Derpy Llama same. I picked up a side quest for grizzleheim yet I didn't have crowns at the time. It was the fishing quest where you talk to harrek silverscale.
I did exactly the same back when I thought I was going to do every single side quest, and then just didn't want to later. Still, I later cleared my quest books out and it's so satisfying seeing them empty after all that time; I highly recommend.
I will say I personally picked up every quest so when I’m max and done with the new world (empyrea) I could help anyone with any quest side quest or not

Mistakes I made: I trained fully in a secondary class I didnt upgrade gear at the bazaar, didn't even know about it. Any upgrades I got were drops. I didn't discard cards, just in case I needed them in the future.
I used to train fully in balance(for blades and precicion) untill i realized mastery was a thing, now i spent my points for saytr, feint, tower sheild, and astral damage boosts
1) DEFINITELY had no clue how to discard even though it was fairly obvious. Got to level 36 before I realized what I was missing. 2) Trained full storm as a fire wizard. Had no way to heal or buff my spells, just spammed fire and storm until I died. Thank goodness for being able to buy back your training points! 3) Back in the day when pets were just for show, I spent way too much time refreshing the pets tab trying to get the “coolest” pet. I was so oblivious.
@@jacebeleren2621 Yeah, and fairly early at that. I downloaded it last year because of nostalgia and played for a bit, did quests, until I got to one that requires me to go out of the starting area, but I needed crowns.

When I showed this game to my sister I had to ask her why she was still using the wand you get from the first quest in unicorn way. Lol she used it up until Marleybone and kept telling me: "but this wand gives me cards!"
I got a crown shop only drop from the King fire elf boss battle on firecat ally. never gonna unequip that nor my first wand. unless there is a wand that gives me each of the other schools and higher damage stuff.
Yeah, weak 1 pip cards. lol I love my wands and shields. Zero pip spells are the best in the game. I have a wand for each school and swap them out for each battle. Wands that give cards are for noobs who have no clue. Why spend a pip for a weak spell, when you can get almost the same results for 0 pips?
OMG i used the starter wand up until i got to mt olympus bc it gave me a one pip heal and i could use it on other people too - im death so once i got to mt olympus i had sacrifice and the spear thing from there lol

huh really? i did every quest in wiz city and krok and was only level 28 or 29 i forget.... maybe its cause i didn't do the cyrus sunken city side quest cause i had noone to do it with maybe idk oof
being a higher level and doing main quests in worlds with low level/ranking bosses is the best thing anyone can do bc that means you'll take less damage & won't die easily and get forced back to safe places i.e. The Oasis/The Commons etc.
Me too, I went through Grizzleheim because I got a glitch where I didn't get the spiral key for Dragonspyre so when I finally got to Dragon, (I was like lvl 62 death) I rolled through the whole world. It was funny when Queued up with two lower level players for the final boss in Dragon 💀
Me too, I also have O.C.D. I would legit pick up anything I could and would get aggravated if one specific area didnt have an NPC to take a quest from.
3 mistakes I made 1= I equipped every item I got in the game 2= I accidentally unequipped my wand and I didn’t know why I didn’t get some hits 3= training a whole secondary school
At this point I wonder if there's anyone who _didn't_ fall for secondary schools. My Death Wizard trained all the way into the Life School when I was young ;-; possibly the worst school you can pair Death with, all things considered.
To be fair the game encourages you to put all your training points into a "secondary school" when really its pretty impractical since you cant use power pips on them
My main school is fire and I did storm for the secondary but I kind regret it but I don't cause I got a storm pet and wand so lol and I'm planning to do life spells *probs gonna regret later too lol*
Idk I think the secondary school thing worked for me. I chose a Life wizard to have higher healing values on my spells, but then made storm my secondary for higher damage spells.
