In this video you'll see my unboxing of the camera it self, first impressions, and the camera comparison with my Osmo Pocket 3. yes i know its totally for 2 different applications but i will be using both in conjunction with each other so that is why i compared both since i will be using them at the same time and splicing in content with each other. I also noticed the Action Pro 5 has a nicer color to it after correction and it seems like it has a built in skin smoothing effect which is fine but as you can see in the side by side that the Osmo pocket 3 has a lot more detail in my hair and face where as the Osmo action 5 pro seems to have better skin tones to my true skin tone a little more tanned and you see my face doesn't have a lot of the acne or scaring you see on the Osmo pocket side and if you look at my hair you'll see the deeper detail of the individual hairs than on the Osmo action pro 5. Yes these camera are 2 separate situations but if I'm going to be using both in a video i wanted to see how the image quality would match up. I'm excited to started using this thing!
Yea here in japan all ive seen have been alot of Osmo Pocket 3's and Osmo Action Cams. Could just be convenience or just how the global market has been or just the support available to this region of the world compared to GoPros, but Osmo series line up has really been stepping up the game in their image quality and products. Very Very competitive
I’m looking for a small action camera, not for action, but to record family and fun and also for daytime walks and walks at night in the city lights. Mostly POV walks. I’m also going to use it to record inside malls and shopping centers and for evening city walks in various settings from bright to dark. I already have a pocket 3 which is amazing, and a GoPro which is great for sunny skies but fails in low or artificial light. I was waiting on the ace pro 2, but I think I’m leaning towards the action 5 now, as a sidekick to my beloved pocket 3. Do you think it could film at evenings and inside places like malls without jitter and with accuracy in the mixed light? Do you recommend it overall?
Thats me too, my osmo pocket 3 has been the main point and shoot for me on majority of my vlogs and shoots. The osmo action 5 seems like a perfect small "action" camera to film small areas. The size suprised me since this is my first action camera. Also action camera in general term is just used to describe a small form factor durable camera for everyday things not just intense sports or so.

I like Osmo cameras, very great cameras for the price!
The osmo series line up is super super affordable and great image quality for the price and very competitive in the market
I've always wondered about that. I've seen more people use OSMO in Asia than GO PROs.
