So long story short: I forgot to multiply the 664801 by 64. My original estimate was actually correct and we would need 20 octuple every second (about 120 spawners). Alternatively, that translates to about 6000 Emerald blocks a second. While I did mess up and forget to switch the crafter out of slow mode, it was using the octuples up way faster than they were being produced even in slow mode. That wasn't the main issue.
Why don't you put the octuples directly into the compressors? I understand they have too much emc for normal uses but the compressors are running all the time
So do you intend to go with spawners or will you move to EMC Duplication? I personally would prefer to see EMC duplication on a massive scale, matter condensers for each item with an EMC value, and ME crafting recipes that send an appropriate amount of whatever EMC storage block you use (probably still cobble) to the specified condenser whenever you need to craft said block/item. It would be really cool to see a system like that.
If he animates the liquid xp, spawns it and kills it, doesn't it drop like an item just like the water did thus making it untransportable via liquid cable?
Thetigerman588 even that won't solve the issue, the blocks have unequal cost, so splitting them equally and pulling out the items not allowing the machines to stop when full will cause way more of the cheap blocks to be crated than it's needed

This episode was more enjoyable than others you've been putting out it seems. (Not saying your other videos are bad, at all. Quite the complete opposite) There's just something about this one that made it really nice to watch. It might've been that it was more casual. As if you didn't feel much pressure to get it done or something. Who knows, either way, keep it up, Etho. :)
A couple of ideas: Keep the third and fourth cables on the crafter. You are creating a surplus and need to extract as fast as possible. Stop sending cobble back to the base. You are draining your resources and need as much as you can get. Set the cables to round robin mode. As of now, the system is prioritizing the closest ones, so the farther ones aren't getting anything. Increase the speed of the crafter. You can add more cables, but that doesn't matter if the crafter runs out.
ETHO! you forgot to turn on the extra item conduits at 33:00, that's why it's not pulling fast enough. You still need more octuple spawners but at least that fixes the problem with the uncrafting and pulling out.
Couldn’t you use a compacting drawer? No speed issues in/out, just filter the pull out to what you have. Just a thought, sorry if someone else suggested it already or if they removed them from the pack....
While the drawer would not solve the issue of too few octuples, he wouldn't have to use power and/or worry about setting up the recipes in the right way, plus the conversion is instant.
Etho! Good to see you, buddy! :) That singularity crafting room is a thing of beauty. Just a little fyi, the block drop from the animated blocks is a little wonky. Sometimes the block drops where the ghost/corpse/image thing lands (similar to xp orps). If you kill them with the super knockback sword, the block might go flying. The drop is 100%, but sometimes it's hard to find where it ended up. I never would have expected animated air. Thank you for the episode and I hope you have a fantastic day! :)
I couldn't see for sure, but it looks like you've only got 1 slot reserved for septuple compressed, which stays pretty full. Maybe it's stopping because the stack is full? What happens if you reserve a couple more slots for septuple compressed cobble? Also, your calculations didn't account for the fact that you're diverting a ton of the cobble back to the ME system instead of using it for singularities, so if you want to keep doing that, you'll need to spawn even more octuple mobs
Fluffarmy223 there's two stages of decompression. 8x->7x which goes in the internal storage, and then 7x->6x which goes in the external storage. I'm suggesting making more space for the 7x

Etho for your uncrafting problems you could use the little button next to redstone control one to change the speed mod of your crafter 3 and i think if you make your ender io cable go rond robin you can make more at the same time. Keep doing your videos you are one of the moste dedicated minecraft players and you show it by not using some tricks that some have used.
Etho, the fastest way of item transfer is with AE2, do a separate network that has only an interface and storage buses, the interface is the items entrypoint (using translocator from the crafter/crafters) and then since AE2 insta transfer items in a interface to the "inventory network AKA storage busses pointing towards the matter condensers". so: uncraft the octuple->translocator to a interface->interface to ME Controller-> ME Controller to 8 storage busses per side insta transfer with almost no LAG.

