the time you need to make sure you're giving yourself the best care and grace you can. Thank you for the update. Blessings to you and your family!

Wow. My daughter went through the exact same skin condition in her pregnancy at the end in the last 2 months. It was exactly as you described too. We were very concerned about the baby’s health and hers at that point. She made it through and delivered my healthy glambaby 🎉I’m so glad you made it through your pregnancy and delivery successfully! I was wondering where you’d gone away to because I’m just now getting into your similar aesthetics in home decor and smart home technology-I was like wait a minute, I follow a TH-camr who has the same style! Glad you’re well and congratulations on your new baby. Take your time and definitely take good care of yourself in this process 🫶🏽

to hear you had a healthy baby despite the fact that your pregnancy was not the best experience. I chuckled a little when you talked about getting an epidural while having contractions because I was adamant about not getting an epidural for fear of getting paralyzed. So I didn't (this was years ago). But whenever someone asked about my son's delivery and I said I had him naturally. They would be shocked.
What's crazy is I am 5'7" and was 110 lbs when I got pregnant. I was told I was underweight and high risk. So I was doing everything i could to gsin weight. Long story short. My body wasn't built for the 40lbs I gained, which left me with long-term back pain despite losing the weight. It would be debilitating where I couldn't even walk. Once I couldn't even get out of my car at work, and when a co-worker tried to help me out, I passed out and woke up in the emergency room. Now I have to get epidural steroid shots once every one or two years when the pain gets bad and before it's debilitating. SMH

Blessings to you. Welcome back. Glad you and baby are well! Sharing a packing tip that I find helpful but is tedious - number your boxes and make a list of its contents. The list can be short not helps with unpacking and keeping track of things. Also helpful, keep items on hangers and punch hole in plastic bag and use if as a garment bag. When unpacking you can just place on rod and rip bag off! Happy moving!

I think I held my breath through your entire story. I had the EXACT same birth story - I mean from wanting to clean the night before (stayed up all night cleaning) then really early in the morning my water broke but for whatever reason I thought I just couldn't stop peeing. My son was 3 months early though so even though my body had progressed, the doctors weren't confident in his development at the time so I had to have a c section. (I for sure thought I was going to labor, do the water birth etc) but by God's grace he was delivered by c-section and now he is a 3 year old the size of a 4/5 year old :)
The sleeping gets better! The colic gets better (what helped us was ALOT of skin to skin trying different formulas (i also breastfed quite a bit) baby yoga (maybe I was delusional at the time and thought it was doing something) - all in all, all babies are so different you will find something that works

WOULD LOVE TO SEE how you integrate your smart products in your new space. What kind of automations you have set up for your family. Im looking for ideas for my space with my family. :)

Aww thank you for letting us know what’s been going on! I’m a mommy also. I work from home and I’m trying to figure out how to have a functional baby friendly work space! I’m also in a one bedroom with a 22 month old and husband!

Omg hun. So sorry you went through this and thanks for sharing. My pregnancy wasn’t good either and I fell back from TH-cam as well. So glad you and your baby are ok. My daughter was a colic baby and I barely had milk to breastfeed. It will get better. Hugs.

My pregnancy wasn’t nearly as traumatic but I had 1 child 15 years and that was enough for me. I always said if I did another it would be through surrogacy I use to feel bad for saying that but my pregnancy was not a great experience. Motherhood on the other hand has been the absolute best. Even with a crazy teenager.