Discarding cards is the one thing I don't see how so many people missed, but you're definitely not alone there--it's apparently really common. Considering the game tells you how to discard with that text right above your cards, it's one of the first things I noticed when I started. That being said, I've absolutely made my fair share of mistakes, and I still sometimes learn new things after years of playing. Some mistakes include: -selling everything I had (including my deck and wand) on a level 2 wizard for a dragon pet. This was back in 2008 before Advanced Pets were a thing, and I didn't know how to get gold to buy a new deck; I also didn't know I could make other characters, so I abandoned that account and made a new one (the one I use now) in early 2009. -Spending 60,000 Crowns on the Hoard of the Hydra Pack in an attempt to get the wand in the pack. To this day, years later, I never got that wand, but I did get 2 Hydra Mounts and all of the Beast pets, so it wasn't a total loss; still, it was stupid to spend my Crowns that way. As far as a first mount, I was one of those players who spent weeks farming the Kraken to save up for a mount. I bought the Chestnut Pony since it's also 50,000 Gold like the broom.
OMG SAME! the freaking labyrinth in dragonspyre... I did it three maybe four times 🤦🏽♀️ especially because the myth quest to get orthrus is there and you actually have to do half of the dungeon to even get go the tower 🤦🏽♀️😂
A big mistake I did was back before the diego tutorials existed. I had no idea why I couldnt cast lightning bats unless I fizzled. (Which was quite often because I was storm). But it confused me so bad why it wouldnt let me use the stronger spell. I only learned what a pip was until I was level like 17
@@ic3wolf988 oh I know how they work know, if you wait for the next turn you earn a pip, or on rare occasions a power pip that is worth two pips to the school you're in. More pips you have the stronger the spells you can cast.
I play solo usually, and I always do all the side quests and I really need it. I’m usually five levels above where I need to be and because I don’t have any backup, it’s really important to have.
Oh, here's my greatest noob mistake: I like doing side quests to be overpowered for main quests and because they're fun but my mistake at first was picking them up and not combining them with the main quests which will often have you killing the same mobs as the side.
“How would you know you could discard, unless the game tells you?” As the spell select screen literally shows “ *left click* to select, *right click* to discard”. It did take me a while to notice as well, but that was funny lol.
This is what I did back on my ice wizard. 1) Train all the life school spell, but I only needed satyr and that was it. 2) Wasting training points 3) Fill up the whole deck when I got to Krokotopia. I should have put less spells in it so I can attack faster.
I have satyr from an amulet so I stopped training life and went to fire. But I feel really dumb being level 34 and not thinking about leaving my deck with empty spots to fight faster.
One thing for me was that I always filled my decks all of the way up. It makes battles take way longer because you have to find the spells that you want. Now I only have less than 10 cards for my monster deck, and less than 35 for my boss deck.
I tried going lean and mean once or twice. The first time I ran out of cards, I went back to using a full deck. You can just discard the ones you don't want.
OH MY WORD! dude when i started a few years back i didn't know you could discard or draw a tc, and i trained all the trainable spells for storm, on my FIRE wizard. but as i got into pvp i actually started learning the stuff.
There was so many mistakes I made when I first started. Honestly, people loved laughing at me instead of offering advise or help in any way. I had to learn most of it myself, but it also taught me confidence. Great video and topic.
I had an account 8 years ago and I loved to play this game everyday but I couldn't get a subscription or any crowns so all I did was grind the first area over and over again. I got the best gear the best spells and best mounts I could while just grinding the start area. I got to a high level. I think 16 by grinding mobs one xp at a time. Thats how much I loved the game. I killed the Kraken probably about 300 times and completed any and every quest I could get my hands on. So sad...If only I could have convinced my mum to buy just a months subscription I could have still been into this game.
I have six wizards, all at level 30 or higher. I have never once bought crowns. The trick is to do the daily pekron reading quests every day (with all of your wizards) and do the trivia games every day, to win crowns. Watching the earn crowns videos used to be good too, but they are few and far between nowadays. It's boring doing the same quests 6 times over (with all 6 of my wizards) and playing the same trivia games every day, but the game is free that way.
Haha yes the Kraken spams! Used to give mounts, don't know if it still does. But it was always funny seeing all the players whose subscriptions ran out show off their op spells by spamming Kraken with us lower levels that never got subscription in the first place. Their bubbles (like wildfire) always amazed me lmao
I’m a level 50 but up until around level 35 is when I noticed my biggest mistake was wearing gear that only gave me a lot of health and cards and absolutely 0 damage or resistance 💀
My biggest mistake was when I tried to solo housing dungeons at like level 9. I also never trained pets, and speaking of which, didn't even know how to equip pets, i thought you were supposed to go in your house and stand next to your pet and it would become yours...
