I used to sing this with the youth choir at the former church my daddy pastored...I LOVED THIS SONG! It was and still is a personal testimony to me...I am gonna make it!!!I feel a shout coming on!
This was from their very first project, which was called "I'll Make It". It is currently out of print (which is why so many were excited it was remade for radio city). At that time they were signed to Sweet Rain, which was a local label in Philly.
This is the version i saw in 88 that brought me back to church ! Sreious praise and FUNK ! I was hooked and it's just gotten better . you can't top a classic ....
Always love this song. When I feel like all my strength is gone, the Lord puts this song in my heart. "All Right now..... Then I know, the storm is over now.
HAHAHAH!! I just...LOVE how Hez TORE it up, sweat and all, then brings in Monique for the kill! Then after all of that he comes back to earth and says "Thank God :D" lol!! Love my Hez and LFCC!
I recorded the original song from either the radio station of WCGL or WSVE back in 1987 & I would usually play this over & over & over & my tape popped, I loved the boogie woogie bass line & the other notes & chords that come in & out of this song, thanks.
Won't nothing better than the North-South connection between Pastor Hez and Pastor Kee. It seems like their styles are different, yet they blend together and sound perfect. I wonder if Pastor Hez would do a song with the New Life Community Choir?
The God in you is absolutely amazing and I feel His presence in your glorious singing I'm glad you decided to choose Jesus Christ to sing for. Beautiful thanks for letting God have your. So Amazing 👏 😍 🙌
Thanks for posting this. I think I was fresh out of high school when I first heard this. This is the song that put Hezekiah Walker on da map in Chicago! I'm guessing this came out like in 1985 or 1986? And I love the remake that was done too! A great song of encouragement! Yes!, It's alright now. I'll make it!
I still have my cassette copy from the late '80's. You are going to have a hard time getting this on cassette or CD. Matter of fact I do not think they made this on CD, unless it was a remake.
Man this is really a throwback! lol u almost cant tell thats him. I love the song tho. Hey sis come thur and check out some of my video blogs! Youll be blessed
was this a choir competion, i see there is no real audience it jus looks lik 2 other choirs bt i love the remake of this, thats really wat i'm lookin for bt i kno i'll make it!!
at 3:54 on the original track he should have said the words : through hard trials, tribulations, persecution I need to beg for, sink or swim if I die I'll make it.
WOW, this is old! They are dressed like the SANCTIFIED used to dress. I miss those days. Too many sex symbols in the church now trying to make a statement. lol Where did the standard go? lol Sang Hez!

I grew up in my church choir. I miss those "black and white" days. It's amazing how much tradition was shared across the African American church.
I love this. I pray generations of unstop blessings on you and your loved ones. In the name of Jesus
