my wife has been caught in a face to face car crash a few days ago, on tuesday, 2 november 2021, it was 160km/h crash, engine smoking, and many of her bones broken, but she told me she woke up and eared Draconian in the car.
I'am not able to know if it was 'death come near me' but for sure, death was not that far....

Overdose of empathy.
What a gothic - doom - ethereal masterpiece!. Clear beautiful voice at the same time than a heartbreaking voice, then deep powerfull chords all shrouded with a slow and very heavy dark drums and bass sound.
All we are sleepwalkers trying to awake of this unanimated world.
I so much love it, that the Draconian Style has never gone since their first professionally recorded albums. I bought "Where lovers mourn" when it was a "new release" out of curiosity and next to Katatonia they are my favourite band ever since... because they have never lost their way whilst still developing thoughout times.
Whenever I feel as lost as these days, my feelings and the bands expressions align ... it's like your soul connects to your inner feeling world. Hardly any other band can ever create such emotional bondings to your own inner self.

Вокал это один из основных компонентов готики и дума.
@@iambatmantoo Только Дракониан - это типа нашего Ленинграда (уж простите за сравнение), где дуэт Эриксон + Якобссон что-то вроде Шнура (ещё раз простите). Кстати отличная новость, Лиза вернулась в группу и заменила Хайке. А насчёт Найтвиш, я фиг знает, никогда не нравились. Мне что Тарья, что кто-то там ещё, а музыка не зашла.
@@lexlol_noob4541 слушал как прошлые альбомы Draconian, так и другие проекты Хайке. Эта девочка привнесла не только приятный голос, вышеупомянутый крутой продакшен и атмосфера туманного рассвета - совершенно точно ее рук дело. Вся ее музыка звучит полетно и отстраненно.

I was in Riga on the moment when this track was released and used to walk in the city center each night listening to it. It seemed to go far beyond my headphones to foggy autumn Riga nights and resonated with the atmosphere of beautiful of night city.

This is probably the best performance by heike what I mean by that is the way she sounds is phenomenal and beautiful her voice has a low register that is dark and soothing and her higher register has a beautiful ethereal type of sound this is your spotlight heike keep going
Not far to agree...This perfomance is just one of her best. But her emotional intonations on "Pale Tortured Blue" remain to me the best performance by Heilke : thhe definition of perfection in terms of vocals.
I am simply blown away. This music and the video is an eternal masterpiece. Kudos and well done! What a compelling piece of art!

It's a dance! Just an incredible measure of ebb and flow. His voice of growled and defiant rage... so effortlessly balanced with her ethereal voice of such dark angelic grace. Oh my - this one is indeed quite special. Really just an absolutely beautiful creation.

I was a sleepwalker as a young child. I could walk around with my eyes wide open and be in a deep sleep. Of course i have no recollection of doing it, only from what my parents told me. I also had severe night terrors too. I was away at summer camp and i was told that during th night I was running around outside screaming at the top of my lungs, eyes wide open. It sounded so unbelievable to me. I had no memory of it . But the looks i was getting from the other kids the next day, i guess said it all. They were scared shitless of sleeping in the same room with me. LOL It wasn't anything I could control I had no clue i was even doing it. Bizarre how the mind works. I don't know if that's the result of trauma, because i had plenty of that as a child.
I guess this what you call Doom Metal. Very intriguing sound. Dark , haunting, yet strangely beautiful.
I love this band. He voice is beautiful and combines so well with this music.

Draconian reminds me 90`s. Oh, how long time it was... Simmilar to Theater but yet different. God and Godess. BTW: Heike sounds like Aleah. OMG.
Its the only band that makes me so nostalgic.yes..the 90's
I would say Aleah is a bit lower in the vocal register and has a bit more warmth in her tone, though her diction (pronounciation of words) isn't as pronounced as Heike's, which can sometimes make it hard to understand what she is singing. Not better or worse - just different. Both wonderful vocalists.

Ive never been a huge fan of growlers to me its like found footage horror movies more confusing then necessary, but in a few bands ive started to warm up and then i found this band the complete opposite vocal styles magically work and the music is really good ive never been so happy to listen to something that at first glance appears so dark and bleak 😁😁😁😁😁
Check out first two albums from Theatre of Tragedy (selftitled and 'Velvet Darkness They Fear'). That band made 'beauty & beast' vocals popular.

Впервые слышу об этом коллективе. Но эта песня зацепила с первого прослушивания
Это одна из лучших думовых групп. Глянь и старые альбомы. Там много топовых песен. Хотя стиль они сменили на последнем альбоме.
О, дружище... Тебе выше правильно написали: у Draconian нет плохих альбомов (с Лизой на вокале мне нравятся даже больше). Также, если на дум потянуло, можешь чекнуть Doom:VS (сольный проект гитариста Draconian Юхана Эриксона - правда, без женского вокала, и это уже больше фьюнерал) или Trees of Eternity (к сожалению, тут всё совсем печально).
Эта песня да ....до мурашек обожаю Draconian и впринципе готические группы но в этом альбоме только эта тема цыпанула ...предыдущие 2 альбома понравились больше SOVRAN и ROSE ROR THE APOKALIPSE

А вообще, соглашусь с @VECTOR7 - такие вещи как Draconian нужно слушать много и вдумчиво: это не та музыка, которую можно просто поставить фоном.
Пожалуй, Under a Godless Veil - альбом года. Во всяком случае, как минимум яркий претендент. Примерно наравне с февральским Spectres from the Old World от Dark Fortress. Ну, и ещё пластинка от Dark Tranquillity на подходе, обещает быть бомбой. Разумеется, всё вышесказанное - субъективщина.
