I love Reese in Cruel Intentions where this drama is loosely based on. But I can't put a finger on why I hated Taehee. Must be because I saw how this could've been a great drama (iconic even - with all the next big drama stars they could've produced) had the writer not insist on adding Taehee. The biggest problem IMO is because the writer (or maybe korean dramas in general) can't go as hardcore. In CR, Gellar portrayed a manipulating, self centered, drug addict bitch to balance the pureness in Witherspoon's character and as means of escape to Philippe's messy life. Tempted introducing Taehee is unecessary because Soo Ji is not as evil to begin with. And contrary to public belief, Shi Hyun is not as hopeless. In short, the drama will go on without adding her as an element.

Sooji’s reaction is understandable. He always flirt with other girl and never actually look serious toward Sooji in the early story (cuz he hide it). Meanwhile the male lead (i forgot his name, lol) actually showed her how he feels for her and even ask her to date him. That’s why she “likes” the mc cuz she thought he will never fall for other girl. And all the “heart broken” thing she felt was only because it feel as if she lost the person who she thought was hers. I can sometimes see the way she look at sejoo everytime he did something for her but it seems like she try to deny it cuz sejoo seems to always play around and not been serious or maybe because the thought of losing her other friend breaks her heart and that’s why she only look past through all the things sejoo do for her.

Their friendship is very, very TOXIC. They did pranks or revenge on people who hurt them, they were broken kids for goodness sake. If it weren't for Tae Hee, Si Hyun would be an endless confused and frustrated jerk, Soo Ji would be an endless self-centered girl who's just "in denial", and Seo Joo would be an endless womanizer who continues to hurt because the woman he actually loves is obsessed with their so-called friendship, all the while secretly obsessed with Si Hyun. -_- I don't understand how this message failed to reach many people, who keeps saying Tae Hee is unnecessary. She's an innocent person and for me, the only tolerable character within the four of them. If her character wasn't there, I probably couldn't even finish more than 5 episodes because of TOO MUCH toxicity. -_-
