Fabulous recipe, I am trying it today and enjoyed your explanation and all the steps you did, but please use wooden spoons because my teeth kept cringing with the metal to metal scrapes
That looks great. I like cream of asparagus but have only had it from a can. I am trying this tomorrow but will have to use green asparagus. I would probably leave out the egg yolk for color? Since it will be green. Thank you for this.
I have my parents coming to say and they love soup at lunchtime. This is definitely one for them. Thank you Barbara 😊 Edit: white asparagus is readily available where I live on the south coast of England.
Some groceries have it in spring time. If you can’t get the fresh one, buy a jar of white asparagus and use the water for the soup instead of broth. That will work, too, though it’s better to have fresh asparagus.