@Amanpreet Hayre Didn't you guys notice hundreds of wizards going into that building and get curious and check it out? lol I think that's how I found it.
When I first played when I was little was I didnt know what prisms were for and I somehow got through the pyramid of fire as a fire wizard without prisms, I also fully trained balance as a secondary.
Xx-gemini-xX 123 lol i was such a noob I would just wait for someone to show up at the sigil for bosses or I would friend people in the commons and ask them to help :-p
I went for probably 20+ levels not knowing what the Prism did, because as soon as I got it I tried to test it on a Lost Soul (which has no boosts or resistance), and thought the Prism just didn't do anything at all. Decided it was useless until someone showed me what it was.
I gave up on sidequests when I reached Krokotopia cause I could just be working on one for like 20 mins or more, turn it in, and then the same character would give me another quest. I'll return to completing once I max out my character 😅
Same. But, as he said, if you pick them up do them. I like doing them for both fun and to be above level for the main. But I scrupously do them as I go and have learned where I can combine with the main quest.
If you enjoy the lore, then you really should be doing side quests and reading/listening to the dialogue. If you just want to level up fast, then you can skip them and just skip through all the dialogue.
Some of the side quests get solved as you are doing your main quests though and will give you cool drops and extra bosses and such...as long as you aren't in a hurry to get to the end...nothing wrong with enjoying the sides....
Well, thanks to wizard, at a very early age, I figured out the one and only addiction that ever got control over me. Gambling. The card packs... oh how many have I bought. Sometimes I still just let it go for a while, I buy 10k crowns and spend it all on packs. A very guilty pleasure... But hey, at least I have control over it.
My first character was Balance, I ended up deleting it in Marleybone because I didnt want to buy back my training points. I spent them all on death spells. I wasnt that far into the game so it was worth it. I also had a good amount of gold so I sold almost everything I had left to have enough to buy the 50k broom mount. Another mistake I made was having large decks when facing mobs, it was insanely annoying fighting so many mobs and it took so long. After seeing other people play, I'm like duh, that's what the aoe spells are for and shortened my deck significantly. Even at max I still dont use tcs except for pierce and of course all Balance characters need Cleanse Charm. There are exceptions where I use more (usually hard bosses since I solo), but I think TCs are more for pvp players.
Daniel Leslie only my mob deck is shortened. My boss deck is huge because I don't want to feel like I'm fighting the same fight every time. I'd get bored if every fight was the same. Things get really interesting when the cards you need don't come up 😅
The first character I really played with was Balance, and I had a crap ton of trouble with balance. I found it super difficult to grind. Still do to be honest.
I like to put healing tc's in since you don't usually need them thanks to healing pets and if you know what you're doing you can kill it before it kills you but you kind of need emergency heals now and then when something gets you with a large hit and your pet plays dead so I pack healing tc's instead of clogging up my deck with an emergency heal or two.
I played when i was like 5 and my parents literally got me the membership but forgot the account because i stopped playing after a few damn minutes now im just here xD
It's getting new graphics. IMO, only play it if you have friends. It's ridiculously boring alone, but when someone fizzles in a group of friends, it can be the funniest thing in the world.
I Am Too Lazy To Come Up With A Name I play alone all the time, but one annoying thing is trying to get people to help you in a battle. Whether that be trying to get people to team up with you to help or heal you if your health is very low.
On my main character I would glitch into high level dungeons with my max friends and within a week or two that got me to level 50 doing all the dungeons we could get into, it caught up and bit me in the ass because I never actually learned through leveling how to play balance and I struggled all the way through Dragonspyre and Celestia.
Once upon a time I picked up nearly every sidequest I could, even if I wouldn't do half of them. Now years later, I tried to "clean up" and get some of those quests done.. now i'm only down to 10 pages.. yay..
