I’ve been a RN for 43 years, and the plan-demic opened my eyes. I did not comply, and I retired last year due to my disgust with the medical industrial complex. I have learned a lot about holistic medicine, and I will continue to expand my knowledge.

I'm an Rn also and have practiced all various types of healing that work!. People can be so indoctrinated and legalistic in their beliefs and actions. The darkness uses those things to upset other people. There is an invisible war going on all around us . We need to remember that and be aware of those principalities in the air as the Bible teaches us.

Well said, Patera. When I was 5, my grandpa took me to an Indian man in the mountains of WV. I was scared, but i knew my grandpa wouldn't let anyone hurt me. I had warts on my hands, and the Indian rubbed my hands with something and spoke some words. I had to pay him a penny a wart. 7 cents, never have had warts again. They were gone the next day. I'm 57 now, and that's a fond memory I hold onto. God provides everything we need to heal. Praise Him

Spot on Patara! My grandma just passed last year. 97, and grew her own food every year. She also grew her own herbs. She was a born again Christian, and had a deep personal relationship with Jesus. If not for her knowledge of how to use herbs, as the Bible says to, I would have suffered major burns on my arm when I was 17. She was teaching me how to can jelly, and I accidentally picked up the wrong jar, and it spilled all over my arm. SHe ran outside, grabbed a few herbs and aloe, came back in and knelt by my side, held my arm, prayed for me, and then told me to sleep. I slept for about an hour, woke up, and my arm was TOTALLY healed. I have no doubt my Savior Jesus healed me, only because of my grandma's faith and obedience to Jesus. As our Bible says, "Heal thyself with thy food" What the heck do people think God was talking about? HERBS. And yes, I am from southwest VA (Coeburn) And it is where my grandma was born and raised. Love you Patara!!!!!!!

    Hi,
I've been watching your channel for a while now.
My great-grandmother came over from Ireland as a small child to Bryson City, NC. She had 15 children and my grandmother had 16. She was called a granny witch. She was a healer, a midwife, and loved God. She and my grandmother had special gifts. They learned many things from the Cherokee women and they learned from her. Dr's couldn't make it up their mountain in the winter. My great grandmother was their only hope. When she was dying the women from Cherokee walked 5 miles to pray, chant, and sing around the outside of her house until she passed.
My great grandmother was a good loving granny witch. May God bless you and your channel.

Thru the hill country of West Virginia, Tennessee, and back home to Kentucky!
My grandmother was Cherokee and Scottish, my grand father was Scottish/Irish, and my dad was German!
I am a retired Marine over 70 and still hear her voice saying! Listen too the voice inside you!
I lived with a granny witch! And loved her!

I'm an aromatherapist and boy Patara, you're correct about rosemary and lavender essential oils used for your health. Both of these essential oils can easily reach upper and lower parts of your respiratory tract (by diffusing them or inhaling them), and because of their well-documented antimicrobial and anti‐inflammatory properties, many people successfully use them for RTI’s (respiratory tract infections). Hospitals actually use Lavender essential oil for many different things. They would be a great addition to any prepper’s inventory! I am never without them to diffuse in cold and flu season. Always research them before use so you use them correctly!

You preach it Girl. I'm from upper East TN. I was taught to granny witch. I am also of Cherokee and Scotch-Irish heritage. My Cherokee Great-grandmother lived in the mountains of Union County and Claiborne, from the small band that hid to prevent being sent to trail of tears. She was a " granny witch", medicine woman, you choose. There were no doctors. My grandmother told me that her mother raised and foraged medicinal herbs. People would come to her from all around, or she would go to them.
People better wake up. With loss of medical providers and pharmaceuticals we better learn to care for ourselves as much as possible. I know I do for me and my family. Love ya Patara.

