(Personally, I think any ships will be forced and with so little of the show left, they'd be better off cutting out romance all together. The only "couple" I could see having an on-screen kiss and not have the writing questioned would be shunk. Klance, Shieth, Allurance, and [whatever KeithxAxca is I forgot how it was spelled] will be rushed and forced in everyone's eyes. I do love how Pidge is kind of left alone.)

hmmm shikari? 100%. It’s actually the worst offender, from what I’ve seen. I can barely find any content for the show that isn’t related to the ships. It’s frustrating, and one of the reasons I stopped watching after season one.

There was definitely a subset that wasnt/wasn't AS concerned with the shipping, but the things they were interested in like the character writing and hints of development arcs and ongoing mysteries had mostly realised by this point that they weren't getting what they wanted bc there wasnt enough episodes left for everything to be wrapped up satisfyingly. The shippers could at least enjoy little moments and stuff sprinkled throughout the rest of the content like they always had, so they had something to cling on for, you know?

There is this theory that Lance loses vision in his left eye (his shooting eye) and there is a heck load of evidence for that. Pike has a scar on his left eye. The Lance statue made of scrap Pidge made had a smaller and less eye-looking left eye. When poofed out of the acid, Lance's clutches his face, but, more importantly, his left eye. Lance gains the sword, but if he can shoot, what does he need it for? Lance gets an arc, we can get character development from this. Lance sees himself as the Sharpshooter, but he needs to realise he is more than that. Because Voltron loves to break our hearts. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

Man that LGBTQI+ controversy really drove me away from this fandom... KLance was once a beloved ship of mine that just spiraled out of control due to its supports having rampant hatred on every single Shiro ship, also that blackmailing incident did not help at all. It sucks that I'll probably not love Voltron as much as when I first watched it anymore, especially since it is about to be done...

Some rabid Klance shipper got hold of Dreamworks' confidential images and stuff during a tour of the studio, and uploaded them to tumblr. And then they refused to take them down unless Dreamworks would make Klance canon. It was last year, during like... season 3?
Not to mention the whole creation of "Leakira" and the whole premise of "rewriting the show" is just....obnoxious.

Dennis Roos it wasn’t originally a Klance shipper who took the pics on a tour idt, but after DW told the original poster to take it down, they also asked the people to reblogged/retweeted the pics. However, one Klance shipper refused to do so and tried to blackmail DW.
Course, there are some ppl who think it was actually a shaladin trolling as a klance shipper, but given klantis’ other actions, I wouldn’t put it past a klance shipper.

The showrunners don’t have control over the advertisement of Voltron, so they couldn’t help Adashi being hyped up as much as it was, and now they’re being blamed for it... But, weren't there a bunch of interviews and stuff with the show staff and they talked all about Adam and Shiro and stuff? Also, what happened to Pidge's they/them/their pronouns? Pidge was referred to as "she?"

Terriermon50 As far as I can tell, Pidge has always been explicitly a female since the first season. The only time I've ever seen people use "they/them" pronouns for her was in the fandom. She doesn't conform to gender stereotypes but she's always been a female.

They wanted people to focus on shiro and not adam or their relationship which was brief solely bc they were supposed to just inform you shiro is mlm. Also about Pidge, the only people who used "they/them" pronouns on pidge were the fandom.

atleast plot and animation wise, this is the best season we've had since season 2. I don't like that adam died tho, that felt lazy. Also the majority of these "OOC" moments where in the joke episode, chill.
The plot is honestly full of roles, they make use of other questionable writing tropes and lazy solutions, making it one of th weakest; my guess is that they're are being rushed for Dreamworks cause the toys aren't selling. The animation in other hand is indeed their prime, something I thought would be hard to beat after Black Paladin.
I hadn’t realized Adam was one of the ones that died in the initial fighter attack. Like, I’m kind of upset with how they handled Adam and how there was zero reference from Shiro for 7 SEASONS. Other than that, it was pretty okay.

Voltron probably has the most toxic fanbase... and it's all because of salty shippers who don't get what they want. Even before season 7. Why can't we all just sit back and enjoy the show for what it has? For example, some good ol' characters arcs and backgrounds! It's so awesome to discover more about our favorite characters!
But a big portion of this fandom will completey ignore that.. or if they don't, they twist it in ways you couldn't imagine were possible. Keith meets an alien girl and saves her? "AHHHH KEITH THEY'RE MAKING KEITH HET OMG I HATE THIS ITS ALL TRASH"
Um??? Calm down??? Just because you ship Klance or Sheith or whatever doesn't mean it's going to be cannon? YOU aren't the creator of the show. Let's just wait and see how it all turns out! Maybe, Dreamworks is having different characters interact with others in certain ways to build or break their relationship. So just because Keith saves a girl doesn't mean they're going to fall in love and it'll be cannon.
Just... sit back, watch, analyze, and appreciate the work so many people put into this awesome show!

