  • Last summer Pace began accepting an order of 100 brand new El Dorado (ENC) 30ft Axess BRT buses to replace the older 30ft EZ-Rider II MAX 2600-series buses built by the same company in 2006. These new 20300-series buses started service out of the Fox Valley Pace garage.
Here's a look at both series of buses running throughout the midday at Yorktown Mall and the Naperville Metra station.

Amazing job, Chicagoland Transit! Shoutout to Pace for order the 2021 ENC BRTs! (Note, they have the same powertrain as the XCELSIOR Diesels: Cummins L9/Allison B3400xFE).

Interesting video. "Short" buses are common over here in the UK but "short" buses on US city streets look a little out of place, at least to my eyes.

This video was taken out in the far suburbs at bus terminals.

@@ChicagolandTransit Thanks. Here in London short single deckers operate mainly outer suburban routes on which demand is relatively low. But they also operate some more central routes where restrictive road layouts and tight clearances preclude the use of longer vehicles.
