Expert Slicer player here! I think it's one of the highest winrates decks at my LGS in my hands. It's a legend that makes politics half of your plan: in this way being at an hardcore cEDH table is part of the requisites to play in the most efficient way, because you're going to say true things that need to be listened to as they MUST be relevant. I.e. "why remove it now when you can wait the equip on my turn and make me waste more mana? It's objectively a choice that is less mana efficient for the entire table." I think that in order to brew a superior Slicer list you have to properly understand the hierarchy of the cards that are conforming to your plan the best. In this example you presented, I am not sure that their brewers, respectfully, allocated the proper amount of consideration towards Trample. Which should be near non-existent. Trample doesn't work as 95% of the players think. Trample is as literally as I write it: 'the ATTACKING PLAYER decides how to distribute damage between defending creature(s) and the defending player life' which translates into if you have a 10 power trampling slicer, the attacking opponent that is attacking another player can dump all 10 damage on the 1/1 blocking it. I love Slicer and it's maybe the one deck that I will never disassemble, and I am a meta player that enjoys mardu, Atraxa, blue farm, dargo thrasios, and their likes. It's an extremely fun deck to pilot that consistently makes you the protagonist of the table, even without being the focus at all times. Also until you try you'll never know what it means to have the most powerful card of your deck in the command zone! Gee I love talking about it. Glad to see you react to my slicer deck, Slicer i think is one of those commanders that people think they can handle and while it will have an affect on a game, I wanted to use that to my advantage. That is why the deck runs a lot of prison pieces, I dont need to lock down the game for ever just enough for a couple turns for slicer to go to town.
Slicer + Reaver Cleaver = BAD IDEA. This means the player swinging gets the treasure unlike Jitte and Swords where you get the buff. Cleaver is "creature gets..." so it is a creature trigger. Advise you swap it out
All 8 decks have some sick tech. If we've got to pick... I think the speed potential of the grixis Kess list in pod 1. In pod 2 I want to say the bloodpod variant would be my pick, but with all the other creature decks its matched with I have to pick the War Doctor jeskai list.. removal on a stick seems good here.
In the animar deck rather than have the compost id play Season of growth because itll scry you to something you want faster than hoping a black card hits a graveyard
Compost is either REALLY hot or really cold. The version of the list discussed in the video is an iteration that was right before a good-sized revision where Compost got slotted out. In its place, I've been really impressed by Ghostly Pilferer (vs partners, underworld breach, Bolas' Citadel, Mnemonic Betrayal, Ob Nix, etc).
Slicer player here. Just wanna state for other slicer players rever cleaver is a bad equipment that give your opponent treasures when they control slicer with it. As it said "equipped creature has" not when the equipped creature. But love seeing some good slicer games. Really messed up normal cedh and makes games very fun and interactive.

For Pod 1, I have to vote for Burakos; I've long been a fan of the commander (although I used to play it in Rakdos colors). Slicer is frightening, but can usually be relatively easily dealt with assuming the rest of the pod has the slightest idea how fast he is. For Pod 2, Max and Will, no contest there...
Reaver Cleaver is bad on Slicer, because your opponents get the treasures when they attack with Slicer. Surprised to see it got a spot in the list, tbh.
just a heads up: The Reaver Cleaver isn't great in Slicer because it gives *Slicer* the ability, meaning that when your opponents swing with him, *they* get those treasures because they control him, not you. compare to a card like Goldvein Pick, which has the ability on itself, and since you still control the equipments even when Slicer gets passed around, you do get those treasures yourself.
cEDH is much more about the 99 than the legend. And lists tend to have an omogeneus consensus on which are the strongest cards. See ComedIan, it's one of the ten players in the world of competitive tournaments he can play any list and do tops. If you know how to mulligan you can achieve results with any legend. Your answer is good, but it's answering to the wrong question: do not assume that "the best deck on average in the hand of most players" tricks you into thinking that "what appears less is completely not viable". Otherwise we wouldn't have top 16s without unknown commaders every now and then. Is a commander that you never heard that gets in the top 10 of a 100+ player event "cEDH viable"? When you attempt to answer that you can see the point of the matter.
