If you look at the 20 most highly trafficked political stories over the past six years, the mainsteam media has invariably been forced to quietly offer corrections months later and admit to having gotten the entire story wrong. Just think of a few of the cases - Trump is a “Russian spy”, Hunter Biden laptop is “Russian disinfo”, Trump “gassed peaceful protesters for a photo op”, inflation will be “transitory”, Rioters at Capitol executed a cop with a fire extinguisher, Rittenhouse “attacked peaceful protesters”, etc etc etc. Anyone who trusts these people at this point is by definition a fucking moron.
That’s why I only watch 5-10 min of a channel and then switch bc they can’t go more than 5 minutes either talking shit about Trump or Biden or something related to the other party depending on where they lean. So annoying.

Compared to most networks NewsNation is less biased than most, however it is not the best source of news when it comes to TV news. You want information that is unbiased, but you also want enough opinion pieces to be thought provoking. The problem is how can the average person have enough time to watch enough news to flatten the bias curve that you are being exposed to. I started watching Dan Abrams the last couple months because I thought it would be nice to hear a middle of the road perspective on today's topics. Don't get me wrong, I do like him, but his predictable, cookie cutter format of starting off every single issue blaming other networks is becoming kind of annoying and wreaks of disingenuousness. He seems to think his show will be successful simply on that format alone. As if everyone but him is crazy and his "middle of the road" no stance view on all topics is the right way to think. Sometimes, one side is right and the other is wrong, that's just life. I find that 75% of his show is nothing more than him simply attacking what other networks say, rather than give his own opinions which he thinks will shield him from scrutiny and build trust with viewers. Kind of weak reporting if you ask me.
I listen for terms like "now more than any time in history". If someone really believes that political powers or stories are by today's standards the best or the worst throughout history I stop listening. Because that's more of a commentary than a news story. I want to know what's really going on, how it's affecting different people and myself, and what I personally need to do to be safe or live capably.
So many people criticizing the chart, but none of those people have bothered to investigate the metrics used. Comments are superficial, biased, go figure. The single biggest challenge we all have is getting over ourselves. Perhaps then we will be able to consider alternative ideas and information.

Yeah that is very true but clearly the more mainstream media on the left at least stays out of the straight propaganda like the right operates in. Does the chart analyze what shows omit or don't report on, therefore not being 100% on the left or right? An example would be the recent objection to showing Trumps victory speech on MSNBC or cut off by CNN. Another example would be a 2 minute left leaning positive report, compared 30 minutes, in depth coverage of the same topic on a right leaning broadcast. Omiting or glossing over articles is sometimes more problematic.

I think they have to separate 'talk show' format with hard news programs. The talk show is expected to be more opiniated than the hard news programs

Does the chart analyze what shows omit or don't report on, therefore not being 100% on the left or right? An example would be the recent objection to showing Trumps victory speech on MSNBC or cut off by CNN. Another example would be a 2 minute left leaning positive report, compared 30 minutes, in depth coverage of the same topic on a right leaning broadcast. Omiting or glossing over articles is sometimes more problematic.
