The car, a Toyota Yaris WRC 2019, is a pure Japanese unbelievable piece of engineering. It's mechanical configurations, amazing steering ability, aerodynamics, uncontrollably powerful engine, and technical details make it the perfect rally racing car.
And the driver, Ott Tänak, is pure Estonian knowledge, a true motorsport genius. He has control over most of the car and memorizes the circuit perfectly and that causes the car not to crash, but instead, win.
They are not driving on a circuit and they are not memorizing. They have co drivers who tell them where to go :D

3:27 how can a car have this much mechanical grip? he was going at least 120kmh but looked like he was going 40kmh, these WRCs are really something else and kudos to the driver for handling such machine.

@@AKR088 If Mr. M really did speed up that clip in particular dont you think the guy at the end of that clip would have had a higher pitched voice? But he doesnt does he? There are several factors that come into play when spotting a sped up clip. People in the background, trees (as someone mentioned), sound, panning of the camera, stability\swaying of the camera. All points to it being a completely normal speed clip.

The suspension tuning on this is impeccable
This is not tuning. This is a f1 lvl machine in terms of study and tests before it competes. This is a million dollar car bro built by the absolute best in the world for this. This is the top product of toyota gr yaris wich is not even close to this. The gr yaris 4x4 280hp is the car they sell because they need to sell a number of yaris gr to be able to compete on wrc. In order for this car they rally on wrc to be legal they need to sell a limited edition of 5000 cars or they couldnt race.
@@hugovieira8024 you still need to tune the suspension... dampening, spring rates, travel geometry, alignment, etc. you clearly dont know as much as you think you do
@@maxreimann6734 thats not tuning. Tuning is what we do with cars. That is toyota building a toyota machine with toyota parts and projects.

Amazingly fast! You know I've got the stock steel wheels off a yaris on my 96hp protege, so I like to think I'm somewhat of a professional rally driver myself.
Probably would be a good race. I had a 08 Yaris.

It does look a bit weirder in my eyes but it has one of the best sounding 4 bangers out there
If we just talk about looks then the Hyundai & Citroen are cleaner and better looking, while Toyota gone full bonkers, but in a good way.
They are gonna use the new Yaris GR-4 as their new platform possibly in the near future which arguably look sleeker than the current one.

WRC cars HAVE to be road legal - so if you have money you can buy 1 and drive daily. Btw as they drive from stage to stage police can actually stop them for speeding etc.