List of things I regret doing in wiz now. 1. Doing one shot duels. 2. Farming housing dungeons for xp. 3. Waste training points for life and death shield just for rattlebones duels. (but I am gonna train up to feint) 4. Waste crowns for 1 energy elixir. (Still regret that to this day) 5. Using crowns for Wysteria. (I couldn't payback training points from Mr. Lincoln until I started Wysteria)
Tanner Firehammer I did number two and got lol thirty after farming the haunted cave for six levels (12-18) and it isn't that bad, I got.... *SOME* sort of loot I kinda remember and I'm ten levels the expected amount (ex: dragonspyre was level 50 instead of forty) so I get an extra spell to boost me (if you fire in celestial you are expected to have dragon as max but I got rain of fire which also contributes to hrundle fjord but that still means I get effete while the expected lvl 50s have dragon)
Wasting training points is my greatest regret. I still play as my first character and I bought like 5 of the level one spells because I wanted to have a bonus vs everyone.
My first mistake was soloing up to Khrysalis with my one and only Fire. Part 1 had just been released a few days after I got the Divine Amulet from Hades, I had been farming for weeks. I was going through alone on Bartleby's server. I must've been in area 3 or something. My second mistake was not writing my password down several years later as I am now back at the beginning with a level 27 Fire. :I
I'm a life wizard and I think having a secondary school is very useful, life has very low damage and it helps you with questing. Maybe I'll buy them back someday, but I'm fine with my storm spells
See, I made the mistake of skipping all, if not most of, the side quests and got my OG character constantly at the lowest level I could possibly be for every new world I got to and couldn't even fight roaming enemies by myself without dying, I'm was, and still am, too weak. There was even one point where I wasn't even high enough level to progress in the main story so I had to farm Field Guards and other enemies in Triton Avenue (since it was my favorite Wizard City location) until I leveled up. It took me a looong time. I think my issue was I felt pressured by the time frame I had before my membership expired so I rushed through everything. Now I know to buy realms, which is much more cost effective. Currently in the process of using the ads and trivia games to get zones for free (since I've spent too much money on the game already).
Did the same lol i got a lvl 79 or 80(haven’t played in a few years) that i solo everything. Would spend all my crowns on life minions to keep me alive😂
My mistakes 1. Not doing a single side quests 2. I didn't Know how to discard 3. I bought every polymorph 4. I didn't use healing spells 5. I kept attacking without shields or traps 6.i bought that balance blade spell that gives you 3 of then 7.i bought equipment with the highest health instead of the best buffs for my character 8. Investing in death school 9. Spending so much money on furnishing an amazing dragonspire and wysteria house, 10. No bothering with planting 11. Jumping into my friends dungeons so much that they didn't give me xp anymore and when it was my guests I still didn't get anything 12.i am a myth school character through and through, but I never used my minions 13. My deck was just a massive build up for one move and if I messed up I had no way of recovery But don't worry I'm better now
I do every side quest on every character, and try to keep my quest pages as clean as possible. My main is like level 80 and not even halfway through Avalon lol
Death is the best secondary school, I have never regretted having it as a second school. I still use my death mastery necklace to this day. one of the best purchases I ever made. The rest of your mistakes are just funny...
Ahhh the good days... when I was a balance god when I was 7 years old... good times, then I couldn't pay for the membership and I couldn't play anymore ;-; I'm sad
one of my biggest mistakes was not remembering that I could team up with other people to beat a dungeon so I would waste so much gold buying treasure cards I never needed to beat these bosses, when I could have just done it with other people...
I’m lvl 65 and I literally found out just now that you can buy mounts with gold at the crown shop. I thought you could only get the permanent ones with crowns. Thank you so much.
They must have changed that, at some point. I checked the crown shop many times, in the past, and never saw mounts for gold. Houses, yes, but not mounts.
My ultimate mistake is when I went for 2 attack schools. And not went for the healing spells. And I also made the mistake of attempting a defense class for my fire. Never worked. And I also never trained on one pet. I used all my snacks on random pets. I haven't played the game in at least 2 years. And still have my level 90 fire. I have since changed my stats to farm for gear and now have 50 universal resist. 93 fire damage. And 200+ critical. Also my final mistake was buying the sets from the crown shop. Now I farm for MOST of my gear. I might get back into the game soon. And hope I'm not to far behind now.
you can definitely jump back in. for a lvl 90, 93 dmg 50 resist AND 200 crit is really good stats. most 90s are rocking 70-80 dmg 20-25 resist and 400 crit. your stats are much better because (in my opinion) damage is better then crit. if you KNOW that 2 blades and a meteor will kill the monsters in Avalon, why would you do one blade and hope you crit?
