  • This episode encompassed everything I wanted in this series: an ancient culture keeping tradition alive by moving those traditions into the modern world. The Yolngu are an Aboriginal group in Arnheim Land - Northern Territories of Australia, and in the town of Yirrkala, they have an art center that is unlike any you will likely find in the world. It's too hard to describe this episode in this youtube description box. Even as the producer I find myself watching it and still being a little awestruck with the width and breadth of what's going on up here - not only at the art center, but in Yolngu culture itself. This place was an eye opener.
