Did you get they k8? I am not sure if i should get the k8 the Jbl lsr308 or the m-Audio bx8 Carbon, for the k8 i would not Need a Mixer which is a pro in my opinion.
I was thinking of getting the smaller one of these for having a distorted effect only playing bass out of Amplitube 5, I already have a Kali KP-6 monitor for a clean unaffected sound, but recently I discovered it is best to split a clean and distorted sound so now I just need a monitor to do that without needing to buy a pair of monitors. Would this monitor be a good selection for this as I don't need another big monitor just for effected sound to come through, I have little room left on my desk as well.
My Krk5s I would say sound better than my k8s. The bass is not as loud with the k8 but somehow the Lows manage to overwhelm the mids with them. Most likely going to use them as reference monitors. It's easier to pinpoint sounds with the rokits. K8 just sounds more blended
Wonder how the 5" version sound signature compares to the KRK Rokit 5. The new KRK speakers have a fatal flaw - an auto-standby that turns the speaker off after a few minutes, and then takes a lot of input to get them going again. Well, that, and Gibson's horrible service...
+Fruityflava Good question, we haven't had a chance to review it yet, here's our full review of the K5 & K8 (where it mentions the K6): www.digitaldjtips.com/2015/10/review-video-behringer-nekkst-speaker-monitors/
Get the Yamahas H5 or H8. The presonus' die too quick with the first power surge or power drop out. The Yamahas sound better and can handle power discrepancies better. And yes I speak from experience unfortunately.
Hello. In Ukraine, monitors K5 (pair) with bluetooth active and passive are sold in one set. But on the site such a model is not declared. Is it a fake or not?
Your SO not right on these OMHO. GREAT Response across the low mid range to very high stays VERY CLEAR.-forget adding a subwoofer like I did. Mixing it right you do not need it. Mine sitt right beside New Eris 5XT's and they are more bassy with the exact SAME FEED. Mixing but can be used all NOT Flat RESPONSE for that tender ear of yours.
@@levijessegonzalez3629 In my Humble Opinion the BIG Difference is how the room is treated Vs. Speakers & Power or size. In a small room 10ftX10ftX8 ft treat the room after your analysis with REW. Using headphones will teach you how your speakers sound mixing moving forward to Mastering at about 30 Db which is to load say 25 Db.
@@digitaldjtips You have to buy them to try them in person, I've never seen these speakers anywhere and it's 2019 90% of people do their shopping online that's why brick and mortar stores are dying left and right. After watching this review i still have the exact question i had before i watched the video, WHAT DO THEY SOUND LIKE? I can't just take your word for it i need to hear them
@@Drip4Less_ Well, you won't get any idea of how they sound off of a recording. Even if it's not a youtube video, just a plain old wav, you will have no idea at all how it sounds, only how it records. That sound is only informative when you wanna record that speaker, i.e. bass/guitar cabinet speakers. The only tests informative for the comparison of monitor speakers are their frequency response (mildly informative, as microphone and the room there make quite a bit of a change) and A/B testing on mixing with the same engineer in a room.
@@digitaldjtips I agree. There's NO WAY you can tell what a speaker sounds like from a TH-cam video. Recording a speaker really just records the ROOM, not the speaker (and most YT "reviewers" just use the built-in camera mic to record it!). Then by the time it goes through TH-cam compression and plays through MY SPEAKERS, the sound has been altered to point of being useless for making any kind of reliable judgement. That's like watching a commercial for a Television that shows you how great the picture quality is and thinking: "Wow, that display looks WAY better than the display I'm viewing it on!" (???). I can't stand speaker review videos where they just play sound clips and say NOTHING about the speakers.
great video and really well presented, think I may get the K8 set soon! Thanks.
+James C thanks man :)

+Maxi86inAction i would use the Monitors on my PC for listening to Music and sometimes smaller Parties with Friends on higher volumes.
LOVE my pair of K6's.
Awesome to hear Justin
Hey. Do you know big of difference in low between the k6 and k8? I mean might as well go with the k8 or k6 is enough

Great review with everything well explained.
What happened to the K6 in the review line-up?

i always thought it was pronounced "be-ringer"
Any review without a demo is a waste of time *facepalms*
