I love how this video doesn’t blame white people or the system but just shows the dark reality of kids growing up in the streets vs the suburbs both with the same dreams and ambitions and how there situations and environment affects there decisions while still acknowledging that it’s is still ultimately there own decision us black people have to stop blaming others for our problems regardless of who’s fault they are and take control of our lives And stop killing our brothers and sisters over shit that isn’t worth our lives or imprisonment . Absolutely beautiful video 🖤🖤🖤
ultimately though, people are products of their environment. I don't think this was about blaming other people for our problems, but more about recognizing that growing up with different resources and options leave you with different futures. the black kid in the video never blamed someone for his problems. but even though him and the white kid had the same dreams, they had different problems. The other kid had a nice home, both parents, and the money to afford chasing his dreams. While the first kid had a dad in the streets, was in poverty, and was surrounded by gangs and drugs. the black kid had to give up on his dreams early to make sure his family was taken care of. even though he chose the wrong life style, it was all he knew and for him was just a way out.
I grew up extremely poor. I don't remember how many times I was evicted. My dad was too proud to take welfare or any government aid. My whole teenage life I didn't have heat or running water mostly what would happen was winter would come around and my dad didn't pay the heating bills or electric bills...house would get too cold water pipes would always burst.. I dropped out of high school at 16 and started working 50 hours a week as a dishwasher. At 18 I got myself into a lot of legal trouble and went to jail. One thing I've noticed is that its pretty common for poor people to make poor decisions because they have poor choices making it easier to make bad decisions. Jail at 18 woke me up. I was 18 now . I'm responsible for what I do. I just went to work. I busted my butt . Now I have a good job, a car, a house in a gated community, a beautiful wife, a jetski...I'm proud of myself because I know how hard I worked. I know what poor is. I invested in myself to change my choices and luckily it worked out for me.

I appreciate that you use your platform to spread awareness, such as this-the system is set up this way, so the white and wealthy people have it good yet we all dreams and aspirations. It breaks my heart, but you're music like this talk about difficult topics which should be talked about if we want to fix it all. Thank you!
Thank you so much !!! This video was more about opportunity vs. no opportunity than white vs black , but I appreciate you and your support!!! God bless 🙌🙏💛
I promise it's not about black and white. It's about recognizing opportunity and taking heed. I'm mixed. Seen all sides. Mom tried drowning me when I was 2 got adopted to successful white parents who split, remarried multiple times, got beat, disabled sister abused in the worst way, and anything else in between you name it. I ran back to my roots and from chosen struggle I found opportunities to cultivate and build a driven movement within myself tying together roofing with tiny homes, Honey, cannabis, and OT. Get real with yourselves and go along all alone if your people dont be your people.
@@andrewwright8391 it is about black n white, racism takes a big part in how a person feels especially when your own people side with the whites. makes you feel like your worthless. and maybe he shouldn’t have done a side to side like this and more of praising your skin color no matter what you are. but i can definitely tell you racism plays a big part in this world
@@JaySiMusic - Racism mainly exists only with the people who *insist* on being victims (usually imagined), or being some sort of "savior." Do you know in Oregon they lowered the standards for "pocs" in reading and math for graduation? You know why? Because it's "racist" to expect them to do the same work, apparently, or to believe they're just as capable to do it. We'll ignore the long-standing lowered standards for college, though. We'll ignore the pocs that *protested against* this move. We'll ignore the long list of "hate crime" hoaxes people pulled "in the name of eQuaLitY" too, hm? Aside from that, dude, the artist just said it wasn't about Black vs White, sooooo......

All I can say is WOW, it is such a powerful song. Hits home, my world was in between, living both sides and I could have gone either way, but I was lucky. I know too many smart and talented people that did not make it. Prayers for a better world
So I've checked about 5 songs of yours so far, and every single one of them had PURPOSE! I could feel the depth of what you're conveying. You're not TRYING to tell me, you ARE telling me, and that's what a lot of conscious type of rappers that I get recommended to lack. You keep doing this man, you're definitely top tier. You, and rappers like you make me proud of rap as a medium to listen to important, purposeful messages that's legit food for thought.
This is what should be winning awards! I'm crying! I'm a 48yr old white women who grew up in a poor town and never made it out. I'm ok, we struggle but we together. I live with my daughter and help raise my 4 grandbabies who are mixed and so beautiful. They have black and white family who love em and we all get along. I just pray for the kids, we got to do better. If we quit hating and came together we would be unstoppable, we would not tolerate the corruption that is going on today.
This really give me chills 🥺 . I want to be an hairstylist when I grow up, i get so jealous when i see other people that want to be the same as me doing better.
@@andrewwright8391 ur right. Some r blessed w more than others
I just came across YelloPain and I'm literally in love, I'm in my feels. How have I never came across you!? I'VE NEEDED YOU!
I absolutely LOVE this song/video... really hit home for me. Thank you. This business needs a lot more YelloPain and a whole lot less of the BS that we're being fed 💪 #Respect
This got me holding back tears. This artist is DIFFERENT.
I just happen bump into this and let me tell you ty for painting a picture that is very sensitive to touch. This brought so many emotions
Finally a good song that's underrated. The flow, the message, your voice. It's just soo damn realistic, sad and touching
You know I have been listening to yello for a while now and still he is not on the radar. This man is a amazing rapper better than the majority and the reason he isn't poppin yet is because I let him down and didn't share or post his music once. Come on people let's get him what he deserves it is in our power to do this. Like if your with it. Now go share his music!

“We Ain’t Monstas, We Jus Miserable Children”
I Feel U Yello✊🏿
The message is so crystal clear, Love the passion and emotion in a message we need to hear.
I'm glad I found this song. It's so deep. Thank you YelloPain for turning pain into poetry and bringing awareness to the "kids in the system".
I absolutely love every single one of your videos. This one like many others had me crying. I can't wait for more. 🥰
But i tell my self i can do it and never give up because i’m still young , When i grow up i want to grow up and buy me family stuff . U can be whoever you want to be never give up ..
Yoooooo i think the same thing when it come to producing music
just really try not of it if it might bring u down
Youve got this thoughh
I can't stop listening to this. The realness and how deep your bars are bro. Thank you for chasing your dream so you could share it with the world

The video speaks as powerfully as the lyrics, that's what makes your songs so great.
