The memory chips being spaced is normal for every PC since the dawn of time. I have never known a PC with 4 slots use 2 slots side by side for a 2 chip configuration, back in the day everyone, including Dell used to colour slots 1 and 3 one colour, and then 2 and 4 another. I have no idea why they stopped doing it, because now it just causes confusion.
So, I watch thr entire video and curious if you'd recommend the 8950 for a none gamer? I'm building a 8950 without liquid cool, I7 12700k, gtx 3060ti with 750w power supply 1tb ssd 1tb hdd..I need a good pc I wouldn't have much issues with an Simi future proof. Mostly trading and some editing.
Dell XPS 8950 is an excellent computer. I gave mine to my son, he is a college student studying computer programming and games on the weekends. It crushed every thing he needs it to do, and next month will be a year of ownership for me, and I have had no issues at all with the Dell XPS 8950
Hola yo tengo el alienware aurora r13 con tarjeta nvidia 3060, quería saber si puedo meterle una 3090? Me valdría cualquier 3090? O tendría que ser especial de Dell? Gracias
How were you able to get the lunar light clear panel? It's been sold out on the dell website for 3 weeks; i've been trying to get it with the lunar light clear panel with no luck.
I will do a deeper dive in another video, but I already had the 8950, so I will ended up returning the R13. However, for awhile they quit offering the 3090 in the 8950, so the Alienware would be your only option. And of course personal preference of the looks can come into play.
If those were my prices, to be fair, I ordered the XPS 8950 the first day it was available. And the Alienware R13 had been out for close to six months when I ordered it
Is that a regular size RTX 3090? I have a 3060 ti and want to upgrade to a RTX 4070 in the future but I'm concerned that the width of it might be too much to fit in the case as there doesn't seem to be much space between the GPU and PSU
@Molly Muncher I canceled my order and went with the Alienware R15 with the 13 gen i9 13900kF cpu, RTX 3090 24 Gb, 64gb ddr5 4800,cryo tech liquid cool, huge fans, all in a new designed case. Always had and loved Alienware plus Dells fantastic tech support with on-site parts repair. Thanks for your reply, lol.
Dell these days is quite unlike the Dell in the yesteryears. They have come up with a system called Support Assist that is a disguised planned obsolescence system. Think of it as a Trojan horse. It is introduced to keep your systems updated and working till the warranty period, and swiftly after the warranty expiry keeps introducing updates that lead to one or the other software malfunction. The warranty then offered for a year or two is close to the price of a new laptop; just slightly lesser perhaps. So, my two cents is to ignore the fancy lighting, packaging and other fancy stuff and go for a brand that provides you the not so fancy but a reliable and lasting product. I bought an Aurora last year and it is close to garbage. All the best folks!!
Hey I just watched this exact video on Amazon's site, and it was very helpful. Thank you for posting it up there!
I just got my entire set up in 2 weeks delivered. It was advertised to be 5 weeks.
I subscribed as soon as you started the peel party! Haha good review!

i think the Dell cards are shorter, but you might have other problems as well. do you have the 750 or 1000 watt power supply?
@@5after12 de 750w, creo que la 3090ti no me valdría por mi fuente de alimentación, pero una 3090 normal si, verdad?
Curious how long between the date you place the order and getting it at your door ?
looks like i placed the order on April 8th 2022, then it was delivered on May 28th 2022
Does anyone know if you can put a 3090 Ti founders edition in a Alienware Aurora R13 a reply is much appreciated

I ordered it awhile back. I probably recorded most of that in June
i ordered mine end of august and got lunar light clear panel
so which PC is better? would you get the R13 over the XPS 8950?

Dell makes their own 3090, Gamers Nexus actually said it was pretty good, but I do think it is shorter than other ones

Oddly enough, the fancy lighting is what drove me away from the Aurora. AlienFX does not work as good as Razer Chroma so I have switched ecosystems
