Dude a comedian has one mission, to make the audience *LAUGH* . Every comedian has bombed but this isn’t a sympathy thing, he went out to make them laugh and he failed. It was awful. It’s not the end of his career but don’t blame the audience, they don’t owe “sympathy” laughter
@@UnderTheBridge96 I don't think Jo Koy needs or wants any "sympathy" laughter. Yes he had "one mission"; to host a major award event. But to prep for it in just 10 days? Previous hosts had MONTHS to prepare! But Ms. Rivers is right that because the Golden Globes is supposed to be a fun event, some of these celebrities could at least lighten up on their egos and not be so snooty. They don't need to scowl or give fake laughter. It's not too hard to be nice and cordial like Meryl Streep or Robert DeNiro, who were really class acts!

JOKOY did an okay job. I have no complaints about it. It was a great show, he delivered okay given the tight schedule. No one's offended. Oppenheimer got awards, everybody's happy. Swifties just got butthurt and We don't care. It is what it is.❤

I think Jokoy would’ve performed better if he was given more time to prepare. Another comedian came to his defense and said that people only see a 10 or 15 minute gig, but people don’t know that what goes behind it is the hundreds or hours rehearsing. He also said that overall Jokoy did well. Jokoy would’ve been more comfortable delivering those jokes given ample time.

Agree with Melissa. I don't think he bombed at all. Jokoy was great. He was more respectful of people than Rick Gervais. Maybe many we're just expecting too much. He delivered several good jokes. For someone to host that kind of a show for the first time, with him being an outsider and not having had the opportunity to hobnob with those in the audience before, that's courage. And to come out still able to elicit good laughter, maybe not from all his jokes, that was great performance still. Just being objective about it.

I’m sure Melissa inherited a lot of wonderful qualities from her brilliant mother, but it’s hard to look at her own stiff, plastic face after what Joan did to herself all those years. Melissa was a lovely young woman and it’s sad to see what she felt she needed to change when, in fact, she was pretty and healthy-looking.

Very thorough and professional, Melissa. Right on. It doesn't help viewership to have a demure audience with low energy. Angela Bassett looked fabulous. Taylor Swift's green dress looked great. Helen Mirren's dress was great and JLo's dress was, too. If I had the opportunity to attend an awards event, I wouldn't wear black. Greta's dress was perfect.
