It’s crazy how similar turbocharged, direct-injected gasoline engines sound to diesels when they’re nice and frosty. My dad’s S60 T5 (4 banger) sounded like that when it was cold. He eventually replaced it with a 4Runner (1GR dual VVT-i) and it’s much quieter due to it being a port injected N/A V6. Unfortunately he got into an accident with the Volvo and totaled it. It only had 80,000 miles.

очень даже удивили машины хёндай и киа! Запустились с первой попытки. Для тех кто спрашивает что за гул при запуске это гудит у вас насос ГУР. Спустя некоторое время звук пропадет не переживайте. Не рекомендуется на холодную вращать рулем! Может выдавить сальники, вывести из строя насос ГУР.

That BMW, probably a better idea to heat the oil pan than the intake.
