I agree the last clip was a dive bomb, but when you broke that early. in iracing the 2 or just after a couple feet past the 2 board is typically where most fast ppl brake. So It could have been a situation where he was caught off guard and didn't expect to close the distance like that. Braking way early causes lots of wrecks in iracing because ppl don't know how to react in that situation and panic. Tbf, I thought he did a good job if that was the case with him.

Came here to say this. Threshold braking without extra speed from draft you can go as late as midway between the 1 and 2

@@MichaelOswalt For sure the lead car did brake early, but the trailing car also did brake too late especially with the extra speed from the draft. Part of race craft is understanding someone may be braking early to run a defensive line (just as someone may be braking late to attempt that dive bomb). That guy had no hope of making that turn even without the lead car braking a little early.

Clip from jersey is just good clean racing. Driver in the white and orange car should have been expecting a move there anyways. Classic passing spot on that track

Per the rules, that's a late move. It being expected, common, or not, doesn't change what the CCR says about it.

Did the driver in the orange/white have to change their line to accommodate you going for the apex there? Granted there was no pass and you ended up back behind them, so no real advantage gained.

Absolutely. They had to be a car width off the Apex to avoid contact. I did nothing illegal, but they had the right to turn in to that Apex and I would have been at fault if we hit.