many people here have the same advice as I was going to say, use round robin on the cables. You can always over-do the emc by putting a few more rows of spawners in case thats your problem, if it's laggy or unnecessary just dont put any safari nets in them after you debug it :).
Etho - The only person to still fear a creeper when wearing draconic armor. Seriously the shield is completely broken and something like a creeper won't be able to hurt you even slightly. (the shield has a cap for how much a single hit can do as far as I know so it's only a lot of short fast attacks that actually hurt)
I am fairly certain that putting in the octuple compressed cobble inside an energy condenser will not cause you to loose anything. I just tried it out in a 1.7.10 version, unless there's a huge change with how Project-E works in this pack.
You should make a automatic emc generator for more information leave a coment. You could have reduced more the imaginary time block as an effect area of 5 by 5. You should make that farm in the last millenium dimension you will get less lag.
Great episode, been watching you for years now :) an Idea for your singularity generator, try putting the cables on round robbin? So the emc gets distributed more evenly, if not add a couple more mob spawners. Know your coming to the end of this one, hope you start another series similar when you do finish up
i think you can repair your tools and items into the washing machine, you can start it and run forever by keeping its bucket of soap in there with a vanilla damaged tool or armor piece. and plus if you want move around the washing machine with it still on you can use a cardboard
Set the item conduits that are pulling the sextuple cobblestone out of the crafter to round robin, this distributes the cobblestone equally instead of filling up each chest in order (which won't work out for the high EMC cost items that won't ever be full of cobblestone)
etho maybe have a separate spawner just for octuple compressed cobblestone production. It would be a copy of the one you just made but all the spawners would be the cobblestone. Also I suggested trying to use the dishwasher or whatever it is that repairs tools too try and repair the wand using the same trick you did with the armor.
To work with your mob juice issues, you could set either a Draconic or an EnderIO spawner to spawn slimes and then use multiple MFR grinders to extract the fluid. Pump that into the MFR spawner to fuel your Octuple grinder. On that token, though, what might be a better idea would be to make some new RFTools mining dimensions with emerald or octuple cobble.
Etho if you set the conduits to round robin they will spread the cobblestone evenly so you don't have to worry about any getting every bit of cobblestone
What I would recommend is to output the decompressed cobble(once you have fixed the spawning) into an enderchest with translocators and have the converters pull from one enderchest each with translocators.
Etho, if you use extra utilities hyper rationing pipes to put only 1 item in the condensers, you'll be able to keep all the condensers running easily. With tons of speed upgrades the extra utils pipes are insanely fast, faster than translocators, they'll keep the condensers running. If you use the extra utils pipes you won't get the lag translocators produce, and you can toggle them off with redstone. Combining that with rationing pipes that only let one stack in or hyper rationing pipes that let only one item in you won't have a long wait to get it started. ALSO, I'd check if the condensers can use octuples. If you put a bunch of octuples in at once it breaks the condenser, but if you use hyper rationing pipes they can take and use the octuples just fine, in my experience. Using the octuples directly would be faster and easier.
Etho, machines generally don't cause very much lag. A few things that do cause lag you may want to get rid of are the tinkers smeltery, lasers, and conduits. Also you didn't have to tear down the nether star farm! just unpower it and unchunkload
Etho, my tests are conclusive... Running octuple cobble through an energy condenser DOES NOT waste ant EMC, i put 1 octuple cobble into an energy condenser, i turned it back into cobble and put the cobble into a crafter to re-craft into octuple cobble, and it crafted fully... I also ran 1 octuple cobble into another energy condenser outputing cobble, and it went into another energy condenser turning the cobble into octuple cobble, and it converted perfectly... There is NO WASTE EMC with Octuple Cobble

The crafter has a speed option (it's the snail next to the redstone) and the conduits would be better if the extract was roundrobin.

OvenCake translocators are not cables. They can only translocate 1 block away and 1 inventory at a time

There is a `fast` mode in the auto crafter, if u click on the slug image it goes faster
Can create almost any block out of emc. Uses planks for THE late game build in the mod pack. This is the Ergo we love.

Etho, the reason your crafter wasn't keeping up was that it was on snail speed. It has 2 faster options (press the snail icon on the bottom left).

I found a way-overpowered EMC loophole (pack version 2.4.0); make red katars. They take about 8 million EMC in materials but are worth 2 billion.
The crafter's default speed is slow mode, there's a button you can click in the crafter menu to change it to fast mode

Set the item conduits that are pulling the sextuple cobblestone out of the crafter to round robin, this distributes the cobblestone equally instead of filling up each chest in order (which won't work out for the high EMC cost items that won't ever be full of cobblestone)
etho maybe have a separate spawner just for octuple compressed cobblestone production. It would be a copy of the one you just made but all the spawners would be the cobblestone.
Also I suggested trying to use the dishwasher or whatever it is that repairs tools too try and repair the wand using the same trick you did with the armor.

To work with your mob juice issues, you could set either a Draconic or an EnderIO spawner to spawn slimes and then use multiple MFR grinders to extract the fluid. Pump that into the MFR spawner to fuel your Octuple grinder. On that token, though, what might be a better idea would be to make some new RFTools mining dimensions with emerald or octuple cobble.

Etho if you set the conduits to round robin they will spread the cobblestone evenly so you don't have to worry about any getting every bit of cobblestone

What I would recommend is to output the decompressed cobble(once you have fixed the spawning) into an enderchest with translocators and have the converters pull from one enderchest each with translocators.

Etho, if you use extra utilities hyper rationing pipes to put only 1 item in the condensers, you'll be able to keep all the condensers running easily. With tons of speed upgrades the extra utils pipes are insanely fast, faster than translocators, they'll keep the condensers running.
If you use the extra utils pipes you won't get the lag translocators produce, and you can toggle them off with redstone. Combining that with rationing pipes that only let one stack in or hyper rationing pipes that let only one item in you won't have a long wait to get it started.
ALSO, I'd check if the condensers can use octuples. If you put a bunch of octuples in at once it breaks the condenser, but if you use hyper rationing pipes they can take and use the octuples just fine, in my experience. Using the octuples directly would be faster and easier.
Etho, machines generally don't cause very much lag. A few things that do cause lag you may want to get rid of are the tinkers smeltery, lasers, and conduits. Also you didn't have to tear down the nether star farm! just unpower it and unchunkload

Etho, my tests are conclusive... Running octuple cobble through an energy condenser DOES NOT waste ant EMC, i put 1 octuple cobble into an energy condenser, i turned it back into cobble and put the cobble into a crafter to re-craft into octuple cobble, and it crafted fully... I also ran 1 octuple cobble into another energy condenser outputing cobble, and it went into another energy condenser turning the cobble into octuple cobble, and it converted perfectly... There is NO WASTE EMC with Octuple Cobble
