nope! cantonese is more commonly used in southern china (e.g. guangdong, where xiaojun is from), hong kong (like jackson wang and vivi of loona), macau (hendery), and some regions in southeast asia
not sure what groups you stan but if you keep up w/ wayv for example you'll be able to compare how some of the members (or that one ex-member) sound when they speak in mandarin v. when they speak in cantonese
