Save! Another thing that bad goalkeepers do is they stand on there line. Don’t do that. Stand 3 or more steps off your line. On a breakaway, you should rush out.
Save, damn man great vid as always , I must say , even tho I'm not a bad gk and don't any of these signs , I had most of them before coming across you , thank u for turning me into a better gk , better player and even having a better life , tysm for the 1th million time I guess😅
Communication, for me, has always been the most important trait of a keeper. Communicating is just as good at stopping shots as putting yourself between the goal and ball is. IF you communicate with your defense correctly then it basically becomes impenetrable as your giving the information needed to stay on top of each threat.
Hey! I’ve pretty much just started as a goalie coming from fullback as our actual goalie dipped. I have some old experience but it was not at the level I am playing at now. I’m just starting to learn how to sidekick and how to challenge the ball, but what would you recommend coming from my previous experience? Regards
For you the best thing you can do is to learn the basics and work your way to master them. Learn all the catching techniques, distribution techniques, Diving techniques, how to come out for crosses, positioning, 1v1 and sweeping
SAVE. I love these videos as a US boys keeper and these help me improve off of what my goalkeeper coach teaches me on my own time. I was wondering if you could make a video displaying different uniforms from past years especially condivo22 uniforms. Thanks.
Some will say that unless you not good in the air but prove him wrong you can do go for the balls it makes it easy for your defence and help takes pressure off
Hey, really enjoyed the video man! I've started playing as a GK in my rec league and I'm thinking about getting a pair of my own gloves since the ones I use right now belong to my coach and are pretty worn. Should I go for a cheaper training pair or invest in a good pair of gloves?
Can i ask hiw to improve when everobody expact the teacher say how bad i was as a gk do that teacher knew i was good and the acamy guy too i just can't get better when the keep me down from becomeing better
what are some common phrases or terms used in goalkeeper communication with teammates, and what are you generally trying to inform them of - an opponent that needs to be marked, when they have a teammate open for a pass behind them, etc
@@OP1GK perfect, thanks! i'm an old GK (hockey and soccer) at this point but i was never professionally coached and now i'm trying my best to give my 12 year old goalkeeping son some good and accurate advice, and learn something new at the same time appreciate the positivity in your videos! that's one of the biggest points i talk about on a regular basis
save,Nice vid! keep it up bro! i have a question. is apologising for every little mistake you make even if its not directly your mistake , like passing a ball to hard so your teammate cant control it a bad trait?
When we were playign a training match with my team, wehn i got a backapss two attackers were close to me and i dribbled them with ease, btu after the training the coach todl me he doesn't want that i do that?
Yes that’s right. It’s too risky because when you get older or when you start playing with better players you will get tackled and it’ll be harder to do these things
Save! And I have a question what do you do when you teammates yell at you for things you didn’t do wrong, or just call you out for something unrelated? I’ve been yelled at before for stupid things and sometimes they ask why I didn’t come out when it wasn’t a scenario where I should have. I don’t know what to do.
Many people do that even though they may not be correct. They either say that to throw the blame on you as you are a easy target because you are a goalkeeper or they might in some situation be correct. Best thing you can do is look at the scenarios from their perspective and see whether they have a point in what they are saying and if they don't then ignore them as they're just yapping. If they do then you know what you need to work on.
It's extremely rare to attack as a goalkeeper unless you're playing futsal. No need to spend time in other positions unless it's at training once or twice to improve ball control
SAVE! im a goalkeeper but i have one major weakness in goalkeeping. Ground Shots. I want to know how to easily save ground shots because thats one of my only weaknesses that is stopping me from being an actual goalkeeper. Im just commenting here incase you answer my question. Thanks bro!
Hit in the face from the ball during a dive is a technique problem and with that you can train to make it better but also watch my tutorials to help with that. During breakaway it can be common to get hit with the ball and firstly ensure your technique is right and if it is then you can tone it down when it comes to 1v1s at training as it's only training and you don't want to injure yourself
Hi brother i respect you 🤝🏼after all i am your big fan from Nepal 🇳🇵. but there is a big problem you know i am a good goalkeeper while training and playing official match i feel scared while playing with strangers so i can't communicate with my teammates and guess what i often make mistake and concede goal and my teammates always Scold me and my coach has decided to play me as a sub goalkeeper😢 so please make new tip's and trick video brother my self confidence is low but after writing this comment I am feeling better please make a video for me ❤
I'll make a video about mistakes in the future but get your confidence up by watching my confidence video about confidence and always give it your all when playing. Ignore and forget about whatever your teammates are saying and focus on your own game. Good luck and enjoy playing in goal because there's a reason why you started
I made a similar video but all videos are different with different purposes and focuses. The one you're referring to is the one about amateurs, this one is for the stage way below amateurs
ok just because you don't play with your feet doesnt mean ur a bad keeper, some people are just a traditional keeper who focuses more on shot stopping than playing as an extra defender
Unfortunately for you in today's game the goalkeeper role is the entire thing from distribution, ball control, claiming crosses, sweeping, etc not just shot stopping. Therefore in today's game if you might be a good shot stopper but have you got the other necessary attributes the modern goalkeeper needs?
@@OP1GK i get that but you don't have to good in these areas, look at Sa for wolves, he aint the good at claiming or distributing but he's a good shotstopper end of the day that should always be a keepers primary job. and also personally modern keepers are overrated traditional keepers like ter-stegan, Buffon, Oblak, De Gea will always be better XD

Love the count. Let's see how far we can push this 💪. Boxing helps. Overall you have to be brave as a keeper. You must gather confidence in yourself to be able to save shots like that.
Lack of consistency, poor technique, lack of instincts/poor judgement, not studying opposing players before the match to see how they move (people are creatures of habit), lack of flexibility in the hips, no body flight, no lateral (side reach) movement, a hunched upper back, poor lung capacity & elasticity of intercostal muscles, poor eyesight, stiff shoulders & no breath control.

Invest in a good pair for sure. A cheap one will be bad and will wear too quickly
You should talk about the fact that new gk uses their legs more often. Should teach them how to get out of that obession.
