The reason why I ultimately ship these two dorks they're the realest otp for me. SinB making up for her past judgements against Umji you can see it clearly she always takes care of her whenever and wherever, while Umji didn't give up and waited for her to be comfortable with her and now look where they are now being close and not leaving each other side, my babies have grown so much I love them to the moon and back 😍

All those experiences tested and challenged them, molded their characters and sealed their devotion and loyalty to each other - and *really* brought to them the importance and love of their fans. Without those hard times, I don't think they could have made it, much less gone from GFriend to *GODFRIEND.* Those hard times, and our girls' response to them, also took *us* from *fandom* to *family.* Well done, Bub Duo...

The friendship between SinB and Umji illustrates an unusual and deep dynamic: SinB was, in many ways, already a "toughened veteran" of the industry when she came to SouMu; impatient with anyone who had not "put in their time" in the business; showing her "reverse charm" and barely tolerating authority; headstrong and willful; the "difficult one." It was natural that she would resent an unproven late-comer like Umji. On Umji's part, yes, she needed the guidance and discipline provided by her unnies, but being so young, and so childish at heart, she desperately needed a "playmate" her age within the group too. The veteran SinB, for all of her tough exterior, was also only 16 when Gfriend debuted. When SinB's tough-girl defenses finally "cracked" and she opened her heart to Umji, BOTH got what they most needed. In SinB's case, Umji was her opportunity, and her excuse, to sometimes just *be a young schoolgirl*, playful and silly. Umji provided something SinB didn't even know she *needed* in her life - until she got it. Umji got her playmate - and when the "Ugly Ogre" hate campaign began, she got a fierce protector. Of such dynamics are lifelong friendships made... Good luck to you in showing this great relationship to the world!

Omg, my favourite otp ship is also UmB. Thanks for doing this cause there's not much maknae line videos out there. Although SinB didn't like umji from the start and I like how she was honest about it, but we can tell she really bonded well with umji now like best pals. Love your videos and the list of things SinB done for umji was so detailed 👍😂

It's not at all cringy if you look at it from the perspective that all girl groups go through this and this is a good example of growing past any differences. It's natural that young trainees under stress feel some friction between each other given that the entry into Kpop was designed to be competitive and stressful to see who had enough determination and wanted to be in Kpop bad enough. Not only did they resolve this but became secure enough to not only talk about it, but do it while being recorded for a popular public show. Clearly their binds for each other have grown. It's two thirds of Babe' and who else has the stamina and silliness to keep up with each other. Oh yeah, there is the "Mental Maknae".
For the new fans of ViViZ, both SinB & Umji were the maknaes of GFRIEND. And if you don't know GFRIEND, you're in for a treat..... This pair, which imo, is much more than a ship, they're like destined sisters from a more loveable sisterhood. This video is wonderful, well made, and a fantastic bookmark to uncover the past to their new beginnings alongside Eunha unnie. ViViZ hwaiting!!!
One factor about this ship. It's really hard to watch them while eating. Why? Because I don't want to miss anything, especially when Sinb becomes so soft to Umji.