Connor Bachen yeah. Generally I will dubble blade, and use that astral fire spell that gives you plus 25 attack. I just recently got on wizards 101 to farm for the reindeer knight in dragonspyre.
Here's my list of mistakes (out of order and potentially more mistakes not written down) from 2009-present: 1. Stupid username for my account and ridiculous name for my wizard. 2. I was blind and trained Galvanic Field instead of Sleet Storm... wasted another training point. 3. Main school is Ice. Trained a secondary school: Fire. When I got to the Arcanum, I even trained for Fire Dragon simply because I was like: "I'm already stuck with Fire, might as well complete the whole secondary school." Right after that, the game announced a free training point reset for members (hooray!) which led to me deciding to start over with my training points :D 4. I knew how to discard, but I didn't discard for some reason. When I only had useless spells, I didn't discard. I simply accepted my fate and passed. Could have ended many battles quicker... 5. When mounts first came out, I bought a 7-day mount instead of a permanent one. I know. Stupidity at its best. 6. My noob outfit looks ridiculous because of the mismatching colors. 7. A mistake I still do today: Filling up the whole entire deck with spells, making the battle last even longer.
My biggest mistake: I somewhat have OCD and my username is Andrew SpriteCaster. That being said, I feel like i have to keep my sprite minion in my deck so my wizard can live up to it's name...
Gonna leave a tip for early game GOLD FARMING~~ Never buy the gold from the shop, just hit lvl 7 and fish with the frost lure :) and sell your fish for real
My biggest fault was getting married to a guy on wiz because he said he would gift me. And then when he didn’t I stayed with him because we were married.
One of my biggest mistakes was not crafting gear. On my first ever account, my level 90 fire had all waterworks gear and bazaar items. I was too lazy and just didn’t care enough to craft but crafted gear is definitely helpful until you can get malistaire gear or whatever you want.
Biggest Mistake I ever made? Hmm... Let me see... Not doing trivias years ago? And most likely now failing to save Azteca, But that's main story line stuff, Biggest Mistake I actually made is not training my pet when I needed to. XD Edit: Suprise suprise, Side quests can actually level me up. XD Plus, The feeling of accomplishment is gud.
My first main character was a Myth wizard with secondary Ice spells. Let’s just say “Yikes” was an understatement, especially considering I never used buffs.
Omg😭 I remember this game!!! I got on level 26 and deleted the game for 4 years, came back and it stopped working, only reason I quit is because once you reach a certain level it gets boring because there’s no more quests you could do if your not a member

I remember buying a year membership and few days later my parent sold our PC man... Rip
big OOF
Damn that's really tough my boy 🤣
I can only imagine your pain
dang
you should have gone to a internet caffee or something
Biggest mistake was hitting random on my character
I got rid of the crystal horse is miss that thing lol
Evolifan I have a girl life character since all my other characters were male I wanted to spice it up a bit
Same
3 mistakes I made
1= I equipped every item I got in the game
2= I accidentally unequipped my wand and I didn’t know why I didn’t get some hits
3= training a whole secondary school
The secondary school thing is one I feel like everyone struggles with in the beginning haha
My mistakes? HAHAHA definitely spending training points unwisely and making my noob clothes non-colour-coordinated
Some mistakes include:
-selling everything I had (including my deck and wand) on a level 2 wizard for a dragon pet.
