I've just pushed an update now that fixes the issue you had leaving the shooting range via the menu. Will go through the video again later today and make a full list of other things to fix for the Monday update. Regarding chapter 2, you can finish the game story campaign by following the "?" waypoint when using your radio. I won't say what happens next for fear of spoilers though.

Alright, I did a thorough re-watch of the video today and made some notes on some issues to fix for the next updates: 02:17 Introduction speech audio too soft. 03:11 Subtitles missing from intro. 03:42 Hold “Mouse 1” to view mission notes that should read as “R Mouse/Aim”. 05:50 V-Sync option was available from the “Advanced Graphics Options” button in the menu but was missed, should be clearer/more obvious. 10:46 Binoculars scanning/tagging is available. One first has to grab the binoculars from inside the caravan, I should think of a way to make this more obvious to players. 12:50 Goat running stuck in a loop against a stationary vehicle. 17:09 Tree collider bigger than tree causing bullet to ricochet off nothing. 19:32 Should consider prompting the player to activate lantern/torch etc from inventory when it gets dark. 20:00 Poachers can see you through bushes when you can’t. 20:50 Enemy flanking working well, need more of that! 25:52 Invisible wall by fishing pond plus can’t really see the fish in the dark well. 26:20 Fishing mini-game animations need some work. 26:39 Fishing mini-game crashes to desktop. First off, let me tell you what a great job you are doing, I was surprised by the quality of the game given that you are a solo game dev, it’s great to see that you take feedback and improve the game, but you don’t need to do everything in one go, don’t put so much pressure in yourself, there is no need to fix everything in one week! There are also several different names for it, but relating to specific plants or groups of plants. Braai, mealy meal and tomato and onion sauce are the tastes of SA, and with a beer or two make for the best social gatherings.
I gotta say, I adore the long-form content; I always need somebody talking in the background or else the voices purchase new ground, and I quite like yours anyway.

Yeah I'll never understand why big game hunters think it's some kind of legendary achievement. If you wanna go kill a lion or something using a spear or a knife honestly I don't care, go wild, winning would be impressive. But shooting an animal that probably doesn't even know you're there or doesn't register you as a threat because you're far a way isn't badass, it's cowardly especially when it serves no actual purpose "Oh but the villages get money!" they say, I'm pretty sure if these altruistic dentists and shit cared about rando villages in Africa and the like they'd just donate money without the senseless animal slaughter. Imagine donating money to a childrens charity because you "love" children but your condition for the donation is that you get to punch 5 children.
There is nuance animal big game hunts usually it's because it's attacking people or eating them those are very different than the ego ones that's the primary big game hunts. Honestly the crazy bow and arrow or spear only big game hunters make more sense over ego ones as they're more likely to die

I did some research with a few real rangers and local police reservists who helped me choose more realistic weapons for the game. Then I added a few fantasy-ish ones such as Silenced SMG and the main Carbine weapon for a bit of balance/fun. Glad you like it so far, more to follow. :)
I LOVED Far Cry 2 and this game looks amazing for the price so I think I'm gonna have to pick this up. Definitely makes me think you can actually do solo game dev.

Moerkoffie is simply coffee made in one of those old open fire kettles the way it was made in the ye olden days , the "moer" part does not come from "the coffee moers(hits you hard) you" because of the booze or whatever but instead from an Old Dutch word meaning "sediment" because of the frothy layer of coffee grinds on top
I was once told you throw a hot coal from the braai in your moerkoffie to push all the grounds to the bottom of the pot, but I am yet to test this... Some people swear by it though!

I've been waiting forever for an anti-poaching game. Your gameplay was enough for me at the moment, but I just bought it to support the dev. I'll play it in 6 months once more things are ironed out. For 3 bucks why not, when $70 MW3 campaigns are utter garbage.
Omg oboe gotta cook that raw meat to 165 for chicken and 145 for beef thats a nice medium steak or 135 if you like med rare ground hamburger internal temp should be 165 also 160 for a well done steak

This was actually the first full silenced SMG playthrough of the game I've ever seen! Normally, I stick with the carbine and other more powerful rifles despite their noise alert radius. I'm open to any feedback, though! :)
Yeah, it's weird that people are paid to protect some animals to prevent extinction while also hunting others to prevent overpopulation. It makes sense from a conservational point of view, but there's a certain irony about it.
One of my favorite games ever. I wanted to make something similar but from the perspective of a character actually living in the area as opposed to a mercenary hopping off a plane.

Asset flips only refers to games that don't change assets into barely functioning games. this is what you're supposed to do with assets

This was actually the first full silenced SMG playthrough of the game I've ever seen! Normally, I stick with the carbine and other more powerful rifles despite their noise alert radius. I'm open to any feedback, though! :)

I LOVE that the game wants you to protect animals and hunt animals as part of the same mission.
Yeah, it's weird that people are paid to protect some animals to prevent extinction while also hunting others to prevent overpopulation. It makes sense from a conservational point of view, but there's a certain irony about it.

The mission failed because he let the leader escape by not keeping his eye on him, but I think the info popup didn't trigger.

One of my favorite games ever. I wanted to make something similar but from the perspective of a character actually living in the area as opposed to a mercenary hopping off a plane.
