RC hobby is fun. I race electrics almost weekly at my local tracks. I bash Nitro for fun around the neighborhood, my neighbors know who I am, I’ve been terrorizing the neighborhood with nitro since 90s
But it is a good pass time to relax to build rc cars, tear em down, rebuild or customize them...my Outcast 8s has billet M2C upgrades...over 30 lb toy..with LED lights
Great job, I like the upgrades you did to the T Maxx. I love my Tmaxx 3.3 also. Not sure if I want to take out the easy start but I do like the pull start idea for all the reasons you mentioned.
My friend with a Revo has the same dilema and I told him to keep the easy start because it definitely is easier to just push a button. I don’t want to be responsible for someone getting frustrated over a pull start 😁. Thanks for watching!! I’m with you, I love my freakin T-Maxx I don’t care what anyone says 🤘
I currently have 3 tmaxx's and the Losi Aftershock. Im just wondering if you have or know of a source for the stock oem tires? Mine aren't too good, all dry rotted from the previous owner letting it sit kn a shelf in the sunlight for 3 or 4 years before selling it. Love the channel!❤👍
I’m always fine tuning my settings depending on how it’s running that day. It’s to hard to tell you what settings to use because there’s to many variables that will make it not work for a different setup. I start with stock needle settings and go from there. Low speed flush with the housing and high speed 3 turns out.
I have put grease on them but it seems to fling off and make a mess so I usually try to have spares for a quick swap. This Tmaxx now has metal center shafts. That day this one broke I was about 9 hours from home and no spares 🤦🏻♂️
I don’t check my temps often, not sure what it was at that day. I usually am fine as long I’m seeing a nice steady stream of smoke. Thanks for watching!
I just did 2 of mine with Boca Ceramic bearings. They were running a sale and I got each set for like 35 dollars. Seems to run extremely smooth, I do feel there’s a difference with ceramic but it could be just me trying to feel good about the purchase 😅. Other than that I’ve only used Fast Eddie. I’d also be fine using Boca or Avid regular bearings. Anything is better than the stock ones.
@@edrc1793 I just did one of my 3.3’s using boca bearings with the metal shields and they started leaking right away, is this normal? Or something with the block
I’m not sure on that one bud. I can’t say I’ve run my Boca bearing engines enough to really watch for this. I’ll keep an eye out for leakage. Either way I’d probably send Boca an email, they sell at a premium, you’d expect this to not be an issue.
Gonna build a brushless Tmaxx low rider from ground up......nitro is ok but speed is not enuff for me 😎

I spend hours in my hobby room. I too took a long break before this return to the hobby, just started back up with this whole Covid thing.

Forgot to say tires for the Aftershock! T-maxx tires available anywhere, lol.

What are the settings on your os carburetor? Thanks.

nice setup! what brand is your 60 weight oil from?
I use Losi oils, that's what they stock at my LHS. Thanks for watcing!
Hey ed like your videos question I have t maxx 3.3 what do I have to do to get bug body to fit ?
Did you heavily grease the connection between the shafts and cups? I find a powdered graphite spray is great for those.

I blew up two 3.3s doing wide open field runs with moderate grass. They just get so hot.
What are your temps? You beat your truck dude. Awesome

Love the wide open throttles! Screaming! I need to replace the bearings on my 3.3, what do you recommend? Wanna try something different than fast eddy
