  • BGP is used to exchange routes between ISPs/Coporate customers. Here I am demonstrating you how to implement BGP over IPSec in Palo Alto devices.

    great explanation, don't we need to add import or export rules

    • @firewalllife
      @firewalllife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually import and export rules are more like Cisco route maps. You may use those in case of route filtering.. Let me explain a scenario.. Let's say you want to advertise only one subnet to a BGP peer that is 10.0.0.0/8 so then you can have an export rule specifying this subnet with the action of allow.. Then all the other routes will be filtered except this. And also you may use these filters to change BGP route attributes. Let's say you want to import a specific route which is learnt from two BGP peers and you want to prefer one peer over the other.. So then you can add an import rule and change the weight of that preferred peer's route to a higher value..

    Hi, If there is multiple existing ipsec vpn configured with static route , and one of the customer want his connectivity to be done via dynamic routing via BGP can both static and the dynamic route operate simultaneously
