This message taught me where I was wrong. Despite being a Christian I was struggling with my sins. I myself was trying to overcome my sins. But for now I want to know the holy Spirit more and allow him to change me.
Same thing I've been struggling so hard asking God non -stop why can't I be loving why can't I not be addicted why can't I change my attitude why can't I have clarity why can't I be patient, kind, slow to anger, humble, have self control and all the fruits of the spirit thats the issue I'd see the problem a lack of lofe and try so hard to love more but then theres my anger issue and self control issue always trying to fix one problem at a time at the expense of my relationship with God to the point where it becomes inexistent in those moments because I become so focused on my problems that I begin to serve my problems rather than God I worship my problems rather than God and walk in my problems rather than in the SPIRIT theres an anointing on this message in this video I can hear it and it brought quite a lot of clarity. i mean I can't stress this enough I wanted so hard to bear the fruits of the spirit that I tried to do it on my own strength and at the expense of my relationship with him I tried so hard but would fail because I do not have the strength or capability to bear those fruits I mean Jesus said " I am the vine and apart from me you can do nothing " so instead of focusing on trying to do it we ought to focus on our relationship with him its like the mary and martha situation mary chose the good portion to focus on Jesus and martha was troubled by much to do same exact thing as me I was troubled with much to change instead of focusing on Jesus and then troubled about my inability to carry out the works that ONLY the spirit himself can do in me, it was to the point where I would believe the enemy telling me that I am condemned and that thats the reason I can't do these things but NO it's because that power doesn't come from us it conea from him and unless we focus on him we cannot do that which is good and we cannot BE good apart from him either because of the sinful nature of the flesh we are evil by nature so inevitably if we TRY to do it or be it ourselves the fruit of the spirit im talking about here we are bound to fail I meam in the first place God doesn't want US to do it because then we'll take credit for him and all the glory is meant to be his not ours which is why he is saying to focus on him this is also the reason the Bible says salvation is a gift nor of works lest any men should boast.

Watched Host the Holy Ghost yesterday. Today I watched this. Every time, Holy Spirit made sure these teachings came across my feed. I am the older generation, turning 65 in couple of months. From my teens, can't believe it took til now to learn this important fact. I was never taught or trained, only asked if I wanted to accept the Lord as Savior. I wish these teachings were available when I was younger but I am not dead yet so the Holy Spirit can still use me. Had a great revealing conversation with Holy Spirit already last night. Thank you for sharing such important messages to the believers young AND old.

I put God first in my life! I Thank you Jesus, even in times of need, despair, and brokenness, you are there for me. Please, put your arms around me and my children. I trust you Heavenly Father. But I’m losing hope. Like many other single parents things are tough on me. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m constantly struggling to provide for them and now that I’m home schooling them my hours to work are limited. I’m overwhelmed. Father God hear my prayers. My faith in you is strong! Even as I constantly struggle to pay my rent. And I constantly struggle to provide groceries for my children. I’m keeping faith. Walking with faith is the most important thing us christian’s can do. That’s why love compassion and prayers are all we truly need.
God will never give us more than we can bear it may be hard but enjoy them as much as possible be glad your children are alive and breathing

I felt this. I felt every bit. I started to cry. I didnt know Holy Spirit was like that. I was always taught "it" is a messenger to convict. Like when you did something wrong and God wants your attention. I never thought of Him as a person and exactly how powerful He is. That communion means He wants to be our Bestie. I deeply struggle trusting that Holy Spirit is with me, in me, despite recently receiving the gift of tongues and having experienced the life of Christ. That’s very insightful, the part about the fruit as a singular word and not a plural word: “fruits”. The Holy Spirit produces all 9 fruits at the same time. It’s the fruit of the Holy Spirit. I can work on (in my own efforts) maybe 1 of them at the expense of another. We don’t just develop each fruit individually, and especially not when it’s just us trying our best to change. Friendship with the Spirit is the nourishing soil that grows the fruit. Our fruit nourishes others. Thank you for sharing that.