Blue Sparx i didn't even know about that untill darkmoor came out and I been playing since ds was the only worlds
I packed tc but never discarded until at least a few years after I started because I didn’t know it existed
When the hoard of dragon pack came out, I did the same thing xD
Mistake I made was having to do a whole ass dungeon again just to complete Prospector Zeke’s quests
Papi J I still do that... oops
I'm happy they stopped putting the things at the ends of dungeons. I had to do Nastrond like 9 times.
and with the books too hahah
OMG SAME! the freaking labyrinth in dragonspyre... I did it three maybe four times 🤦🏽♀️ especially because the myth quest to get orthrus is there and you actually have to do half of the dungeon to even get go the tower 🤦🏽♀️😂
That's not a mistake
My main is Life so I felt like I needed a secondary so I trained in Fire.
Mistake? Making every wizard Death because I was emo.
Yoo! I was a Fire that made my secondary Life so I could hold my own on quests!
A big mistake I did was back before the diego tutorials existed. I had no idea why I couldnt cast lightning bats unless I fizzled. (Which was quite often because I was storm). But it confused me so bad why it wouldnt let me use the stronger spell. I only learned what a pip was until I was level like 17
Same
Me a person that has played this for quite a few years I still don't understand pips fully
@@skylergoodman4879 hmm that's sad somehow..
@@ic3wolf988 oh I know how they work know, if you wait for the next turn you earn a pip, or on rare occasions a power pip that is worth two pips to the school you're in. More pips you have the stronger the spells you can cast.

Mistake: Playing late at night and typing abracadabra on my main character
what does that do
I play solo usually, and I always do all the side quests and I really need it. I’m usually five levels above where I need to be and because I don’t have any backup, it’s really important to have.
*me throughout playing on my life wiz* yes i soloed almost the entire game as a life wizard.... still do its fun
Parach Pbama me too i was lvl 60 in the middle of dragon and has full set of water works gear i just mowed through everything
100%
Looked at thumbnail and was like "same".
My mistakes
- Filling up my deck
- being to scared to use my tcs
- picking myth as my first wizard
- getting my account from my cousin
Why is picking myth a mistake? :/
CorruptedFlowerz 24 cause it’s the worst school
Judson Garr what why
Wizard101 gave strengths and weaknesses to each school so there wouldn't be a best or a worst school
CorruptedFlowerz 24 I chose myth as my first and it is for sure the hardest to solo on, where as storm and death I can solo on so easy
Oh, here's my greatest noob mistake: I like doing side quests to be overpowered for main quests and because they're fun but my mistake at first was picking them up and not combining them with the main quests which will often have you killing the same mobs as the side.
Blaze Duskdreamer yes it's always good to pick them up on the way.
Lmao same
I thought u had to do everyone to move on lmao my acc is 11 yrs old and I'm lvl 103
“How would you know you could discard, unless the game tells you?”
As the spell select screen literally shows “ *left click* to select, *right click* to discard”. It did take me a while to notice as well, but that was funny lol.
*picks up every side*
*chick*
*Nice.*
This is what I did back on my ice wizard.
1) Train all the life school spell, but I only needed satyr and that was it.
2) Wasting training points
3) Fill up the whole deck when I got to Krokotopia. I should have put less spells in it so I can attack faster.
Same
You wouldn’t have been able to get Satyr anyway unless you learned all the spells before it too.
I have satyr from an amulet so I stopped training life and went to fire. But I feel really dumb being level 34 and not thinking about leaving my deck with empty spots to fight faster.
Thinking marleybone would be fun..... that was a huge mistake lol
I HATED MARLEYBONE!
who would think fighting 4 rank 6 bosses with over 2 k health fun? especially solo
Dragonspyre is a chore
Agent Wolf PL Big Ben was 2 bosses with 2k and 2.5k and a minion with 1k
🤔 I loved soloing Marleybone as Life.
One thing for me was that I always filled my decks all of the way up. It makes battles take way longer because you have to find the spells that you want. Now I only have less than 10 cards for my monster deck, and less than 35 for my boss deck.
ZackTheMuffinMan wait...dang. Why didnt i do that?!
I tried going lean and mean once or twice. The first time I ran out of cards, I went back to using a full deck. You can just discard the ones you don't want.
see, I didn't know about this until I was level 56 😭😂 I kept filling them all the way up thinking: but what if I need them 🤦🏽♀️😂
I always do a small deck and put 1 reshuffle in just in case I run out
My mistake:
Forgetting all my accounts so I had to make a new one every time I came to play it a couple of years later
Clash of Bases I’ve had 4-6 different accounts in the past decade
I’ve been playing for 6 years and still haven’t got max level because I delete my characters when I make mistakes
Jonathan Sengstock oof indeed
What sort of mistakes
I've deleted a couple of wizards, but I try to learn from my mistakes by keeping them and improving them later on.
