That’s what breaks my heart the most. I feel so sorry for those kids, because they’re the ones suffering.
It says a lot that the Adelsons cut off all contact with the father's (Dan’s) family for years too. Those children are going to have a lot of issues as they grow up.

I just feel this investigation and prosecution tangled up this case & made it harder than it should be. I have seen less evidence in other cases that were found guilty. I don’t know how the wife hasn’t been arrested. She would fold on the whole crew. But they go for the hardened criminals first. Ugh it’s frustrating.
Arrest Donna and Wendy...such an evil family
Having very closely followed this case, I always, always knew the wealthy family of the ex wife were involved in the murder of the children's father, but proving it was a completely different beast. Thank goodness that in the vast majority of things in life, the truth always wins out in the end. Justice for Dan Markell.
Shanna Gardner did the same thing, but used her husband instead of her brother.
I think there is more than enough evidence to prove it. It is whether or not they want to go after the rest of them. Even before the enhanced Dolce vida tapes, the recordings between Donna and Charlie after the bump are very incriminating. As well as Donna paying Katie when she clearly didn't work for the Adelson institute.
Although Wendy did some really suspicious things, the hard evidence to convict her may not be there. Although collectively, they might be enough for consciousness of guilt.

12 yr old Lori Paige from Tallahassee has been missing and only now after 8 months theres been some kind of investigation. How competent are the police in Tallahassee? Is this also why the Dan Markel case has been taking so long????

@@MortgageGirl7 Apparently, (according to old communications/letters/emails/texts) Dan was very controlling and coercive during the marriage and tried to be afterwards. However, that does not excuse justification for murder during a custody battle.
@@mickymitts3031 Wendi was educated but she stopped to have children. Allegedly, Dan was more 'traditional' in his religion in wanting Wendi to stay at home with the children, while he worked. Nothing wrong with that if both partners agree to that.

She's an unindicted co conspirator as announce by the SA 's office. They likely have the goods on her. Wait till mid October... You might find there is some action. in the previous case if KM II , CJA was arrested one month before Magbanua was tried for the second time. Since then , for about 18 months he has been in the Leon Cty Jail.

I’m so glad you made this special! I remember following this case years ago, and hoping that these people would be arrested. I lost track of it and had forgotten about it until I saw this video come up in my TH-cam feed today.

Why was Charlie Adelson arrested 5 years after Katie Magbanua when they were on same wiretaps?
Part of the reason is the tape was poor quality and only recently enhanced.
Because allegedly the old prosecutor who was handling the case had ties to the Adelson family.
Cuz she finally flipped on him after her conviction, I’m pretty sure she has made some sort of deal and will be testifying against him.
Also they had one of the hit men pointing fingers at her but didn’t directly deal with anyone else so he can’t testify against Charlie. They also have other phone calls between her and the hot men and location evidence and evidence she received lots of money after the hit. Don’t think they had much on him, they need more, and that’s why I believe she’s talking now.

They really can’t have her testify. And I doubt they will. She lied repeatedly under oath and no jury is going to base any decision on something she says.
The ENTIRE Adelson family was behind Dan's murder. Not only should Charlie be in trial, but Wendy, who KNEW about the plot, and the mother who is the backbone of the family. It seems the father is in the picture but just went along with everyone's plan.

This is only a small slice of justice. Magbanua really effed up this case. If she took the deal by the state to implicate the real ringleaders (Wendy and her parents) they would be behind bars. Magbanua is now in for life and now her chances of being taken seriously if she decides to fess up will fall on mostly deaf ears because she's now a convicted felon. She deserves hefty jail time no lie, but she got played by the Adelsons and took the lion's share of the blame. Everyone in this circus, bar Dan, the ex-boyfriend who Wendy tried to frame and the innocent children are disgusting.
Yep, if I’d been her lawyer I would have had hundreds of long talks with her to make her understand that her only shot at ever seeing the light of day again would be to turn states witness. But I can’t blame her lawyers- perhaps they did do that and Katy wouldn’t listen.

I’ve followed this case for so many years and from the beginning I believe her family play a big part of his murder. I was losing hope that that family will never be held accountable but to see the brother is now in jail and will be held responsible gives me some comfort! Now they just need to get her mom and dad!

Having followed this dreadful case for over 6 years - I am still amazed how the Adelson family group 'thinktank' got away with murder in the most blatant manner, and for so long.

Dans voice came through so clearly, it brought me to a stop, as though he were on the other end of the phone. You couldn’t get two more diametrically opposed families.
Dan is an incredible man whose legacy lives on, and whose voice is heard through the incredible voice & work of Mrs Ruth & her activism.

This won’t be justice until Donna & Wendy Adelson are in prison. It’s clear they were both involved. Those poor boys. Wendy even robbed those boys of Dan’s last name. She took away Markel & legally changed their names to Adelson. People who have kids & think they get to take their children away from the other parent when they get divorced are selfish awful people and don’t love their kids. I couldn’t stand my ex and he thought he should have full custody. No way was he getting that but luckily for him and our kids, I would NEVER take my kids from their dad. I moved right around the corner so they could decide with their feet. We shared 50/50 until they were adults. We both have good relationships with them. You don’t get to take your kids away from a parent they love just because you want to move. You can move when your youngest turns 18.
