Anglo American model, basically free market economy suggested by Adam Smith and Nordan model, more like Keynes suggestion both have pros and cons . Keynes model of economic structure is modern and favorable since we cannot denies government interference in economy but it should be in way limited as per needed. We need to follow the golden path(middle path) since LPG reforms are also relevant and protectionist policies like isolation from RCEP is also important.

I'm in support of Capitalism but I'll definitely choose Nordic model for development of India(although it can't be applicable in India because we don't have that much economic resources and increasing of taxes will push rich class of India out into other tax havens, another reason for that is it can't be applied on a country of that big size like India having that much ethnic, religious and social diversity comprising of all people having different thoughts on measuring development parameters)
Anyways, Nordic model is overall better for development of ordinary citizen overall of concerned country because if your country is having alot of Millionaires and billionaires and a vast sum of public is still poor or lower middle class, it'll only promote hatred and exploitation of those people and could eventually result in a social collapse of society and would lead to repeatedly rallies and demonstration of those people eventually resulting in the political and social failure..

Anglo-American model is a rebranded version of Zamindari system. It does comes with it's own developmental benefits, but it harnesses the economic inequality problem.
Nordic model on the other hand is synchronous with India's अंत्योदय goal.
Yet Nordic model needs tweaking. But, regarding future, it would be more beneficial.

I think nordic model of economy is more efficient because if if see the american model, few are getting richer while the majority of people are being pushed towards poverty.
    Inequalities are rising in America.
On the other hand nordic countries are working toward human development by providing free education, which further endeavoring in economic prosperity.

Ans :- India can not afford social facility like Nordic country but we never allow that to get full control in capitalism specially in health, or basic needs because in pandemic we saw that trickle down of wealth not work properly and lakhs of migrant worker forced to get out of major city. Capitalism is best way to be competitive in world so India have to balanced both model and create our own as we are doing till now.

Being a Commonwealth nation, the Anglo-American aspect has influenced us to date. But the future model for the overall development of India could be a hybrid of Anglo-American & Nordic models. Using the Anglo-American model for economic growth and the Nordic model to ensure equitable development, we could benefit from our limited resources and demographic dividend. Even DPSPs (Directive Principles of State Policy) guides State to follow the Nordic model for the society. A free market will ensure stiff competition and facilitate innovation, taking us closer towards being Atmanirbhar(self-reliant) and hence government can easily facilitate a state of the art social security model.

An.-american ecnomic model-It is captalist model that emerged in 1970s.
Characteristics of this model include-Low level of taxation and regulations, minimal interference of public sector, strong private property rights and low barriers on free Trade.
    Whether
Nordic model- is the mixture of capitalism and socialism.
It have all capitalism characteristics but it have higher tax rates and public sector providing fundamental services (Education, Health etc.).
IN INDIAN CONTEXT- we should prefer combination of both models like
    (From an.-american model)
    a)Low tax and regulations.
b)Low barriers on free Trade etc.
    (From Nordic Model)
    c) Minimal cost of fundamental services (Health, Education etc.) by govt. Intervention.
    d) More welfare schemes by govt.
    e) a mandatory level of WAGES etc.
We have a low level of income and higher rate of poverty (28%) and not a good level of Literacy rate(74%) and Health Infrastructure etc. So we can't prefer higher tax rates and Completely market based economy (Capitalism).
So we can prefer combination of both characteristics.

According to a report only 10 % people holding 90%of wealth of India.Having huge income disparity I would suggest NORDIC model of growth.Following reasons
1 . Huge population having strong and unskilled labor force .
    2. Education quality poor and cost is higher than middle class income.
Maximum dropouts is also a reason
3.If government adopts Nordic model of taxation it will be for two type very high income should be taxed 50%and above
Lower income taxes should be lesser than 20%
4 . We have demographic advantages, having potential to develop with a very high rate
    5. To counter China this model will help India in a long run
    Results with this futuristic approach
1 Population will be automatically in control.
    2. Pathetic life of lower strata will be change
    3. People will be free to explore their skills and will happy
    4. Our HDI will increase with PCI
Conclusion: India should implement Nordic model with very much focus on greener energy solutions to reduce per capita carbon emissions because we have to save this earth 🌍 and to give a quality life to our citizens.

Both model focuses on particular thing like capitalism & other on socialism. In context of India , we can adopt things like - free market economy ( min. Government innervations) + social welfare for the lower middle income people , which helps us to achieve in terms of growth(GDP) as well as developement(per capita income+good life standard).

