Nice job overall, though I'm a bit confused about what does or doesn't count as gimmick sometimes. For example both New Ways to Motivate Them and Coordinated Fire can be very powerful but do require certain units in your list in order to be useful. Considering the fact that it's NWTMT that causes you to adopt a rather unusual and highly specific strategy while CF just makes your units more powerful at what they'd already do, I'd count NWTMT as a gimmick while CF is simply a solid A-tier card for any imperial gunline. You did the exact opposite and I'm not sure why. Also a couple of things worth noting: 1.Palpatine's And Now You Will Die is often misused as a kamikaze style attack that's played too early and without considering if you're trading Palp for something equally valuable. However it is an absolute life saver against melee skew lists. Many people completely miss the part about Palp handing out immobilize tokens. Zapping each incoming Wookie or Magna squad or a force user even just once is usually enough to change the situation dramatically since they are suddenly out of the charge range and basically sitting ducks for the rest of your army to shoot at. It's also great for stopping the opponent's Hostage Unit. You don't even need to wound yourself if you don't think it's worth it. Quite often putting that one immobilize token on something is a game winning move and it's enough of a reason to play that card. 2. Krennic's Deploy the Garrison has excellent synergy with Death Troopers because they get a free aim token every time they perform a standby action. Other than that I think your list is spot on.

Whip chord is a free action. So he can jump in, whip chord, and jump back. And idens 2 pip with her extra weapon has blast. So 5 red with surge and blast is awesome. She basically has sharpshooter 2 with 2 of her command cards
I disagree with your ideas on what makes a card a gimmick card or not. Pinned down isn’t used with a specific list in a gimmick scenario, but rather is a pretty universal card for any heavy or support vehicle list which is solid on its own while also having an ability that works against various different lists and can force plays. I think that card is a high B tier or A tier. When I think of a Gimmick card, I think of extremely wonky or heavily situational cards that are really only viable with a very specific list. The generic 2 pip though can be generally used with pretty much any list including 2 vehicles and can be game winning. It seems odd that you considered NWTM an A tier card for this reasoning but not the generic 2 pip. Otherwise, fun list to watch! And agree with most takes here!
Nice list, although I'm not sure that a 'gimmick tier' is really helpful to the discussion about whether a card is useful or not. Something can quite easily be a gimmick but also powerful in the right list, so writing it off seems like a bit of a cop out. Might be worth considering altering the format (pray I don't alter it any further) if you do any tier lists in the future!
Edit: i was corrected. You can place them, see comment below. I am pretty sure you cannot put creature troopers on top of buildings. Source: forums.atomicmassgames.com/topic/1543-vaders-might-move-or-placement/?tab=comments#comment-7696
Watching this and the only reason i dislike parts of it is the gimmick tier in general. saying Pinned down is a gimmick due to what you have to bring should be moot when you have ANY card that only benefits one character pretty much any vader or bounty hunter card

Agreed, a card can be in gimmick tier but also quite useful in some lists. Just because it's niche doesn't mean it shouldn't be assigned a rank.

Woo! Not watched it yet but love the legion content, thanks!
Are you saying Boba Fett looks cool and has plenty of gagdets but lacks the skill to use them ? They really nailed his adaptation into a game !
Great video and ranking!
Thanks for the list.
Thank you
