Just for your information, kids kneeling to pay gratitude to elders who helped them or elders, in general, is a cultural thing and it is not that they think you are looking down on them or disrespecting them. Just like in the Westen family we tell kids to say "please" and "thank you". My parents moved to Canada when I was a child from Sri Lanka. I came from an upper-middle-class family so I never experienced poverty. I never lived in a house like the one you guys showed here. But I always knew there are so many nice people that need a little help. You guys are doing a great job. I am hoping to travel to Sri Lanka later this year and this video gave me some good ideas to help people in need. I am also looking to help Sri Lankan poor families in those areas and my research found that about $15,000 Canadian dollars can build a good house for most of the poor families. Even for Canadians that is a bit too steep of a price. However, that is one thing I am thinking of doing in Sri Lanka. Find a random poor family in need of a house in Sri Lanka and just build it with my own money. I wish you guys all the best and good luck on your journey.

There are cultures where kissing or hugging is not part of their culture (I think Sri Lanka is one of them, specially between men and women). You can not force them to do other way.