Nordic countries' economic model promotes social welfare and free public utility stuffs which in some extent also suggested in DPSP of our country. But to implement this we will face some problems like
    1. All Nordic countries have very small population, so public utilites can easily be provided by state
    2. We are in dawn of our growth process where they are in near full employment. So providing this stuffs is easy for them
    3. They have high tax rate which cannot be implemented in India because tax multiplier will show negative effect in our investment and GDP
    4. Their exports are capital intensive, our export is labour intensive, also unlike them we are consumer driven economy, we have resource crunch
USA economic model provides equal opportunity to grow for all individual but it leads to high inequality. Though there are tickle down effect but it's has time lag.
We should use a middle path where the inefficient sector should be disinvested but the sector providing social overhead capital like public utilites (education, transport, health) should be within public sector. So in one hand We should give chance to entrepreneur to grow so it brings investment, innovation also in other hand we should support marginalised section of the socity through various scheme like free education, free health like Nordic countries
Sir, didn't use any data as not using google.

1-Denmark, Sweden and Norway chose in the 1920s to invent an alternative economic model that put the well-being of the people first, instead of the well-being of capital; call it “the Nordic model.”
2-Nordics have had higher participation in the labor force than the U.S. and higher labor productivity
Country like Indian economy need to follow the steps of nordic economy my making education and labour strong

Preference is for privileged ones and country like our where vast population is underprivileged although the Nordic model seems more tending towards the welfare pattern enshrined in our constitution and it's principles but the task is still humongous. Whereas when we look at Anglo- American model it is much more realistic approach for our economic structure which will eventually if achieved ,will make us self sufficient to make our choices for tending towards a much more welfarestic goal like that of Nordic economy. Economy of a nation should reflect the condition of the last person at the end of the line, not mere a class which is deciding it hence we must strive for the best but prevalent status of our nation can't be overlooked before deciding any future plans.

    1) low income disparity
    2) social benefits like free edu and health and guaranteed pensions
    •Challenges
    1) large group of young tax payers and small group of old pension recipients is ideal scenario but in case population balance shifts like huge tax receivers then it will lead to reduction in benefits
    2) nordic model can attracts large number of immigrants will cause burden over system.

India is totally different country as compared to nordic nation & USA in many terms namely language, culture etc, considering this fact & what I observed India is following a mix of both, like education, health is free for every citizen in Govt. organisations, India is Open market likewise USA is, where India Lack the most are as under:-
    a) Scanty of resources per person;
    b) Gap between Information & Communication;
    c) Ground reality is different from paper work etc
So holistically, India is being Mix of Both, only improvement is needed as Improvement is ongoing process.

Anglo American Economic Model deals with free market orientation , while Nordic Model is more about mixed market economy ( free market with state intervention). When it comes to India keeping in mind vast population with limited resources , our model should be based on mixed market capitalist system which deals with high degree of private ownership. Success of any model lies in four keys education , heath care facility , poverty and job security. If s country is able to full fill it then the model is successful otherwise no model so far full fill all the parameters of being the best

In case of India I would prefer Anglo American model because of following reasons-
1.For achievement of Nordic model India needs to be highly industrialized but we are on initial phase of industrialization.
2.Businesses need to grow if we want to achieve more technologically superior industries in our country but higher tax rates will hinder this process.
3.For the implementation of Nordic model the mechanism present in India is too weak we are not able to get hold of black money with present mechanism how can we implement new one.
4.Per capita income of our country is too low and more taxes would mean the poor will get poorer.
5.Education system is still underdeveloped first we have to make it work smoothly then we can think of making higher studies free.
In end I would say the present need of India is Anglo American model mixed with indigenous ways and the Nordic model should be kept for future when we will be able to implement it properly through good mechanism.

In a country like India, where most of the population is living in rural areas we need to focus on upliftment of the poor and that can only be done by providing them with better health and education facilities at an affordable rate.
Anglo-American model focuses more on upper class and if we follow this model, government should make sure that these big houses pay their employees descent wages and contribute in health and education sector also, so that it helps in improving it.
On the other hand before following Nordic model we need to increase our per capita income to a level where people can pay high taxes and then we invest that money in these two sectors.

Upon looking into the deep diversification of Indian society, it is better to go with Nordic model as it will cost higher but definitely pays a better life for every citizen irrespective of diaspora differences.
Campaigns like ''Atmanirbhar Bharat" helping in creating job & thus strengthening economy and ensuring responsibility for accountable state moves. Hence these could be foreseen as better options to secure states' capital flow & hence can be used to make a "gradual" move towards Nordic model.

