I think not ...I think it is 95% ego "look at ME I have AKRO I am so SO smart and special" or whatever Meanwhile some crazy old dude on a heavy touring bike blows your doors off in the twisties

Apparently the standard version feels better on the road for the average rider than the more stiffer feeling S model. The quickshifter is a must have item 👍🏼👍🏼

ducati is a slow bike. 950cc supersport supposed to be a literbike category around 200ps. and the price of this are far more expensive than japanese liter bike that have 200+ps.

Here's one . I've done approx 19000 miles on mine . ( 2017 model) Apart from oil and filters and tyres . It's had 1 chain . 1 battery ( in 7 years !) Always on an optimate. Been to Germany / Switzerland / Belgium/ Holland on it from UK . Never missed a beat . Its got a fitting for Sat nav under front of tank . USB under seat . Connection for charger under seat . Handles well and goes well . Forget the BHP . It's got a great power to weight ratio . You don't need brute power ..The screen also rises for motorway use . It also has 4 hoops underneath seat which you can expose and attach luggage to. As for price , well that's down to perception.Mine cost £12000 7 years ago , they are about 14000k now.($17000) Don't confuse them with V4s and Panigales which are very much more expensive . Negatives ....tank range not brilliant ..Seat not too comfy ...probably does suit a person of wide girth and tall height. All in all , an excellent thing . I won't be parting with it in a hurry

I have this bike, and without the baffles, full system it sounds sweet. Who cares if you are only making around 110hp, its all usuable on the street. upload a vid with out baffles with the mic a tad closer than on this one.

Maybe the best thing about this weight savings? Maybe less heat pouring out? I mean the bike is pretty much a hog considering it is a high end Italian Sport Bike I would think more in the sub 420llb range all gassed up but no and the worst thing about all this ia the bike is still a dog compared to what else is avaiable. Yes a comfy dog and that is what it has going for it more than anything I suppose...arguably more economical bit seriously? If springing for Italian Job who is scrimping anyway?

Wow that sucks just 3hp. That is the last Straw that broke the camel's back. No joke i was going to Sign the paperwork today at the dealer for my 2019 ducati supersport and buy the Exhaust kit and have it installed at the dealer for 17k but now, Got back my deposit and just got my 100% new old stock 2018 Hayabusa for 12k out the door price. I love the ducati look and Race reputation but just to Many Headaches with Ducati. On the street, very bad reviews and stories of reliability problems on TH-cam, just not worth the Stress and price and lack of performance with ducati I see ducati owner always have to Wait for parts and service and warranty issues. Japanese bike have none of that! Sorry guys. I Rather be riding then waiting on the side of the road LOL. MAYBE THE ITALIAN WILL GET THERE S*#T TOGETHER IN ANOTHER LIFE TIME. LIKED THE JAPANESE

After second gear the bike is slow. I love the bike but it needs the v2 engine
