The engineering and assembly processes explain why new vehicles are so expensive. This video is brilliant, and I love my new Jeep GC, has been flawless in operation and build quality. A friend just bought his third Wrangler, the first one was bought in 2005, he loves the Wrangler, but never takes it off-road. I like the Wrangler but wish they would make an Independent Front Suspension for those of us who don't off-road for better on-road handling. In my neighborhood, there are at least twelve Wranglers that never see the dirt roads, or are left out in the elements.
Then you should buy something else. That is the problem young making time honored vehicles get watered down. Loved 4x4 trucks when they had solid axles nice bis shift levers coming out of the floor. We are out there and we like our vehicles old school. Now all these young people throwing a fit if they cannot touch a button to make things work. I hate lazy people and my dad who would be 110 was the same way.
Just don't buy a Wrangler if you won't take it off-road. Stick with your Grand Cherokee, which is still an awesome car.
crazy to see i also saw the first production of the 1992 grand cherokee, there is allot of difference from over that 30 years
Tell me about the spec, tolerances, supplier issues, and overall cheap parts. On camera things are perfect, but in details, you will be so surprised.

I love a Jeep. I’m on my 3rd one. I’ve had an ‘05, ‘21 and now a ‘24 Overland with the US flag on the side! This video is A-mazin’! To watch how it all comes together with the robots and the expert auto builders in action is outstanding! Great facility! Go Detroit! Thank y’all for what you do! You deserve the pay and benefits for the quality of work that you do! Why? Because the consumer is driving these cars with their family, children and friends, so it’s got to be right. It’s got to be safe! Not only that, it’s gotta look good! Jeep’s gotta look hard driving down the road. You feel me? Thank you for what you all do! Top notch!

Where is this factory located?
Wrangler & Gladiators are built in Toledo OH. Cherokee (& Patriot (discontinued)) are produced in Belvidere, IL. & Grand Cherokee is built in Detroit, MI.

I am so shocked and disappointed Jeep dropped the V8. So now there are no more midsize SUV's with a V8, but the foreigners offer a V8. 😞, Oh well, thanks for the video..

That's nothing compared to the Ford Maverick testing grounds. Instead of a mild spraying of water, Ford gives their F150, Ranger and Maverick a salt bath. Jeeps get a slightly bumpy road, when Ford dishes out a full scale off-road beating going through sand, gravel, water and keeps repeating until something fails.

Here in Australia the importer Jerp FCA now Stellantis have side stepped most warranty claims since 2014, leaving 90+% of owners with an 18kAUD or 13kUSD repair bill:
Piston ring lan fail.
Cam fail.
Lifter fail.
Mds fail.
Oil pump fail need larger volume for this motor.
Valve stem seal fail.
Plastic coolant line fails
Engine mount fails.
Oil in the inlet manifold fail.
Runs too hot radiators fail short life.
Fuel consumption is one of the worst on the road if not the worst.
All the electronics and yet the valve train fail rarely shows up as a problem code, some cars engines blow up. Fail.
Dash leather ripple, won't warranty or replace fail.
Transfer case problems fail.
Map updates in unconnect fail for Australia.
Oil cooler fail.
Here in Australia parts are 3 x the price of what they should be, the government got involved at one point.
We love our Hemis in Australia but there life & reliability is that of a Russian car from the 1960s
As a first time SRT owner I'm disgusted by the Australian support and the DUMP N RUN Sales Support. Mates have all had same experience this includes Trackhawk owners

Ok...I have a 2015 Jeep. It's been the most unreliable car I've ever owned. We're talking $25K of work if not for the extended warranty. I JUST had to replace both headlights. I still love it when everything is working though. If it was built on THIS assembly line how in the hell did I get such a lemon. That line looks amazing. It's clean, sophisticated, and the workers are look top notch. Is this a new line for the new Jeeps or something?

Just curious, why did you need to replace your headlights?
@@chrishatton2642 The right one just died. I took for a bulb but Mopar claimed it was a sealed unit and that they only replace the entire headlight. It came back misaligned, and the dealership told me I would have to leave it with them for a few days to properly align it. Then the drivers side one broke within a week. I had the same procedure.
No warranty coverage for it despite having the unlimited miles bumper to bumper warranty as "plastic items aren't covered".
Total cost was bout $1000, and the car was stuck a month at the dealership (Autonation Jeep in Pembroke Pines FL)
Just a follow-up for this: I just had to have the oil pan resealed, all engine mounts replaced, and all suspension bushings were cracked and damaged. 100K miles on the odometer. Thankfully that was also covered under the extended warranty.
You guys bought jeeps that are too new. Buy a 97 grand cherokee or cherokee. It'll be the best vehicle you ever bought after you fix it up and it will take you everywhere you wanna go
What I see here Japanese Car made in Japan better than Japanese car made out of Japan. Japanese craftsmanship is better than USA craftsmanship. More focused, more dedication.
We have had no issues yet, a 2020 JL and a 2022 GC

I would like to see how the make some of the subcomponents. In particular the dashboard and seats for the Summit Reserve.
The should send their uConnect system through 1,300 testers. Shoot, as an owner I would have settled for 3 competent testers.
Pretty refreshing to see all those manual steps being done by workers in US!

If your odometer is Zero someone did something sketchy
they normally have 3-15 miles on the clock before they reach the dealership. If they have zero miles, something is wrong. They typically gain 3 miles just rolling on and off the transports
My new pre-ordered Jeep GC had 11 miles on the odometer when I took delivery. Nobody drove the vehicle, but myself and the people at the dealership who pre-serviced the car.

I bought a 2023 grand cherokee L. 2 recalls already and the u connect needs to be "refreshed" once a month! 😡 nope.. no jeep again!

Why are workers not given uniform? because it looks like they are working with personal clothes,my thinking is after they are done for the day they are suppose to change clothes

@@dr.bik.sauerlanderene_HR Literally every entity that aggregates reliability data. FCA products *consistently* rate at the absolute bottom in terms of reliability and at the very top for problems-per-million.

I have 2021. Still solid as rock. Despite she is pulling my heavy travel trailer

A gust of wind must have flicked up a grain of sand when they painted the drivers door on mine in 2022. The grain is still there embedded in the original paint, defect. Quality control, maybe in next years build.
