Haha. Good spotting. I have actually made that video... but some last touches to do as I got distracted with the PL7 launch. Let's call it, "coming soon" thanks for watching.
Hi Don, thanks for your video. It's good to see that there are a few of us who use PhotoLab. Just a question; do you leave your colour rendering on "generic"? I notice several options when you drop down the "category" options. I'm actually using the "DCP Profile" option; I've imported profiles from Adobe Camera Raw. I find there are more choices when it comes to colour profiles; I'm wondering if it's better to leave on "Generic" or the "Body" options? Thanks from across the Ditch in Brissy!
Thanks for watching. I used to use more profiles and I too in the past (to my memory) have imported some from Lightroom too. I used to find the render several versions ago a little magenta heavy (I now think that was a software issue that has since been fixed). Anyway, I attempted to power through by looking for different profiles. I have film Pack installed too so I actually have a heap of options installed... including some nice Fuji Simulations but I have been enjoying the colours in the Z6 profile recently so I haven't been touching this much. I have a colour checker passport so I have even used that to create my own DCP profiles... check the channel for a video I did on that a while back if you are keen. Cheers!
Nice job. I even discovered a new option - the "metering" setting on the exposure adjustment. I've never seen that before, and I've been using DxO since the old OpticsPro(?) name v9 I think it was. And I love Nik too. Good to see how somebody else approaches things.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! I have a question. I have already learned from one of your videos how to set up the "General preferences" to "5-No corrections" on both RAW and JPG files. However, when I double click an image on the library and it opens up on Customize tab as soon as the image is open about half second away the color gets to be more saturated. I don't want anything correction automatically done on my images. How can I make this software stop to increase saturation automatically? I go to presets and I just don't like any of the options in there. Is it possible to have the image open plain just the way it comes out of the camera? I just start to think it is not possible and I purchased the wrong software. Very annoying.
I love this video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, and thank you for taking the time to do Photolab video...🌺🌻🌼🌷🪻🌺
You are so welcome!
Great Video. But what is your "second RAW editor"? 😁

It is so easy to use the same things again and again, isn't it? I am sure there are bits I don't realise are there too... Thanks for watching.