Indian population-1.3bn, very diverse backgrounds, many different races, high levels of immigration with a complicated policy
Sweden/Norway/Denmark/Finland/Iceland Population - About 26 million, largely homogenous with very low levels of immigration
Nordic countries are able to have a much more 'progressive' economic policy and stability simply because they are mostly the same people. Almost everyone works and generous pension policies are considered to be stable and afforded by high tax rates. It's my opinion that when you have a population that is homogenous, there tends to be less radical differences between ideas and much more tolerance towards a liberal welfare policy. They have very low instances of poverty and crime largely because the populations are so small and education is universally free.
But it's not an either-or thing. It's possible, and indeed a good idea, to look at policies that has been tried in other countries, and to implement those that seem like a good idea and a good fit to India.
Among policies that are highly popular in the Nordic countries, and that could perfectly well be implemented in USA if there was political support for it are:
1-Universal single-payer healthcare for every legal inhabitant.
    2-Compulsory minimum paid vacations.
3-Compulsory paid parental leave -- both maternal and paternal.
    4-decriminalise prostitution and abortion
5-A more progressive tax-system with higher taxes on high incomes and capital income.
6-Better access to good education for the poor; pick students by merit rather than by the size of their parents' wallet.
    7-Stronger worker-protection and consumer-protection laws
Political systems also play a role. The India is an old democracy and has a system where it’s very hard to make political changes or reforms, compared to many other countries. People may be hesitant about adopting big government programs, knowing that it would be hard to change them later. Our model was also traditionally to do things at the state-level, which is difficult because people can move easily, creating incentives to avoid taxes or collect benefits.

India needs a blend of Anglo - American economic model and the Nordic model of economy because for a sustainable and inclusive development India had to adopt both the models. While Anglo- American model ensures GDP growth and development of infrastructure which gives multiplier effect to the economy and I think it is not the ripe time to tax 50 to 60 % as we are a developing country and already out of pocket expenditure is very high in India. But gradual shift to the Nordic model is inevitable and what India can do is to introduce various slabs of taxes just like GST and tax more on bourgeoisie and less to mango people. Devolution and delegation of taxes to local authorities can be the game changer as local greivances is best resolved at local levels just as more power is given to federal units in America. Sir please mention my name in upcoming lecture 😂.

Definitely I would like to be considered Nordic model because one of the effective reason that standard of living is unbelievable.
In other countries most likely India where population density is so high
So it's not possible to follow Nordic model even European model is very far from own visualisation. so here i conclude that population is biggest challenge for us.
    Thankyou

Any tax model which inclined finally towards walefare of humane beings is good as U.S model expands the gap between common and rich people so NORDIC tax model is best and hence it would be better for Indian perspective.

In today's situation we should follow anglo-american model to grow the gdp because in india only 1% people pay income taxes so tax increment won't benefit. We should only focus on economic growth because in india, there is nearly one-third population live in poverty and we have unemployment issue as well and if we increase more taxes in india than it will demotivate the private sector to invest in our country and we need more investment in this situation for the gdp growth. Less tax and less interference in the economy by the government will possibly increase gdp growth but education and health should not be fully privatized like anglo American model, we can use the public private partnership in education and healthcare sector.

Both of their own pro cos, need to find a balanced hybrid approach given India's peculiar situation and potential.
From Anglo American model:. Increased productivity, tax incentives, marketisation, coupled with economy of scales and specialisation
From Nordic model: a basic safety net coupled with govt participation in education and healthcare. These two if given sufficient boost can be driving factor ahead to cover other socio economic objectives

We should adopt both models, but first of all, the Anglo American model first because the Nordic model requires natural resources that India has, but due to the large population, we can exploit it more by adopting. the Anglo American model first. We can strengthen the Nordic model, the Nordic model includes social things like education, health etc. and all these functions are not possible without a strong economy. Anglo-American model can make a difference between the upper and lower classes in society. But by adopting the Nordic model over time, we can also promote the social work of citizens with a strong economy.🙏

We need to follow Anglo American model because we are living with hostile neibours and in Nordic model has certain limitations in which there are less population. And India is also following the path of Nordic countries in sustainable development goals thats a middle path between two of them....but in larger aspects we will take atlest 10 years after that we will follow Nordic countries path in which 100% education ,lower huger rate, maximum happiness and many more

    anglo-american model
    pros. 1-lesser expensive than nordic
    2-flexible expenditure system
3- relieves individual from high tax system
    cons. 1-requires more resources
2- difficult for majority migrant students to cope with and study and work.
    nordic model
pros. 1- individual require lesser financial resources on education as they state sponsored.
2- makes somewhat easier for migrant students who work and study.
3- greatly bridges gender education gap btwn men and women.
4- improves litracy rate much faster.
5- great push for research and development.
6- helps achieve SDG-4 education for all faster.
to conclude we need maintain delicate ballance btwn flexible expenditure system like anglo-american which should be affordable for majority and education system like nordic which is available to the majority also.

