    I work night shift and I can't wait to start this tonight, thank you for this video! I enjoy how you don't rush the video where as others I have to pause every other second 🤦

    Oh my gosh! You are amazing with your talented hands. I have been crocheting 🧶 many years, and have never endeavored to try something like this. I love to watch and listen though. I was going to say it’s calming but it’s really not. I get kinda worked up like “Yeah’ “yeah’ ‘I bet I could do that”. ‘That doesn’t look too hard”. Then once I have the hook in my hands, the defeat becomes real. Lol. Seriously though. I love it and will give it a shot sometime. Thanks for these great videos.

      @@ModeBespoke I got the yarn today. It is so affordable and soft! I got the color you have in the tutorial and a purple, I'm going to do one in each color and I'm going to try it in red heart its a wrap to see how that looks too since its a fingering weight as well. I'm so excited, it is such a lovely well thought out pattern!

      Thank you! I'm sorry, i just saw your reply! Isn't it great yarn? I bought it a few years ago when it was on sale and have used it time and again since! Let me know how it works out, and how you liked the Red Heart fingering yarn I haven't tried that yarn yet.

    Hi! Such a lovely scarf. I have a question, is there a reason you work w 2 pieces of yarn rather than a thicker yarn? I’d love to try making it.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I just really like that particular yarn is all. You can use a heavier yarn if you prefer. 😊

  • @rel546
    @rel546 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi I know you made this video a long time ago. But why did you use 2 threes? Could you use a thicker yarn and do the same pattern to get the same effect?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! That’s a great question, and yes, you can. I used 2 threads of fingering yarn, so it’s about as thick as a sport yarn. (I know most sites say 2 ones is a 3, but this yarn is really fine).

    hi there was wondering why my hook has a g on it and the number is 4.00mm. I chained 47 and my chain is 11 inch long not 7 what you say is different then the results trying to follow thank you.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be a tension difference between our stitches. I probably pull my stitches a little tighter than you do, is all. You can drop your hook size snd see if that helps.

  • @skystains4730
    @skystains4730 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if I do this with a worsted weight yarn, it's comically wide. If I were to chop off the last cable, would it look like Celtic (12 stitches), 2 stitches in between, cable (6), 2 stitches in between, and then another Celtic (12). But that's only 34 stitches even though we'd only supposedly be losing 8 stitches. Halp.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤔 I’d go with ch 37 for a stitch breakdown of: 2 end posts, 12 Celtic, 2 posts, 6 cable, 2 posts, 12 Celtic, then 1 post, plus 2. Start working on the 3rd stitch from the hook and use that ch 2 (the 2 skipped ones at the beginning of the row) as the last post to have an even 2 posts on either end. Does that make sense?
      I just chained the 37 to see how that could look, and it is still wide with the worsted, but I’m not sure how wide you’re hoping to make this scarf? If that’s still too wide, we could always remove stitches from the Celtic.
      Give it a shot with the 37, and let me know what you think? If it’s too wide, I can make some time to rework the Celtic section tomorrow and let you know what I came up with?

    What's the difference if I dont double up the yarn? I was wondering because I dont have much yarn :)

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doubling up creates a thicker yarn, about the size between a Sport and a DK (#2 -3). So, you could use a thicker yarn, or use a much smaller hook if you choose to work with the thinner yarn. Know that the scarf would be quite thin, and you will require more stitching to complete, but it can be done.

    I love this pattern, but I would like to make it not as wide, what are the multiples?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hilda De La Paz ree, thank you!
      Here are a few things you can try:
      You could half it by making an initial chain of 25. That’d leave you with: two of the edge posts (so both sides end in two front post double crochets, not three on one side and one on the other. It’d make both your edges bordered evenly, like the cables.) a Celtic Weave, two dividing posts, a cable, and two posts at the end.
      You could also shorten the Celtic weave and cable. The Celtic weave is 12 stitches, you could make it 10 or 8 instead (multiples of two). The cable is six stitches (three for each side), you could also make it smaller and make it four stitches (two on each side).
      Does this help?

    What are the multiples

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Celtic weave is 12 stitches. The cable is six stitches (three for each side). Then there are two posts between the Celtic weave and the cable on either side. So 24 +1 for 1 Celtic weave, one cable, and two posts on either side.

    1. You go entirely too fast and I'm an advanced crocheter.
    2. You can't just skip over the last section of each row so you can get to the next row as quickly as you can.
    * If you would like more subscribers slow down tour videos and follow through each row.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All excellent suggestions, thank you! I will keep them in mind. 😊

    • @ROMEKBNY
      @ROMEKBNY 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish more videos were faster. I am hardly advanced and didn’t think it was too fast. That’s what the pause button and written pattern are for. Yes could have walked through the complete rows to be clearer, but it is a repeating symmetrical pattern.

    The part with the back side of your Celtic weave you had cut out and came back then didn’t do it the second time. Something there was missed. Then you were so low on the screen I could not follow. I watch with the subtitles.
