It would be nice sometimes to actually explain why stuff doesn't matter. Like on Leona, he says something like, "If you think these damage changes mean something, you don't understand". It would be interesting if instead he said something like "Leona is strong because of X, Y and Z, so nerfing damage won't change anything".
Surely you can implement critical thinking and think about the champs kit. Even a simple point such as when you have a leona that's in a decent to strong state in the game with no real counter picks playable, the enemy bot has to warp their summoner spells towards leona, as in ADC forced to take cleanse. They lose the option of going barrier or heal which in even skill play almost always loses you the 2v2. Losing a small amount of damage does apsolutely nothing to warp the champions fundamentals, trade patterns, reasons to pick and the reasons she is played. On top of that the only damage that is hit is the mid to late game base damage, at which point leona's dmg is already irrelevant.
What about the hardcore fearless draft that the LCK Challengers currently use? In Hardcore fearless, all 10 champions played in game 1 are banned regardless of team who played them. So, champs 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 cannot be swapped by teams for game 2, they are completely banned away for games 2 and 3. It has allowed for the LCK CL to show a lot more team and champ diversity.
I mean I helps but teams just start rotating the same team comps over and over between series it’s great for bo5 tho that’s when you really see its impact

i don't understand why you ever build LDR over mortal reminder now, you get 10 AD in exchange for permanent grevious wounds which is just not worth even if there's little healing on the enemy team

The fleet nerfs are interesting in that for most fleet users, the healing is nice to have, but it's the movement speed that makes it really strong. Champs like Vayne, Zeri, Smolder, or Jhin love being able to run in, do some poke, and run away with little counter play from the enemy laner. Fleet users would still use the rune even if it gave 0 healing until the movement speed is nerfed.
I'd like to ask LS what IS blocking Zed from competitive, since he said in the 14.14 rundown, as it wasn't made clear in that video, and isn't made clear if these buffs help him in any way except being able to build more defensive items (Which is obv good)
This has to be one of the most vague and pointless reviews of a patch notes I've ever witnessed. Not only he didn't even bother to do basic maths to realice that stuff like Aurora E is a buff at every stage of the game instead of what he said, but the speedrunning of the champions changes with legit no insight except for random cringe comments like "If you think this changes impact Leona you can't read patch notes".

the intention of teams seems to be to make draft matter as little as possible so that their play is easier. But that only works if you are already the best team in the league.
10 extra damage per attack with void seems great on something like Evelyn Q. Casts 3-4 times is an extra 30-40 damage per rotation and it's on a low cd. I could be wrong though

They should do a revert of the revert to Kraken Slayer and put it back to 13.10's version, with MS and no Crits. It should be Magic Damage, especially since it's actually losing damage over a fight compared to Wits End, unless you have Execution Synergy (BorTK, Kai'Sa). It makes the game much more consistent as well, since you go BoRTK for long fights and Kraken Slayer to kill tanks in quicker rotations, as more of a 1v1/Trade Item.

Abyssal Mask and Sylas changes kinda go hand in hand, no? He now has an item that makes his W change a buff along with giving him VERY strong defensive stats along with 30% Mpen just slapped on for good measure. I can see it might be situational, but Sylas can now be played as an offtank/bruiser/still oneshotting squishes because lmao type champ that just shits on scaling AP matchups even harder than before, AND I might be stretching it a little bit here; but now he can fit easier into comps as a top laner with the additional tankiness the item/build path provides.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, given I don't play league much anymore, but I'm pretty confident this is pretty insane.
No since he lose too much damage and the w hp scaling is too low beside that he could benefit from other hp scaling like maybe a hp scaling shield on his e2

I don't get argument that a small buff like on void staff is small and less impactful, so it doesn't matter. If void staff received + 60 AP, it would clearly be generally stronger than Cryptbloom, and right now we're at + 15 AP compared to season start. At some point in between 0 and 60, there is an increment of 5 where Void Staff becomes strong.
Compared to last patch, you arent going to start building void over crypto because, like little snowman said, it gives like 10 damage a rotation
True, like with electrocute damage getter better early, with ignite being better, there might be a break point where that extra 20 - 50 ish damage does mean a kill or enough poke to discourage a fight from occuring or getting a pick. Syndra and Leblance come to mind with this. Like those 2 or 3 item spikes, but if its outscaled by the 4th and 5th item breaks, than there is not much of a big window to abuse it, which plaining the whole draft or idea of 'winning' around that small of a margin is probably just not a good strat, which is why people are not doing it. AKA play corki, azir, scale to infinity, etc.... and blah blah blah better than eveything.
@@UnruHorizon the idea its only 10 damage in a team fight is ridiculous. An AP ratio isnt getting used only once, and this isnt being built on utility mages. This is for syndra and heavy hitters of the like that have disgustingly high ap ratios they use frequently. Yes just one syndra ball might be added by 10 damage, but keep in mind shes using like 7 spells to kill you. In conjunction with the mpen it gives. The change was meaningful.

i think they should improve the dash animation, it feels clunky to use, remove some of the lag frames and the item will feel a lot better

Ofc i think shes strong and viable in pro, but in terms of champs design, shes kinda weak for pro for exmaple, and that what he means the patch doesnt do anything.
