10:34 does this mean the model will change for everyone, or just the holder, if the holder is in first- or third-person view? (Potential for detecting whether someone is normal?)
Mojang ought to do one massive parity update between Bedrock and Java. Go through every single difference, no matter how small, and reevaluate them all, one by one. If one side is objectively better than the other, the other side gets that too. If both sides are objectively bad, come up with something new. If both sides are uniquely good, set that difference aside for a community vote.
That new entity pick up system would be perfect for introducing a sword/axe enchantment that disarms weapon holding enemies. That way they do less damage and they'd make it a priority to pick it back up.
If a mob equips a renamed item above anything else it also means that a player's renamed armour etc, when they are killed by mobs who will equip items, has a better chance of being picked up over generic items, and therefore not despawning, giving them just a slightly higher chance of surviving the despawn timer. I expect it is only a very small increase in the chance of items not despawning, but still a good thing.
With all of the technical changes they're introducing, I want them to make two changes: add resource pack aupport for entity models and animations, and finish splitting fluids from blocks so we can have lava logging or even implement the Bedrock layers system so we can have snow logging in Java.
I think it works in order, top first and if they are equal move to lover condition The new item has a higher base armor value (material) The new item has a higher base armor toughness value (material tiebreaker) The new item has more enchantments (if they have same material) The new item is less damaged (if same material and number of enchantements) The new item has a custom name while the old one doesn't (same material, number of enchants and dmg)

while we're getting changes to in-hand item models, i hope they allow resource/data pack makers to make items look different in your hand than they do in your inventory. currently the trident is the only item that behaves that way, and apparently it's hard-coded. but wouldn't it be cool if, for example, we could have a pixel art sprite for the mace in your hotbar/inventory, but a 3D model for it in your hand

weird new idea. new alternate versions of our enchantments like instead of Knockback theres CreakBack which is knockback for creakings and doesnt work on any other mobs and once you have creakback u cant have knockback Sharpness With Sight. if the player you hit with your sword isnt looking at you itll deal move damage. SharpSight I II III IV V instaed of aqua affinity and stuff theres Resin Sight on your helmet and after hitting a creaking its heart particles dont disappear and keep appearing. only works on 1 creaking tho
I watch your snapchot videos via the TH-cam homepage. I'm not subscribed since i don't really watch hermitcraft. I really like this content though, it's clear, fun and technical when needed !
I think that the item pickup mechanics work like a checklist instead of a one row list, that it doesn’t take the item that is renamed because its at the top of the list, but instead it checks all the item stats, that’s why it wouldn’t pick up the renamed chestplate, cause it had less modifiers than the undamaged enchanted netherite chestplate, which has 4. So for it to pick up another item, it would have to pick up a undamaged enchanted RENAMED netherite chestplate

I think it'd be cool if the wandering trader took resin for trades instead of emeralds, it'd give both the trader and resin more use and wouldnt be super op or anything given the trader has a random assortment ranging from useless to looks kinda neat
"No no look It says It right here" the phrase got me of guard 😂😂😂
I love the Resource Pack changes, as i can have my tools retextured to Copper more easily
10:34 does this mean the model will change for everyone, or just the holder, if the holder is in first- or third-person view? (Potential for detecting whether someone is normal?)
Forget using it as a tag list, #bee_attractive has some social media potential.
This implies the collar is a part of the pet's anatomy
I'm a long time subscriber. I always watch the change logs even though I never play Minecraft. I just find it a very intriguing game to see
Mojang ought to do one massive parity update between Bedrock and Java.
Dunno if you already knew, but "criteria" is a plural word. The singular is "criterion". Thanks for another great update. =)
Phantom just won the mob vote again
A second phantom has hit the outpost, the overworld is under attack
@@m_affiliates what do u mean? new annoying mob coming?
@ mine eleven
collar color is a nice word. :)
I like the short subscribe notification. Its quick and simple and on point
Scar's creeper costume will be better now.
Love your videos! So great and edited
Minecraft still makes oversights when it comes to bug fixing.
I kinda wish skeletons could still have swords..
With all of the technical changes they're introducing, I want them to make two changes: add resource pack aupport for entity models and animations, and finish splitting fluids from blocks so we can have lava logging or even implement the Bedrock layers system so we can have snow logging in Java.
Oh my gosh bug 212 destroys a lot of escape rooms lol
I think it works in order, top first and if they are equal move to lover condition
The new item has a higher base armor value (material)
The new item has a higher base armor toughness value (material tiebreaker)
The new item has more enchantments (if they have same material)
The new item is less damaged (if same material and number of enchantements)
The new item has a custom name while the old one doesn't (same material, number of enchants and dmg)
I do think you make the most comprehensive snapshot videos I have seen, however I have not subscribed because I do not want to be drowned in content. The snapshot videos are pretty much all I come to you for because you do such a good job with them.
Needed a nice distraction today. Thanks, X.
10:17 so eating animations mod is in vanilla now, cool.
while we're getting changes to in-hand item models, i hope they allow resource/data pack makers to make items look different in your hand than they do in your inventory. currently the trident is the only item that behaves that way, and apparently it's hard-coded. but wouldn't it be cool if, for example, we could have a pixel art sprite for the mace in your hotbar/inventory, but a 3D model for it in your hand
Does resin and copper trims looks similar?
2:14 Creaking looks like gonna act like the Weeping Angels.
Hey Xisuma! Dumb question, when you were highlighting the changes, you could highlight multiple different words at once? Can you tell me on how to do that? It would be very useful! Love your videos, keep it up!
been playing minecraft for years and I never even noticed the cats get collars too
i think it goes like this:
less damage?>armour value>toughness>amount of enchants>?
ok, I finally subscribed
weird new idea.
new alternate versions of our enchantments like instead of
Knockback theres CreakBack which is knockback for creakings and doesnt work on any other mobs and once you have creakback u cant have knockback
Sharpness With Sight. if the player you hit with your sword isnt looking at you itll deal move damage. SharpSight I II III IV V
instaed of aqua affinity and stuff theres Resin Sight on your helmet and after hitting a creaking its heart particles dont disappear and keep appearing. only works on 1 creaking tho
4:26 sus
Can you make snowballs the preferred weapon and do mobs attack with it? That would be a fun xmas mod
😂because that's how collars are made😂😂
Hey X hope you're doing well 😊 I have a question about the Vanilla Tweaks resource packs, I've always used them. Love them!!! Never had an issue until I updated to 1.21.3. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? It's not just the Vanilla Tweaks either, all resource packs are giving a "failed to load" message and I can't figure it out for the life of me. If anything has any ideas I'd appreciate it 😊
You need packs made for 1.21.3
I've redownloaded them from the VT website thinking it was possibly that. I figured they'd be up to date but I'll wait a little while longer before trying again. Thank you so much for the response 😊
Eating animations mod will no longer need to be modded with this change! :O
