Hey! I just uploaded a new video for glass rails. But it explains a few other details. If you haven’t built yours yet. Here’s your nudge haha th-cam.com/video/VjyZQUwEl08/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TBSESZYa3J06dhEA

Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it I just uploaded a new video if you want to check it out. Here’s the link th-cam.com/video/VMNnKXMK5FA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks! im glad you enjoyed it. It really depends on the size of your railing etc but these panels were each under 100$ and the wood was about 400$. Over all its under 1000$ for this size. I hope that helps!
@@fineye5 I still would I wouldn’t have a single panel over 3 feet long. Just my personal preference but I think it would look funny if it was too much glass.
I ordered some from a local glass company but I’ve also done it where I find what’s stocked on Home Depots website. (They have so many sizes) for their exterior glass railing systems. And I’ll build my railing off that. Hope that helps!

Hahaha. No I don’t like wearing them. I feel like it’s actually more dangerous because you don’t have full use of your hands. They get in the way. In my opinion
Multi tool- most underrated yes, most annoying sound - also yes 🤣. Loved this diy!
Literally sounds so
Horrible hahaha

Awesome railing!!!
Thanks so much!! I’ve installed a Few now
Thats the style I’m going to go with for my deck projects for clients. Good to see a tradeswoman doing her thing also!
Love the tutorial! Just wondering about the costs? Thank you!

Very nice work. I know what you mean by not wanting to take the whole skirting board out ha. Great tool to go around that.
right? it makes so much less work!
@@dcwoodworks it does indeed. If I had more money for more tools like these I'd be a happy guy ja
@@See_you_next_timee this one isn’t very expensive. Under 100$ usually. Plug ins are always cheaper also
@@dcwoodworks oh that's good. Thanks
Did you finish the wood? Looks great!
Thanks! What do you mean by finish?
Nice work
Thank you! I have a lot more coming, finally getting to the editing. I wish it was still as nice out in this video haha
Can't wait
Excellent
@@dawnewalker7629 thanks Dawne!!
@DCWOODWORKS Happy New Year !
Are the relief cuts down the center of the post or just in the top and bottom plates?
Yup they are. I set the glass 2 inches from the upright posts so no need to cut them
Where did you order the glass from? I live in the dmv and you made this look so simple!
Whats the dmv?? Theres a local glass company near me that will cut glass to any size you need. Theres probably one near you!
Sorry I thought dc meant the capital.
@@lostquartermaster52 oh haha no worries! No it’s my initials
@@lostquartermaster52 I’m in Canada
Where did you order the glass from?
I got it from my local home depot.
My railings are 6ft long should I have 3 post or 2 ?
I would personally do three. So your glass panels are just under 3 feet each. That will look really nice
@@dcwoodworks . My mistake I ment to say there 5 ft should I do the same ?
@@fineye5 I still would I wouldn’t have a single panel over 3 feet long. Just my personal preference but I think it would look funny if it was too much glass.
@@dcwoodworks okay thank you so much!
@@fineye5 no problem! Good luck with it
Where did u source the glass?
I use a local company to me called Halifax glass
Beautiful❤ you are
Glad you liked the video!
@@dcwoodworks I like that 🥰

No gloves? I must be too soft..

@@dcwoodworks Same! The only gloves I've ever tolerated were fingerless, and even then I had to get a warning splinter to put them on.
@@thanatossassin haha. See you get it. even the slimmest gloves make me feel like my hands only work at 80%
It will hurt babies
Lol what a comment. No it will not.
It has to be tempered glass, she didn’t mention that, yes plain plate glass would be super dangerous