OH MY WORD! dude when i started a few years back i didn't know you could discard or draw a tc, and i trained all the trainable spells for storm, on my FIRE wizard. but as i got into pvp i actually started learning the stuff.
You can do it now right?
remember when all the broke wizards when w101 was at its peak, and they would crowd up the kraken area? good memories lol
mistaken 😂
That's actually not a mistake, IMO. I always go for HP's on gear. Damage and resistance only work for one school, but HP's are good for everything.
Jeff Green well, it could be in the middle. i say u should have damage and resistance in ur gear but for me, i go for hp mainly also
My noob mistake is having just completed all the main quests before celestia existed and deleted my character and started over with a new one
Kaotick you should have email kingsisle and they can recover your character for you that what I did
I almost did the exact same thing
My biggest mistake was when I tried to solo housing dungeons at like level 9. I also never trained pets, and speaking of which, didn't even know how to equip pets, i thought you were supposed to go in your house and stand next to your pet and it would become yours...
I also remember when a lot of people would make Blaze Lifehammers masquerading as you lol
Really omg
People still do xD
@@maple9300 right XD

Yeah, the bazaar should be part of the tutorial. It's a critical part of the game.
@Amanpreet Hayre Didn't you guys notice hundreds of wizards going into that building and get curious and check it out? lol I think that's how I found it.
My biggest mistake was thinking blades were useless up until dragonspyre...
all those battles i could've won sooner...
When I first played when I was little was I didnt know what prisms were for and I somehow got through the pyramid of fire as a fire wizard without prisms, I also fully trained balance as a secondary.
Audrie Ruark your fire wiz must be good then, that would be hard
Xx-gemini-xX 123 lol i was such a noob I would just wait for someone to show up at the sigil for bosses or I would friend people in the commons and ask them to help :-p
Xx-gemini-xX 123 I trained up to tower shield but now I don't think I need it cause I have ton of resist and fairy.
I went for probably 20+ levels not knowing what the Prism did, because as soon as I got it I tried to test it on a Lost Soul (which has no boosts or resistance), and thought the Prism just didn't do anything at all. Decided it was useless until someone showed me what it was.
Jeez Krok must have been rough with a fire/balance
And here I am, having done every Side Quest in the game! :p
NerdEnthusiast true player
Nice vid Nate! I really enjoyed watching this one! Brought me back to my noob days 8 years ago!!
Oh my god I never knew you could buy permenant mounts for gold
Where?
@@jeffgreen3376 Crown shop, there's a gold option. It's about 50k
Wizard: *rides a magic broom which is meant for witches*

George w Bush LOLLLL THIS COMMENT IS UNDERRATED
Jamie Ambrose I keep blades or feints in my tc deck. At lower levels always monstrous or enchanted hits
Only time secondary school is necessary is to get feint from death at lvl 26
really funny how relatable this...started playing in 2010 when i was 10
Yea I started playing in 2010 when I was like 7 and I dont really play it now since im 'Too Old' but I enjoy watching Blaze a lot.

Does this mean Wizard is worth coming back to in 2018
Bilal karim yes I definitely recommend
It's getting new graphics.
IMO, only play it if you have friends. It's ridiculously boring alone, but when someone fizzles in a group of friends, it can be the funniest thing in the world.
I Am Too Lazy To Come Up With A Name
I play alone all the time, but one annoying thing is trying to get people to help you in a battle. Whether that be trying to get people to team up with you to help or heal you if your health is very low.
I feel like the game was always worth playing, but opinion is just opinion
Yes
When I was little, I trashed my deck and thought I lost all my spells and had to start the game over again
I remember me and my friend thinking our unicorn pet would turn into a mount if we leveled it up to adult so we spent all of our time in Pet Pavillion
wholesome
Me toooooo
My tip would be stay far away from the crownshop unless you can buy it with gold :)
On my main character I would glitch into high level dungeons with my max friends and within a week or two that got me to level 50 doing all the dungeons we could get into, it caught up and bit me in the ass because I never actually learned through leveling how to play balance and I struggled all the way through Dragonspyre and Celestia.
