    I got the KS8500 in March, and I remember it was such a pain in the ass to get out, it ended up being Cracked due to the tight packaging.
    I got 9600 model oled, and it was so much easier to get out.
    Samsung needs to get better at packaging

    I recently purchased this TV and put my KS9000 in my master bedroom. I'm surprised this unit doesn't have q dot technology as the picture from the MU9000 is sharper and black levels are much better than the KS.

      therealaltaego theres an easy way to decide the samsung has a edge light backlight which is garbage unless you like light bleed then theres the sony 900e which i have with a full array backlight which has no light bleed and a picture quality better than the 2016 samsung suhd series ks8500 which i had and got rid of it cause of light bleed which is annoying and unacceptable for a top tier tv

    Just returned my Samsung Q9 for a LG Oled G7, and I think it was a mistake. Just set it up yesterday and will give it some time for break in. One thing that is bothering me is that I'm seeing black banding. On the right side I have a 2" dark band that can be seen in dark gray scenes.

    • @aaronbarkley81
      @aaronbarkley81 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      akaredcrossbow yes I returned a C6 because the only thing that was good was black levels and colors. It lacked the fine detail of the Samsungs except for maybe high end 4K content. To my eyes my 65ku6300 has a sharper picture for standard material and upscales much better.

  • @gregr9225

    A general question but I figured I'd post it here since this is your most recent upload. I've noticed that for some reason, certain TVs just look off or wrong to me, and that I feel uncomfortable or start spacing out when watching them, while others look extremely pleasing, and I feel a sense of focus and excitement when watching, but I can't for the life of me pinpoint the reason. Super high end models tend to always look good, but I've had experiences where lower end models have looked much better than mid level models. Also, with TVs that look good to me, I can basically leave the settings alone, whereas with ones that don't even weeks of playing with the settings won't fix the problem. Any ideas as to why certain TVs feel uncomfortable or dull and others feel pleasurable and exciting irrespective of which is a higher model?

    1. What's the difference between MU and NU series.
    2. Currently, I bought NU710D and I realize that it doesn't have Bluetooth hardware and 3.5mm Audio Jack and so I am unable to pair my Bluetooth headphone and wireless mouse and keyboard. Can you please suggest me any Samsung 4k UHD or QLED TV's which are having these features(Bluetooth hardware and 3.5mm Audio Jack) and mostly I use the TV for 4K UHD Gaming and Watching movies. Please let me know.
    Thank you and appreciate it

    I wish u would do a comparison vs ks8000

    • @rustler08
      @rustler08 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That would be a pointless comparison, the KS8000 is superior and there is no reason to compare the two. The only two categories where the MU8000 is superior is in construction quality and in motion trails. In every other category, from brightness to color volume, the KS8000 wins. I believe it even wins in pricing, which is funny.

      Ben Kulik the mu series is not very good from what I've read. The ks series is more comparable to the the qled tv's

    • @MyReviews_karkan
      @MyReviews_karkan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ben Kulik ks8000 is simply a much much better TV due to the fact that it has quantum dots in it. mu8000 doesn't. I work for Samsung 😁

    • @blackapino4life
      @blackapino4life 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I heard from Samsung corporate on the inside that the mu8000 and 9000 are still quantum dot just not mentioned because they are leaning people to buy qled I looked at both side by side only difference I seen was the screen finishing like the ks8000 its has motheye and is glossy vs mu is semi glossy and doesn't reflect light

    i have the 55MU8000 and dont have the Picture modes cal-night and cal-day ?! also the Movie mode looks terrible. Its very yellow maybe because it also switches the picture temperature to warm2. I use Dynamic which gives me a great vibrant picture quality. HD source material looks brilliant in that mode. 4K even better ofcourse . Love this tv. Great picture, sound and the motion plus feature is awesome. Very smooth picture movement. I use 10 for the first option ( forgot what its called) and 4-7 for judder.
    i turn this off when i play with my console to get the lowest ms possible for this tv which is fantastic. Only 22 ms. I dont use Gaming mode because the picture looks worse in this mode. UHD Color are activated to get an even better picture. Also the 49" model only has a 60hz panel. Starting from 55" they have a native 100hz Panel which was important for me when i was looking for a new tv. I cant stand judder.

