I live at Chesterfield and it takes 1hr and 15mins to get there at immingham wall. Nice place and gets really busy November and December. Weekends packed to hilt with anglers . Whiting up to 2lb mark possible.
I had a 2 1/2 lb codling (returned) last week in bay 27 loads of whiting all under size... on fresh lugworm tipped with squid, on a pulley pennel 3/0 2/0. One tip fishing these bays is don't stop reeling when you get close in, you will get snagged.
It's good to arrive early for a bay at weekends ( say 6hrs before high water). 7 mtr tides turn right at entrance to bays 19 18 then a straight bit before next bays usually can accommodate about 3 anglers . There are a couple of bays past star aight bit , avoid last one as it takes a age for water to arrive . Go round a long corner or to which takes you to shallows . All locals head for this stretch I reckon . Anything around 5.7and below is good for woods which is left at the entrance past the jetty where fishing is over wall on a concrete deck. This is just my personal opinion not everyone's .
Hi Conrad, it's been a while since I've had the chance to get up there. If you look at Google Earth you'll see a lane that turns behind a power plant. Follow that up to the wall and then you take your pick left or right depending on the tide you're fishing. Chas :0)
I was going to add that you should watch Billies videos to see how to un hook a flounder but yoiu already had, that man has real respect for our little sea dwealing friends ...... Nice video mate and tight lines
Nice mix of fish in that one, and that cyclops whiting was a beauty, nice video.
+Shane Wickham Cheers Shane, glad you enjoyed it. Regards Chas
Good video, nice to see Fisho's unhooking method used to help return fish safely. Hope to see you on the wall in the future, tight lines....
I'll be up there on Saturday. A couple of sessions being edited now, watch this space! Chas :0)
