I have psoriasis on my face. I wouldn't wish it on anybody; it is something that no amount of makeup can cover... Actually, makeup usually makes it look worse. Everyone in the comments making fun of Kim for being self-conscious about this have probably never had to deal with a skin condition.
i also have it. elbows, knees, ears and scalp mainly but sometimes occurs in other spots on my body. its honestly awful. especially having to explain to people all the time what it is when they ask. and in summer i remember not wanting to wear shorts or tshirta because it would show so i'd just overheat in jeans and long sleeves. but im just trying my best to wear what i want and be confident and accepting. also i am trying this oil and getting out in the sun, i think it is working.

Kim, you're actually really lucky, i have psoriasis all over my ankles, knees, hips, my stomach and back, arms, elbows, neck, face, and my scalp. i am only 15 years old, and developed this condition when i was 3 years old. i actually get bullied at school for this. everyone thinks that there is something wrong with me, and i just tell them that it's a rash because they won't understand. when i have swimming for gym at school, i have to get my mom to write a note saying that i can't participate because i'm too embarrassed of what they will think of me. to make matters even worse, the sun gets rid of my psoriasis for at least a couple of months, and i live in a country that could only get 1 week of good weather a year. so be grateful that you don't have it on your entire body.

I have psoriasis and it’s actually very hard to deal with. I am a model as well and I completely understand Kim’s fears with her appearance and having the disease, and honestly the last thing that her mom said “when your dating what do you tell them” resonates so much with me because I struggle with that still to this day. I avoid wearing black and wearing shorts and sitting on people’s dark couches because my SKIN will FLAKE OFF and some people think it’s gross. This disease is horrible

Literally skin conditions are no joke. I have eczema and it flares up underneath my eyes so everyday I go to school with really bad red patches and rash under my eyes. It's so embarrassing...everyone making fun of skin issues, I'd like to see you try and live a day with rash all over your skin and maybe you'll realize the pain of having to make sure the material won't irritate your skin and putting cream on the rashes and much as you can and not being able to expose your arms or legs because people stare at you. It really is horrible when people judge others. It's easy to pick out other's flaws, pick out your own and then talk.
Same! Teachers and kids used to treat me weird because of it, and people would constantly be asking me "what's wrong with your face?"
My eczema around the eyes can cause my eyes to swell. Luckily it’s stress related so it doesn’t happen so often! You need to hydrate your face often, there are hypoallergenic creams. Also soft creams with cortisol that are helpful against eczema around the eyes. I am curious about what your dermatologist recommended you, and what the cause is of your skin condition 😊
I don’t know if this is the same case as yours but eczema is an inflammable disease which attacks your immune system. (My blood levels went higher after having that problem) Sorry for giving so much information.

i understand her pain. I suffered from severe eczema when i was a kid i had to be hospitalized twice in a span of a year. i was only 6/7 years old. i still have it but its very mild compared to what ive gone through. skin conditions are not a joke.
skinny shishtar i have eczema too but when I was 10 it wasn’t that bad but when I turn 16 it’s worse I can’t even wear the hijab because of eczema (sry for bad english)

@@doireannconnolly6466 Actually my mother is a specialist in skin care and cured my brother who had the worst eczema as a child. Every night he used to cry non stop and sometimes bleed. It was hard for my single mother with 3 kids. She went to the doctors so many times, but they said they couldn't help that's when my mum decided to help her own son. She did a course and figured out the reason behind my brothers eczema and cured it! That's when she opened her business on Instagram 😄 i would really appreciate it if you could check out her Instagram *sg_naturals* and dm her for some help! Coming from someone who suffers from psoriasis I completely sympathise with Kim. I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. You can reduce it but you can’t cure it. It’s so frustrating. I’ve tried multiple medications and none of them have really worked apart from steroid creams and treatments. It affects your confidence and you constantly think that what people notice first about you is your psoriasis.

My dad has psoriasis since he is 20 years old. He has it all over his body and no matter what the doctor’s give him it just gets worse and worse. I wouldn't wish for anybody to have it, and even though it just seems like something minor and that we should be grateful for it to not be nothing deadly. It is still something horrible,his skin flakes all over and he can't even wear a no sleeve shirt without getting "the looks". He is now super self-conscious and has gained a lot of weight because of this. Anybody who has a skin disease even though it's just a minor thing should not be criticized for caring about how they look because after all that's what our society is based on.

Sending my love to you. I have psoriasis too. I was diagnosed 3 years ago when I was 20. I have had two flare-ups so far. The first(when I actually got diagnosed)I had just broken up with my boyfriend and it stressed me up. I used to cry every night until the flare-ups started. My dermatologist advised me and I kept reading online about it. I tried to keep my stress levels down and taking green tea to relax my mind. The second time I had a flare-up(2 years after the first) was due to stress again. Something had triggered my mind and I had let it stress me. I didn't try to keep my stress levels down but when I got back to my stress management therapy, the flare-ups went away. My advice is, you should stop crying everyday, embrace the condition (it does not affect our day to day activities anyway) and keep your stress levels down. The more you cry, the more the flare-ups darling.

My mother has had it since she was 10. Its all over her body and is really bad. I'm 24 and haven't had any sign of it yet and I hope I never get it. People treat you like a pariah. It's painful and honestly horrible.

Try Chinese creams. They have herbs or something they work Great it like clears up so quickly. It sometimes looks orange or yellow

Although I feel bad for her and for anybody with psoriasis, most people are lucky and don’t get it until adulthood. I have had psoriasis since I was 4 years old and I honestly can’t even remember what it was like without it. It sucks a lot and is hard on your self esteem especially as a kid, but also hard as an adult. But it’s not too hard to keep under control once you find the right treatment that works for your body. ✌️💕 🇨🇦

For once i can relate to Kim with this one,i always had allergic reactions on my skin,and since I'm fair skinned in this country it's noticeable,it is a real problem for me getting up, following schedules and treatments,medicine,diet all of it,even the environment is my enemy since apparently my skin burns at the sun(i don't have vampire disease), worst this condition i have is kinda difficult to explain even for my dermatologist

Psoriasis and she deals, and it goes away, it just always comes back. Sometimes you can't notice it at all and then other times it just flares up all over. It can scar but you can maintain it, and she has the money for that! My mum just deals.
Yeah psoriasis sucks, I too had a severe episode when I was 14 being covered from head to toe. It goes through cycles so you may have no manifestation for years. It is very important to take vitamins especially the ones that help the activity of the immune system including vitamin D. People suffering from autoimmun diseases have to take care of themselves even more cause you can't change genetics but you can control the lifestyle

Because psoriasis is genetic I understand why Kim blames her mother. My nona had psoriasis and it only passed down to one granddaughter out of 5 (me).. Sometimes I blame her for it, but I know she’s also blaming someone else. It’s hard to cope with it and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone .
My brother had this all over is body for years it’s cleared up a lot now but he had a lot of treatments