Call me names and cast aspersions, it slides off my shoulders like water shedding off a goose... doesn't stop the mugwort growing, doesn't stop the elderberry blooming, so it's obviously not meant for me or my plants ❤️

Granny stuck my thumb in the ice tea rock and then made me keep it in a glass of tea. The bank ladies thought my mom should be called and I should go to the hospital. Granny said I would have a terrible burn if I did that. My thumb was just red and tender. Another time I had caught something that settled in my lungs. Could not shake the cough. When I got to work, Granny led me to the kitchen where a pot was steaming on the stove. Must have been 3 onions in the pot
She had me lean over it and covered my head. Did that 3 times that day. Cough was gone.

I don’t guess I ever heard old time remedies called ‘grannywitching’ before but they sure work. I have been doing it for years. You are one of the most down to earth, common sense women on TH-cam and I learn so much from you. I too think you should put some of these old remedies and recipes in book form along with entertaining stories of how they came about and about your ancestors.
Thanks for all you do to share your knowledge and wisdom with us.

You go girl!! I'm from Hazard, Perry Co, Kentucky, deep in the hills of Appalachia. My direct Grandfather and his family were the first people to settle there in the 1700s. My family first came to this country in 1620 and every single surname in my direct line was here before 1700, no "newbies" in my family history. I'm Scotch-Irish, a bit of English and Welsh. Hell, our people made this country what it is...we're the ones that fought the Revolution and won it! I've done genealogy for nearly 30 years now and I had some remarkable Granny Witches in my family, most of them were wives of mountain Preachers! People in this country today simply don't know history, and don't want to know. Schools stopped teaching true history in the 20th century, a great many foreigners pouring in at the same time. And now look at us. Don't you ever stop being exactly who and what you are...Salt of the Earth.

I live in SC and I am 75 years old. My mama took me to a man that removed warts on me. I was about 4 or 5 years old but I remember him talking to me and spitting on the warts. When I got back in the car I tried to wipe the spit off but it was already dry and in about a week they were all gone!! I am very thankful for "granny witch men" !!! I am a Christian and I will always believe that God had a part in it!! I hope you will soon feel better and always listen to your grandmother!!

Amen sister Patara, great video! People who want to erase the past are bound to repeat it. I love the old ways and way taught by my great granny and my mamaw . We were just poor farmers and didn’t have money to run to the doctor every time we were sick. You were rubbed down with salve, an old towel was heated by the wood stove and wrapped and pinned around you and you were given homemade cough syrup. You then went to bed and sweated out your fever. My grandparents did it, I did it with my children and now they do it with their children. Thank you Lord for letting us learn the old ways…granny witching. Continuing to lift both you and James up in prayer for healing and a speedy recovery. ❤️

Patera, you are so right. My grandmom raised me, she was in her 70's and she used many of the old ways. If you had a bad chest cold she would use a mustard plaster and put it on your chest and put you in bed under the covers, if you had an earache she would put onions on your ears in a little pillow after cooking them to draw out the infections and Black sauve she used for everything I think but today you can't ever buy the original black sauve, she used many things to heal and they worked, but there was no money to be made just back to health was the goal and many lose sight of the Wisdom our people knew. Thank you for sharing your medicine and speaking the truth. WE APPRECIATE all your knowledge. God Bless you , feel better soon. from NJ

Patara, I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this foolishness while you are ill and recovering. From California and raised out on the desert. We didn't use the term "Granny witch" but practiced the art of using what we had on hand to get well. Mother did the best she could with the few things she had to care for all 10 of her children. For someone to get all fussy and act like a 'judgy spit camel' is an indication for their own short comings. Get well soon.

My mother didn't have a lot at her disposal..but she would fry up garlic and onion and other herbs (depending on what she had) in Vick's vaporub and put it in pouches and pin it to our chest and backs under our shirts. She also gave us the homemade whiskey cough syrup...and we got better! I also have taken away warts for many family/friends...as my dad taught me. Pipe smoke into the ears of a baby with an ear infection? 7th son of a 7th son....herbs are awesome! Too many to name here that I was raised on. Make no mistake...we will turn to modern medicine if needed. But a lot of times the old ways work wonders!