    • @angelvalentinmojica6967
      @angelvalentinmojica6967 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bob Mat if I am not mistaken, it has to be on game mode in order to get 22ms of input lag.

    • @bobmat5140
      @bobmat5140 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you are probably right but i`ve tested the response time ingame with and without gamemode and i didnt notice a big difference so i leave gamemode off and have a much better picture instead. I tried it with battlefield 1. Reaction time is key here ofcourse.

    Hello,
    when can we expect full test of this tv?
    It's quite a long time after unboxing and some other tests was published :)
    I'm quite interested cause this is only test of 49" version which have 60Hz panel while other sizes have 120Hz.
    I'm curious how this model handles motion - is it very bad or quite good choice for sport?

      Just noticed on the Samsung site that the 49" version does not have 'supreme motion' mode. So maybe not even a 120hz panel like the others (?). Time I looked at other manufacturers I think.

    Thank you for your good and practical videos. can you please help me with choosing between MU7000 and MU8000 (European models)? My primary use of it would be 4k computer monitor. Plan is to connect TV to the MacBook Pro. I already have, USB-C to HDMI 2.0 60Hz adapter and also good HDMI cable. Please, also include in your answer with one will be more future proof. Thank you very much. Greetings from Serbia.

      Komaromi Sasa I’ve got the 75 inch MU8000 ( European model) and it’s great. I almost chose the MU7000 but decided on the mu8000 as it’s slightly brighter and has a true 10 bit panel. From what I’ve heard they are pretty similar on performance though. I’m running my Denon amp through it with PS4 pro, Apple 4k tv, Xbox one S and Sky Q uhd. I had to adjust the picture settings a fair amount for what I wanted but got it looking perfect now.

    Does anyone know why 120Hz TVs and monitors have been around for some time already but when it comes to tablets, the new iPad Pro is the first 120Hz device and no phone has a 120Hz display yet?

      It was explained to me that one reason was energy consumption and the other, somewhat related, was figuring out how to switch from 120hz to lower refresh rates when needed or possible for energy conservation.

    Unboxing ? On this video the screen came out of the box just by itself !
    At the least, we would have expect to watch how to lift the screen vertically (2 persons required) or maybe to slide it out of the box in horizontal position. On my 7QF model there is no room underneath at all for a hand to grasp the bottom of the screen

    I returned the Samsung 55MU9000 and replaced it for lg oled 55b7,. Oled has a better contrast , better black colors ,cleaner and more natural pictures, a better viewing angle .qled is the trash from the TV

    This settings are very complicated ... I think samsung should add Colour Setting Template for every Viewing Activity and Make them available for download . Most of us cant go thru all this to get a TV colour settings done.

      Please Guda, don't make a useless point here. Unpacking is important. I purchased a 49 Q7F model but on the outside of the box Samsung has put to many icons, of which only a few are to be understood. This is most valuable to know how to open the box and to see what can be expected to assemble the TV.

    It's incredibly annoying by the way that the "Local Dimming" only has Low, Medium or High settings in the 2017 Samsung models. This basically does that your measures differs all the time since the function isn't possible to switch off, like you could do last year with "Smart LED". The only way around it is to set your colorimeter to clip 3 times or more to get as accurate values as possible and calibrate from that. And on top of that, you can't calibrate with the menu up anymore, that will also affect the values you get..
    You got any tips or tricks on this mate? :)

    I was under the impression that you shouldn't lay a TV flat? It certainly would make it easier to be able to lay it flat.

    My 8 year old Sony LCD 52xbr9 died. Went with the NU800D which is the Costco version of the NU8000. What a horrible TV. My 8 year old Sony picture quality is years ahead of the Samsung. The Sony picture was so natural and vibrant. The Samsung color is way saturated. Way too much bright it's really hard to watch in a low light room. Oh the motion, the Samsung does a marginal job being (240 motion). However the Samsung is almost $500 cheaper than a similar Sony. But I'm going back to Sony.

    Samsung makes shitty TVs because they're LCD TVs with a LED backlight. LG OLED is the king of all 4K TVs.