XDD
Mistake I made: not realizing my old wizard101 days were going to be the good old days sooner than I thought
Once upon a time I picked up nearly every sidequest I could, even if I wouldn't do half of them. Now years later, I tried to "clean up" and get some of those quests done.. now i'm only down to 10 pages.. yay..
I used to run around with no mount for the longest time on my main wizard. my first ever mount was when my friend gifted me a panther in celestia.
List of things I regret doing in wiz now.
1. Doing one shot duels.
2. Farming housing dungeons for xp.
3. Waste training points for life and death shield just for rattlebones duels. (but I am gonna train up to feint)
4. Waste crowns for 1 energy elixir. (Still regret that to this day)
The whole tab for gold is kind of useless these days, especially in Pirate where I'm always close to max every time I do Kane or Moo Manchu.
It's too bad that kingsisle selfishly made moo manchu a premium area now
Awesome video Nate! Loving the blue hair 👌🏻
All the same things I thought as a kid stumbled on this video glad your still making videos my friend:)!

Lmao 😂 nice
i'm sure the tutorial tells you.
I love your gumption 🤣🤣🤣
My First playthrough I was a storm wizard who
Was afraid of combat. I didn't do the unicorn way quests, because I was afraid of combat :')

10. No bothering with planting
11. Jumping into my friends dungeons so much that they didn't give me xp anymore and when it was my guests I still didn't get anything

The biggest mistake I made when I first started playing wiz was playing wiz in the first place place.
Kolten Keller well. Max level is 125...
Fuzzy 217 I'm only level 89 or 90...
you can definitely jump back in. for a lvl 90, 93 dmg 50 resist AND 200 crit is really good stats. most 90s are rocking 70-80 dmg 20-25 resist and 400 crit. your stats are much better because (in my opinion) damage is better then crit. if you KNOW that 2 blades and a meteor will kill the monsters in Avalon, why would you do one blade and hope you crit?
Connor Bachen yeah. Generally I will dubble blade, and use that astral fire spell that gives you plus 25 attack. I just recently got on wizards 101 to farm for the reindeer knight in dragonspyre.
Connor Bachen but my concern is crit Block. That is at like 70ish
Here's my list of mistakes (out of order and potentially more mistakes not written down) from 2009-present:
1. Stupid username for my account and ridiculous name for my wizard.
2. I was blind and trained Galvanic Field instead of Sleet Storm... wasted another training point.
3. Main school is Ice. Trained a secondary school: Fire. When I got to the Arcanum, I even trained for Fire Dragon simply because I was like: "I'm already stuck with Fire, might as well complete the whole secondary school." Right after that, the game announced a free training point reset for members (hooray!) which led to me deciding to start over with my training points :D
XD
Gonna leave a tip for early game GOLD FARMING~~ Never buy the gold from the shop, just hit lvl 7 and fish with the frost lure :) and sell your fish for real
My biggest fault was getting married to a guy on wiz because he said he would gift me. And then when he didn’t I stayed with him because we were married.
😂😂😂 Classic
Biggest noob mistake I made? Going full Life secondary on my Balance mage. Definitely fixing that eventually.
Using that one wand that gives every 1 pip spell.
Dumb young me thought that 1 pip spells were better than 0 pip spells.
XD
Edit: Suprise suprise, Side quests can actually level me up. XD Plus, The feeling of accomplishment is gud.
My first main character was a Myth wizard with secondary Ice spells. Let’s just say “Yikes” was an understatement, especially considering I never used buffs.
I literally learned how to discard yesterday I use a laptop so I never right clicked 😂
If u click with both fingers on the trackpad, u can right click on a laptop.
Omg😭 I remember this game!!! I got on level 26 and deleted the game for 4 years, came back and it stopped working, only reason I quit is because once you reach a certain level it gets boring because there’s no more quests you could do if your not a member