India is in its developing phase on the other hand Nordic countries and America is developed ones because of their vast resources . Nordic model is based on public welfare and social development whereas American model is based on industrialization and capitalist liberal democracy both the models are good for overall development of their country but India should follow American model of industrialisation because till 1980s India mainly depends on primary industry many peoples were subsistence farmers which is not very profitable but in late 1980s indian government encouraged to setup factories within the country because of which india is now in its developing phase

We should take best practices from everywhere as our constitution makers did while framing our constitution...
There should be little change in approach because size of country and population make it difficult .
Health should be insurance based initially...where govt should support BPL in there premium...
And in education there can more scholarships, books(libraries)
(In short there should be hand holding and not spoonfeeding...)

Would you prefer the Anglo-American economic model over the Nordic model?
Ans:- In case of india its has very large population still under below poverty line
After 1991 liberalisation economy boom but its didn't distributed wealth accordingly service sector outperformed manufacturing and agricultiral sector which provide largest employment but still doesn't create enough wealth which can be distribtuted among the citizens via taxation.
First we need to make india more fedral compared to quasi fedral , states needed to be given more power and resources to create infrastructure like healthcare and education only the nordic model of capitalism can be successful in our country bcz some states are very poorly connected to infrastructure .
High taxation on income is not a major problem bcz generally people save or invest for better healthcare , education , employment but if goverment is providing by taxing the income even if the rate is higher than in a long run people will adjust with it .
So , we can't directly went for nordic model first distribution of power is necessary only than economical structure can be improved of this big country
    Thanking you

Life of an individual more or less depends on the economic model of a particular country .
Every country has an unique economic model which is based on their society and the people . Both economic models are good on their own aspects however there are some good features and not so good features too , But we can't prefer a particular economic model over others
What we can do is , implementing those good features in our own economic model which is sustainable , suitable and acceptable for us .
    I'm Beginner sir.

For the rapid growth of India i would say the anglo American model will be good but for a long term sight when we will be capable then the Nordic model will be a better option.
It is a general idea but i think these models will not work effectively in india because in both cases America and Nordic countries, they both enjoys friendly neighborhood where as we are bound to pump more money on our defence rather on health or other infrastructure. So the better option will be to mix up the both model and select specifically those things that will benefit us in a long term.
Like we can borrow free Trade market but with high taxes on extra rich and use that money to pump into health infra or education.
    Decrease carbon footprint.
Balance the equality like Nordics. Etc

I would prefer nordic model but this should be implemented by states itself. Not by the central govt. as India is vast and if central govt will implement this there is a high chance of corruption or wasteage of resources. And in recent years a trend is being observed that the billionaires of our country leaving our country. For which private investment is not happening so it is the need that govt. should tax the rest billionaire. Also as the private players enter in fields of education and health the govt. start neglecting the public health and education system for which citizen turn for private where the fee is very high. So if govt apply the nordic model properly then huge investment will be done in public system. Due to competition private institutions forcefully have to lower their fee and the ultimate benefit will be of the citizens. And it is the best time as India has resources and money which is generated by semi-anglo american model.

It is not possible to implemenation of Nordic model directly but one way is also available it's called" middle way" such as mix economy in india
Due to vast divirsity in socially and economically .
Nordic countries use the trick of " jyada wale se lo kam wale ko baanto". And one more thing firstly we should improve in our education and health at any cost.

    ANGLO-AMERICAN MODEL
    1. Nordic countries are based on particular pillar(forestry/oil/defence export) which is not in the case of India.
    2. With India's population, free services is not possible.
    3. India is still in its developing phase so, we still need to develop facilities at par with Nordic countries.
    4. We need GDP growth of 7-8%, investment, industries which can be achieved through ANGLO-AMERICAN model.
    5. Nordic countries have peaceful neighbours but India had to counter with Pakistan, China and others.
    6. As money flows from high level to low (businessman to worker) and amalgamate it with the government schemes, worker class will be benefited as well.