This is exactly how I feel about it! All of this hate radiating is driving me insane! People are too quick to pick and choose what can be considered bad (or isn't what they want), and blow it completely out of proportion without looking at any of the amazing work that's been created.

It did answer what was happening on Earth and how the paladins arrived there. Also how the paladins felt about also quitting Voltron if they finally got rest. And it answered what Pidge’s dad was doing and what Earth did with the Altean information. There was a lot of answers.
I ship Hunk and Shay, but I need Romelle and Hunk to get some bro time because I feel like those two have so much potential for one on one interaction. Two peeps with the same ideals, but one who is a moron and the other who is a genius.
I for one really enjoyed this season. I'm glad Hunk got some major emotional moments. I loved seeing Sam and Colleen start to prepare Earth for the Galra invasion and all the new characters that came out of it. And I loved Ezor and Zethrid together. They're not actually dead, are they?

No, I did as well. Honestly about the being tired thing, same. A season or two ago if they set up a scene like that I would’ve completely flipped, but in this most recent season (if in the event that they did indeed die) I would’ve just gone “well fuck my life” and called it a day.

Before, there was too much of the Galra empire left to defeat and no one to replace the Paladins, but this season, the Galra were a very different enemy and the show had introduced new characters who could conceivably take over for the originals if they died. I still didn't think they'd do it though, since restarting like that at this point in the show would be a _terrible_ idea.

I doubted that they’d actually kill them all off, but there was still that moment of “oh shit, what?” WheeZE still I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of them gets killed off in Season 8. I mean,, because of the uproar fans would get in it’s not likely that it will happen, but still honestly at this point in the show it’s something I’d almost expect.

The show itself is fine, and so are most of the people who watch it. The thing is just that the problematic fans are pretty loud and sometimes hard to escape. I really recommend Voltron otherwise if it sounds interesting though!

I’m lowkey the “Stop?! Hating?!?” Person, but less aggressive about it. I’m not threatening people for hating the show, but I’m like “uhhh you shouldn’t go after the people working on it. There could be restrictions or something. Please stop.” I’m also the type of person (this isn’t in the vid this I just my idea of it) sitting in the corner who liked some parts and disliked others and is rocking with her hands over her ears saying “everyone stop fighting” over and over again under my breath, and my postit note would be “new to the fandom” because I started watching immediately after season 6 came out....

I loved season 7. I know many wont agree with me but... I thought the writing was on point, character development was amped up, the action and animation were amazing, the feelings that they were trying to spread reached me, and I loved Shiro and Lgbtq+ rep.
The episode where the paladins get seperated from the lions is a perfect example for the writing, action, and character development aspect. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time while the team showed real struggle and real emotions that touched me. Hunk ruled in this episode, then seeing the team flying towards earth hit me hard. Even though they made it to earth in that episode, I still loved everything in it.
The next couple episodes after were absolutely AMAZING! The fight for earth wasnt what I expected. It was hopeless. And they showed that and made you feel it. People complaining about Adam are not viewing the show as a WARTIME show. People die. And to show that even strong people like Adam die, is the huge push of hopelessness. Adam was not there as a love interest, he was there as an anchor for Shiro. He was fighting for earth and his past lover. His heart break was subtle but you could feel it throughout the show. Just because they couldnt outright say it doesnt mean it didn't happen. All of you saying, "I couldnt even tell!" are lying. They showed actual love. Adam asked him if he cared about him. They literally BROKE UP on screen. If you didnt get that, how are you people picking up on all of these other supposed ships.
I really believe this was a great season, and just because what I wanted to didnt happen... I'm not going to throw a fit over it. I am going to appreaciate Voltron: Legendary Defenders in all its glory.

I agree and disagree. People like pointing out the negatives of season 7. Hunk got an amazing character development! I loved it! In fact i actually cried ^^' and when Shay and Hunk reunited had be sobbing. My boy Matt came back with that Captain America body tho. Also, people tend to forget that Shiro IS the lgbtq+ rep. Just because Adam died doesn't automatically turn Shiro straight. The only thing I didn't like was Allura blushing around Lance. That was only it. Other than that I loved this season. Also, people forget that this story is about WAR, not romance. Lotura only happened because the war was dimming down a bit so she allowed herself to get into a relationship. Which is different.

I feel like Adam could’ve gotten more screentime and as a sheith shipper i couldnt be more blessed AGAIN. IN SEASON 7. And im more towards the stop hating guy bc the animation was top notch and the content delivered to us was much higher quality compared to other seasons
