Video Suggestion. Could you do a project making a clock out of the IV-8 VFD tubes and an Arduino? There are lots available, but I'd rather build my own. Your 4x4 led cube was easy to duplicate (not because of your video quality I'm sorry to say) but because of all the support information found on your website, showing step by step instructions. They are regular 5mm 5v LEDs. Just search on Amazon or Conrad Electronic.

What is the difference if I threaten the LED´s with sandpaper ?
The light wil be more diffused. Normaly the build in lens will lead to a smaller enlighted center on the top of the led, but while using LEDs in a cube you want them to be also bright on their sides.
