Hi, in my MS Word 2013, via menu Insert > Symbol > More Symbol navigation, using "Wingding" font, you can find a ready-made "tick inside a box" symbol. So there is no need to do the "tick" symbol and paste over a textbox. I think most of the time people request for such technique is when converting a PDF file to MS Word and suddenly find these image "tick boxes" and wonder how to put a tick on a image. So it is best to delete those image tick boxes and insert a Wingding "tick in box" symbol. Cheers!
I simply want to have a checkbox in front of a list item, put my cursor on it, and click so a tick appears. Your method will put a tick in a box, but in when shopping for groceries, you want to simply mark an item with a tick, not navigate through 1007 menus to finally put one in.
