Feminism is where female empowerment is rooted. Maybe there is a different use of this words in english, but in my language female empowerment is always some kind of feminist (though feminism can center around different things than just female empowerment, because it's about equality for all genders. so if a guy wants to wear the color red or pink (embarassing colors to wear, because they are considered female-ish, so weak) it's not female empowerment, but can certainly be feminist.).
Although I detested Hope's exaggerated role, I reiterated her presence in the video because it was incredible. But to be perfect, in my opinion and no one is forced to agree, it was if in Hope's place, it was Josie.

The cheerleaders outside the jail in riverdale really doesn’t work for this song because those girls were basically being toys for the inmates. The riverdale girls in general are all pretty pathetic when it comes to boys.
