When I first listened to them I was convinced that they were glorifying topics about suicide and drugs abuse but after years they have been my most listened to artist of all time from understanding their message.

With them going from the plagues to the "Footprints in the sand, Followed by a Rotten herd of Bison" which is the point I started to put pieces together like a puzzle as you know the Footprints in the sand when Jesus carries you and/or God is walking with you. So as the Footprints in the sand make there way (Jesus) the Herd of Rotten Bison in my logical thought process opinion would embody (Lucifer) and everything is coming to the end and there is a battle brewing and in the end everything will be backwards... such as SCRIM exclaiming the Choir singing his praises with phrases that let you know he is the Bastard of Satan, and in theology, a Choir is very commonly synonymous with praising and worshipping God & Christ, and then to settle the rest of the lyrics Scrim started as Yung Crist then went into Satan... so I guess we could kinda take the song with its exact literal like word for word basis with a little theological history in the verses or if you wanted to dive deeper, you could kind of take it like we all have our very best sides and yet if we are provoked until we explode that demon is waiting just beneath the surface to come out for air any chance they get... btw with you being a Christian I was sure you would have caught the line about making it rain alligator fangs, you know due to as you said God's chosen people that he wanted released and the pharaoh did not want to and you remember in the bible how they talked about how the Soldiers would gather babies and feed them to the alligators... anyways Great reaction bud!
Christians should actually love $B. The journey they have gone through shows how grace finds and saves. Both Ruby and Scrim are people who were sinners because of the lives they were born into. As they matured they grew to understand the destructive quality of life and turned around their behavior. They still enjoy life, they still flaunt, but those arnt sin. The music itself works like an attraction force for sinners and they discover the life story of Ruby and Scrim and relate to the depression they once had and the grace they later found.
The suicide boys used to be catholic or something. I'm Christian but not catholic. I honestly hate them and believe they are blasphemous. I could go into detail, but it's best to watch a video or look up why.
