You should try the 800g German style hatchet. I think Prandi only made the 500g camping hatchet because there is market for them among American light-weight enthusiasts.
@@vorshack8968 I saw that, there are 2 other brands selling the exact same axes under their own name, one of them is marttiini knives. I think i buy one from them.
@@laciihasz4734 After having just returned from the woods, I think I'm going to put a longer handle on the 800g and use it as a small axe. Then pick up the 600g to use as a hatchet. As far as Marttiini is concerned? If it is the same hatchet I think they buy from Prandi and rebrand them. My reasons for thinking this are a) the Marttiini version is more expensive b) they don't have as wide of a selection as Prandi.

hi, sorry for the late answer. in my opinion u better off not buying this hatchet, after testing it it came clear that it has many drawbacks that needs fixing up. in this price range u can get axes that aren't having these problems.
Köszönjük szépen 🙏

I too prefer the light weight hatchets, the 800g is just too heavy for my taste.
They make a 600g as well with regular sized handle.

I have a small forest axe, 800g head 60cm long handle, very good set up, works like a dream!
You should tree the Bison 1879 Jagerbeil hatchet. Best in this size. Fit and finish superb, too.
Thanks, i give it a try!
